Still Going

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Had this board for a year now. No problems. hdmi works great. I'm writing this because I recently upgraded the processor from a 4000+ to a 6000+. I was leary about a jump that big and whether or not the board could support it. It can. A huge leap in performance. This was a media pc turned gaming machine with the addition of the new processor and a radeon 4870. No complaints. From the reviews, many of the others also built their systems around low powered processors. Just wanted to make mention for anyone considering an upgrade to amd's fastest, the board WILL support it. Also, when I had the 4000+ in place, I used the arctic cooling alpine 64 heatsink ($12 when i bought it, now $15?) and temps never went above 45c. Best money i ever spent for a cooler, kind of... Now with the 6000+, I'm using the thermalright ultra 120 extreme (6 heatpipes not 4). Yes, it is huge and pricey but temps have yet to reach 40c and its cooling passively. Doesnt get much quieter than that. A cooler that works
Cons: The Thermalright 120 extreme was not available @ new egg.

Very solid board

Pros: The raid capability is good, everything worked great. Ease of installation and driver install.
Cons: Onboard video is the only weak point.
Other Thoughts: Would highly recommend this board. Have built almost a dozen computers using this board with no troubles at all. On Vista, with the components I use, everything scores over a 5 (the lowest is the AMD x2 64 5000+ processor at 5.2) except the video. The video scores a 3.3, but hey, it is onboard video. I have built computers using both the Raid 1 and non-raid configuration with no problems.

OK board...

Tech Level Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: Nice layout, easy setup, solid job by ASUS as usual.
Cons: The LAN port doesn't work. Going to have to RMA and deal with having no computer for the month it will take to get a new one out here, that blows.
Other Thoughts: All-in-all this is a good board. Nothing mind-blowing but for the money this is a good little board, would make a great mobo for a HTPC setup.
