AWSOME motherboard

Pros: so far i have not had any problems with this board...used an e2180 and a q6600 without problems...no CPU voltage adjustments, but that wont stop you from overclocking the e2180 from 800FSB-1066FSB running at 2.66 Guaranteed (it's possible to go to 3ghz if you want but then you have to adjust the ram speed and timings) q6600 was an easy overclock from 1066FSB-1333FSB going from 2.4-3.0GHZ...though now i probably should have gotten the q6700 so that it would be running at 3.35GHZ....these area all safe overclocks mind you...

Cons: Newegg is outta stock!!!! and I need another board!!!!!!

Other Thoughts: to the guy below....The latest bios is now stable!!
P5N-MX BIOS version 0701 DATE: 2008/09/10
Very rarely i would get a lockup with the Q6600 (complete freeze....After updating to the latest bios everything is completely stable! ROCK SOLID!

YOU DON'T NEED MORE THAN 2GB OF RAM IN VISTA! unless you have memory intensive programs...As long as you have a quad core and a raptor drive you will be set...i saw no noticeable gain in performance going from 2gb to 4gb....at least from the feel test! I think on any PC the bottleneck would be first the hard drive and then the CPU.....

overall GREAT budget board!

all 8000 and 9000 series nvidia cards work fine on this board.

Pros: runs fine. small board. great board for budgets and newcomers to computer building.

Cons: only one IDE. no dual channel memory, and only 2 slots for that matter.

Other Thoughts: paired this with a e7200 after my gateway went out. used the same case/hdd/opticals and had to leave one optical disconnected because there was not enough IDEs. will buy a sata hdd soon to remedy situation.

Pros: this motherboard installed and worked like a champ.

Cons: DO NOT install the latest bios from the asus website. it will KILL your mobo.
read in the forums about it

Other Thoughts: newegg rma'd this mobo and sent me another quick fast and in a hurry. HURRAY Newegg!!
