RedNeckSasquatch
- Pros: EVERYTHING. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. IN AND FOR EVERYTHING I DO WITH IT I AM EXCEPTIONALLY HAPPY
- Cons: I see some negative reviewers and i see that asus is one of the biggest and the best out there this is my best build so far. so remember for every few thousand built there will always be some bad ones.
- Other Thoughts: Love it and love newegg for making it all possible.
Excellent Motherboard
- Pros: I first had hard drive IDE problems with this board and then I flashed the bios. It somehow fixed all my problems and runs stable now. Bought this to replace my Intel 975XBX2, that board killed my ram and burned out its own dimm slots. If anyone is watercooling it comes with 1/4" to 7/16" conversion tubes for the block chipset. I have my system watercooled E6600, 4GB Super Talent D9GMH, Apogee GTX, VGA MCR-60, MCP-655 Pump, Swiftech Micro-Res, Black Ice GTX 480, HIS X1950XTX, Lian Li Full Tower Case
- Cons: Don't install AI software from ASUS. Only install the LAN drivers and audio drivers. AI messes up my keyboard in Windows Vista 32-64 Bit. After installing AI it makes my USB keyboard not respond anymore. After I uninstalled AI, my keyboard works again.
- Other Thoughts: Don't buy this board if you don't know how to tweak it. It has so many commands in the bios for overlocking that if you have no knowlege of OC'ing you're better off not buying it.
New and Shinny.
- Pros: Latest x39 chip support PCIe 2 crossfire(good thing Intel still support the underdog). Very overclockable.
- Cons: Expensive. Current Vid card cannot max out the bandwidth of older PCIe 1.1 why care about 2? Does not support SLI.
- Other Thoughts: Good board for crossfire PCIe 2 junky. IF you have a p35 board and don't plan to crossfire anytime soon then stay that way. Is 300$ upgrade worth the 5-10% performance? It's your call, but my call is a little late.
