5 out of 5 eggsExcellent!!

Pros: Fast, good layout, and best of all RELIABLE

Cons: Wish I could put in more than 4gig DDR3, but otherwise no cons.

Other Thoughts: I've been running this board hard for 2 years now doing development and design, and I have NEVER had an issue with it. It is fast and easy to work on too. This one replaced an ASRock board which was terrible and had lots of problems. I am very very happy with this Asus board and will continue to buy Asus from now on.

Pros: pros for te price you can t find a motherboard to match it and it runs fairly well

Cons: when i got the pc it ran perfect until i tried to change my ddr3 to 1333 it would just lock up at windows load screen i would set it back to auto a nd it would boot fine
after some fiddle faddleing i found out what was wrong something with the bios mess's up when you lose total power clear the cmos and you can run at any freq you want

5 out of 5 eggsAsus Top Quality M0B0...

Pros: Everything that has been and continuous to be advertised about this specific Asus M0B0 is a Pro. I am 100% satisfied with this M0B0, and have no regrets buying it. I would buy another Asus product again. DDR3 for RAM upgrade and speed. Will grab this in the future. A flawless custom build with this M0B0. POST immediately after I hit the power on button for the first time. No Issues, No Hang-ups!

Cons: I cannot think of one as every specific component that I hand selected fits perfectly. A dream come true for builders right of the bat. If you research, research, research before you start buying individual parts you will be good to go the first time around.

Other Thoughts: This is my new build specs: This M0B0, Q6600, Artic Freezer 7 Pro Heatsink/Fan, Seagate Barricuda 7200.11 500GB, nVidia 9800 GTX Black Edition, HEC Zephyr 750W Double Rail Dual Fan, Raidmax Aztec Mid-size case, 2 GiGs Ballistix Crucial RAM @ PC2-5300 667Mhz. I bought this M0B0 on 04-01-08, and did not power on until 08-11-08. I had and still have confidence in Asus, and Newegg. All components on this M0B0 hit it off the first time they met, and play so nice with each other.

4 out of 5 eggsno problems at all

Pros: Was kinda weary about getting this board after all the neg reviews but was looking for a reasonably priced board with ddr3 support. Haven't had a problem with it at all for the past 3 month. Boots up every time with bios v1105. Fast and runs cool.

Cons: Raid doesn't work without external hd. Who the heck keeps one of those around. Ide is kinda worthless but my system is sata everything so no biggie. Wouldn't recommend crossfire on this board due to only one 16x pci-e slot.

Other Thoughts: ppl have been having probs with getting there ddr2 ram to 1066 so maybe not the right board for you if you have ddr2. Got my ddr3 to 1333 so works well for me.

2 out of 5 eggsASUS P5KC

Pros: None

Cons: I purchased the PK5C. It seemed to work fine until one of the SATA cable holders came off the board. I got an RMA and I have subsequently had 3 more RMA's and one more pending. RMA's 2 and 3 were the result of a short in the board. The next two RMA's were the result of the BIOS update which corrupts my operating system. This is a board that is not worth a plug nickel...

Other Thoughts: With the trouble I've had with ASUS with this board, I will never purchase another ASUS MOBO. I wouldn't recommend the P5KC to anyone.

1 out of 5 eggsAsus P5kc

Pros: Has nice features. ddr2/ddr3 support

Cons: Has a very unstable memory controller. Boots sucessfully half the time. This is a common problem. Asus hasn't published any updates in the last 6 months and the issues persist. DDR2 1066 support is a joke.

Other Thoughts: Luckily, Newegg was very understanding and was able to refund the board after having it for 9 months.

5 out of 5 eggsSimple, powerful motherboard

Pros: Motherboard worked great, first startup! I'm using it with an Intel Q9300 and OCZ DDR2-1000 memory. BIOS did NOT need upgrade before recognizing the quad core CPU...everything was fine from the get-go.

Cons: Like mentioned before, the IDE connector is very far away from where the top of the case is, although thankfully, I'm using all SATA devices (hard drive and DVD drive).

Other Thoughts: I kinda wish this motherboard could control voltage for the memory, but no biggie. Overall, it was easy to install, easy to setup.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for the price

Pros: Working fine, installed an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield and it's working fine thus far. Not bad for the price.

Cons: It was mentioned before about the IDE hookup, it is way too far from the slots on most cases. My hard drives are SATA but my DVD burners are not, I have two but had to nix the older one, only DVD+R, for the multi-dual layer so it is not that big of a deal, but the cables provided by ASUS, although longer than the ones I had, could be longer.

Other Thoughts: I had an audio issue in which the drivers would not install due to an error(OS Winxp), I am not going to mention the workaround because it was posted by "Bill" on "6/27/08" under "other thoughts." It was extremely helpful since I did not find any detailed instructions at the ASUS or microsoft websites.

4 out of 5 eggsSweet mb

Pros: Love all the features, Crossfire is sweet, nice price, fast, durable, processor core2duo 2.53 overclocked to 3.6 ghz stable, cool. supports my ide hardrive :)

Cons: didnt recognize my hardrive idk if it was plugged in in wrong spot but ima try to switch the cables around this time , bios a little difficult to upgrade.

Other Thoughts: Asus P5KC mb, Core2duo 3.6ghz 3mb, 4gb of ddr2 crossfire memory (4X1gb) , ide ata100 hd, arti radeon x1650 pro 512mb crossfire gc =D
