1 out of 5 eggsthis garbage keeps rebooting without warning

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Lets see...
Random restarts constantly without warnings, sometimes just loses display and freezes computer, I tried my psu with another mb and same with my graphics card they worked perfect for hours and hours without any problems. However once I use them with this mb, my computer continues to do random restarts and it annoys the hell out of me. I pretty much consider this mb to be dead, im def buying a far better one.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,
Based on the symptom you reported, we suggest you checking following steps below since many reasons can cause the situation like this ,
1. Check and make sure that power are connected correctly and firmly (JPWR1 and JPRW2).
2. Check your other major hardware’s (memory, video card, CPU and power supply) to ensure that they are not the cause of the issue.
3. If you need further assistant, please feel free to contact our technical support department directly at 626.271.1004 from M to F, 6am to 6pm Pacific standard Time.

Best Regards,

2 out of 5 eggsExtremely problematic

Pros: Is a motherboard

Cons: - 1 Case Fan Connector

- Extremely tiny. If you insert a GPU and a heat sink, you will BARELY have any room. I had to nearly break my finger against my GPU to install the ram.

-WHO PUTS THE CMOS BATTERY UNDER THE GPU?SERIOUSLY

Other Thoughts: You can get a MUCH better board at this price.

3 out of 5 eggsRead Carefully

Pros: 6 x SATA 3 6Gbs, USB 3.0, PCI-E x16 3.0, decent layout.

Cons: can not get the voltage to regulate for nothing, it jumps more than my 9 year old boys. I got this in a bundle for a HTPC. It came with AMD A8 5600k Trinity. This motherboard hates that APU. They say it supports it. But MSI says it does not.

Other Thoughts: Be careful before you purchase anything. Read, Read, and Read about the product you intend to buy. Good Luck

5 out of 5 eggsi like "MSI"

Pros: this board handles "A10 7850K" processor with no problem... i put this processor in a different brand named board that continuously ran very high temps... the "MSI" board runs the same processor 20 degrees cooler... that's with stardard cooling... so... for you guys that are running around buying water coolers and such...
"before you buy... give "MSI" a try"...

Cons: none...

Other Thoughts: i have had only one "MSI" board that failed... (1 out of 8)... and that was purely my fault... and i'll just this about that... be very careful when fooling around with bios update... and that holds true w/most motherboards...

4 out of 5 eggsGreat HTPC or home server board

Pros: Great little board for an inexpensive HTPC, light duty machine, or server build. Has all the display ports and USB 2.0/3.0 options one should need. Stable.

Cons: None really. It suited my needs for two separate builds.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat budget gamer board

Pros: easy to install and set up with click bios. Athlon x4 860k worked right out of box on board.

Cons: potentially weak connector for audio block was not firmly in place still works well but beware

3 out of 5 eggsOk for Budget build

Pros: Cheap, Good for making a portable desktop

Cons: only 2 slots for RAM

Other Thoughts: Do Not update the BIOS, I updated them using "MSI Live Update 6" (MSI's own update tool) and it failed half way through and I had to pay to ship it in for repair and was without a motherboard for over a week. When on the phone with tech support they said that it almost always crashes and you have to send it in, and they recomend not updating BIOS.

1 out of 5 eggsAvoid this board!!!!

Pros: None - DOA

Cons: If II had read the many other reviews of problems with this product, I would never have bought it. It was cheap, but all it's good for is a paperweight.

Other Thoughts: I have built quite a few systems, but this is the first completely dead MB I run into, and after reading other reviews its no surprise - DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!

1 out of 5 eggsUpdate

Pros: Nothing to say...

Cons: Still a bad compatible issue between the CPU and this motherboard that MSI has completely FAILED to update their lists still experience horrible disgusting reboots without any warning, event viewer is useless tried all operating system, swapped the heck out of parts, components POWER SUPPLIES!? nothing! worthless!

Other Thoughts: Even after I got a replacement its still doing the same issue it did since day one, I am never buying MSI, and never buying from this place since I came to realize that because it has no onboard video support its a horrible combination to use an amd APU a series CPU with these disgusting useless motherboards its only gonna result and constant barrage of reboots, system failures and BSODs MSI you really outdid yourself when you regurgitated this useless model, I apologize for the Irate behavior its just I have not been able to properly ENJOY my new system since October of last year when I made the mistake of ever going for going for this particular motherboard, Should of realized when my old one started to fail horribly to just stay away from MSI.

3 out of 5 eggsNo RAID?

Pros: Great design overall for this type of board

Cons: I really needed to get RAID 1 on this board. It sales that you can, but it seems impossible. There is nothing on documentation, could not find it on the MSI website, or any other searching I did. Something this simple should not be that difficult

Other Thoughts: For RAID I have never had trouble or difficulties doing this with Gigabyte. Will probably stick with them in the future.
