1 out of 5 eggsWorthless Customer Service

Pros: Worked for over a year
built-in Bluetooth and Wifi are a plus
USB 3.0 rear & front panel header were nice for it's time

Cons: Once components started failing within the warranty period the nightmare began. First the PCI-Express slot worked intermittently. I swapped to the onboard ports to continue use. It was a problem (especially since I was running an ATI 5950) but I took it as the signs of an aging board.

Then I began having trouble with other components and decided I needed to call customer service to see what could be done. This was around the end of October. I was told that I could pay to RMA the board and they would send me a working replacement. Ok, that was reasonable- I sent the board in.

I received the 1st return board and plugged it in...the network port and PCI-E slot were not working. I called again and MSI agreed to pay for return shipping this time, after I asked. So off went board number 2.

I received the 2nd return board and upon visual inspection noticed that several of the header pins were smashed nearly flat. I called for another RMA at MSI's expense. The phone rep said that he could put a note in the RMA request that the board be pulled and have a burn-in test performed. He assured me that this would ensure I get a working board in return. So, I sent off the board off.

I received the 3rd return board last night (1-4-16) over 2 months after my initial request for a working board. After noting that the locking plastic USB 3.0 header cover was missing (ensuring that the front panel header is not attached backwards) I began to hook everything up. Once again, on boot the LAN port was not working- even though I tried it with 2 confirmed working cables. Also, the front panel USB 3.0 header did not work (after pulling up the image from Newegg's archive to confirm which direction the plug should face.

At this point, I see no reason to try and contact MSI again. Clearly, they send out un-tested replacements when RMAs are received EVEN AFTER OFFERING ASSURANCES TO THEIR CUSTOMERS TO THE CONTRARY.

The real kicker for me was that this was the first "Military Class" product I'd purchased. I planned on running it to failure, which seemed like it'd be a long time.

Other Thoughts: While I have owned some MSI products over the last 15 years and had no problem within the warranty periods, I will not be purchasing other MSI products unless miraculously I can somehow feel differently about this fiasco.

5 out of 5 eggsGood deal, working well

Pros: Motherboard works.

Cons: I've only had one problem with it where it randomly stopped POSTing. Reseting the CMOS fixed the problem, and everything was working well again.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat little board, wish I got the newer model

Pros: Great little board, good layout, nice that it has WIFI and Bluetooth built in. Good build quality and nicely laid out.

Cons: The WiFi antenna hangs by a thread and falls out all the time. Wifi works without the antenna but there is a rang decrease. I usually have a wired connection but this could be a problem for someone who is unable to run a wire. I noticed they went with a screw in antenna in the newer model.

Other Thoughts: Over all I am very happy with this board and MSI in general. These APUs are impressive, I have this system connected to my game room's projector and it runs most games on high settings without a dedicated graphics card.

5 out of 5 eggs2nd one is ok too

Pros: FM2, HDMI support, USB 3, 6Gb/s SATA, WiFi, Gigabit LAN, eSATA port, GUI based BIOS is easy to work with, 32 GB Max, DDR3 1866 natively, etc.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: This is my second build using this MB and just like the first it ran right from the get go. Don't' know if I'm experiencing some type of "other OS" memory block but, Windows 8 installs with this board flawlessly (boot from USB DVD.)

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: None

Cons: Never made it POST and no beeps to trouble shoot. Never displayed anything on screen. Pretty much DOA. I see a lot of these types of reviews for this mobo and I wish I took heed. Just a bad batch or...?

4 out of 5 eggsNice board with built in wifi

Pros: Built in WiFi is a plus. Everything works as it should and bios is easy to navigate.

Cons: No audio beeps, and location of sata ports make it tricky to route sata cables in a mini atx case.

1 out of 5 eggsBurned by MSI

Pros: No Pros - does not boot with Richland CPU

Cons: Needs BIOS update to work with Richland CPU - but I don't have a Trinity CPU to make the update. Nice setup to update from USB but it's useless w/o the downgrade CPU - duh.

Other Thoughts: Why does this happen? Mobo vendors sell product with known problems with next gen CPUs then vendors (NewEgg) ship them out to customers who want next gen CPUs on mobos - which are marked 'Richland ready' - if the mobo is 'Richland ready' it should boot with Richland CPU. The circus of having to buy an obsolete CPU to update a mobo that is 'ready' for a new CPU is absurd. This is the last MSI mobo I will buy - ever.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the issues that you are having with this product.
If this product was purchased on Newegg after Jun 2013 then it is Richland ready.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Value Mobo

Pros: I purchased two of these for two mini-itx builds and both were built very well, as well as Cooler master hyper evo 212 compatible.

Cons: The MSI bios/drivers gave me some severe troubles on one board forcing me to reset the C-MOS multiple times.
Only 2 fan slots. (1 CPU, 1 other)

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: None, would not work.

Cons: I have built a few computers, and I have even owned a msi mobo before. This is the first time I have ever had this kind of problem.

I was not getting a POST, no beep. Checked to see if it was RAM, tried a different type, different row (1 or 2) and even none at all. Got 3 beeps. I've also have never had a CPU fry on me so I am assuming it is the mobo. Sending it back and getting a different company.

Other Thoughts: Just DOA. Probably a bad one but I am not going to try again. Going to look at another company.
