A full featured motherboard with plenty of power, the Asus M2N4-SLI is great motherboard for anyone needing to replace or upgrade their system. Equipped with an AMD socket AM2, suitable for Athlon 64 processors, including the X2 and FX series, the M2N4-SLI is more than capable of handling anything you may want to run.

Using the Nvidia nForce 4 SLI chipset, this remarkable card supports SLI Technology which gives you the ability to use 2 graphics cards together for even more graphics power. With all this going on, things could heat up rapidly, but ASUS has really studied the issue of heat and cooling across the motherboard and CPU. Passive heat sinks and a strategic board layout will help you keep cool in the hottest action.

It also includes a gigabit Ethernet port, 5.1 channel onboard sound, and 4 SATA ports. Those four ports let you add multiple hard drives to the system, managed by RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 5, and JBOD. It also has multiple expansion slots to use, including two x16, and two x1 PCIe slots, plus an additional two PCI slots. Build a powerful system, the Asus M2N4-SLI is a foundation.

  • newegg SATA II with RAID Support The second generation SATA interface delivers up to 300MB/sec transfer speed, doubling that of the first generation Serial ATA. Four SATA II ports support RAID 0, 1, 0+1, 5 and JBOD array for better performance, enhanced data security, and flexible capacity upgrades.
  • newegg NVIDIA Native Gigabit Ethernet The industry's fastest Gigabit Ethernet performance eliminates network bottlenecks and improves overall system efficiency with FirstPacket technology for lower latency and TCP/IP acceleration for system performance optimization by offloading CPU-intensive packet filtering tasks to hardware.

5 out of 5 eggsAsus M2n4-SLI still going strong!

Pros: Outdated tech, but I still have an AMD Athlon x2-6000 running on this board and it runs great! SLI was great back when I had 2 Nvidia 7600GS cards in it. Now it has an old ATI 4850 and it can run most modern games up until the latest ones that run only on DX11 or Mantle.

Cons: It's old, I bought it in February 2007. No complaints, it has always performed well.

Other Thoughts: I just wanted to brag this thing is still running great, even have Windows 8.1 running on this system (bought it during the cheap upgrade period). It was my first of several ASUS mobos that have run great.

4 out of 5 eggsOk board

Pros: Very stable. I have had this board for a while and I have not noticed any problems with it.

Cons: Cannot overclock very well, if your into that. The onbaord audio is useless and only 8x speed in SLI. But you get what you pay for

Other Thoughts: I bought this board when I needed to upgrade and did not have alot of cash. This is still a good baord would buy again if I needed to.

4 out of 5 eggsIt works.

Pros: Nothing has gone wrong with this board. It simply works.

Cons: You can't overclock at all with this board. The option to change voltages isn't available

Other Thoughts: Don't get this board if you want to overclock. If you need a stable motherboard that works like its supposed to then get it.

3 out of 5 eggsEh

Pros: You get what you pay for

Cons: Board shipped with two bad memory channels - not impressive

Other Thoughts: I ended up going out and buying the M2N32SLI-Deluxe from a local retailer instead. IMO, it's a better mobo and worth the extra cash.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Motherboard

Pros: Decided on this board when I was building my 2nd home built computer. It has SLI capabilities and the CPU socket supports duel core processers, both of which I wanted. My computer worked great at the first boot up. I havent had a problem with it for the 7 monthes I've been using it.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Works fine with Vista as well

5 out of 5 eggsREAD THE TRUTH!!!

Pros: This is what it is:

Very stable (even after my wife banged up my computer with the hammer it still works great)
What do you want me to do! she's stronger than i am... :(
All right i'll get over it.

Motherboard is very stable and has many features. Very rear package indeed.
SATA Raid 5,
Sli,
Dual Core,
Raid 1 PATA,
two PATA connectors,
ASUS!

Cons: One problem. It gets super hot if you overclock!!!

You simply can't overclock this motherboard.

If you don't overclock this is a great package for a very low price!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Deal!

Pros: Put this board in and connected everything and it powered up perfectly! Recognised all components and add on cards first time! Bought it when it was $86.99 but would buy it again! If you want a good board with little or no hassels this is it!

Cons: Lay out was a little strange, but all cables esaly reached where they needed to go.

Other Thoughts: PWD SUP 500W Lian Li; M2N4-SLI MB; AMD Athlon 64X2 4800+ 2.5 cpu; A-Data 2gb (2x1gb) ram kit (1.8v); EVGA GF 8600GTS graphics card.
