5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Motherboard

Pros: I've had this motherboard for 5 years now and it's simply awesome. Never ever a problem and I'm still sporting the best games with my R9 290, SSD only and a Q9450. I'm sure I can keep up with the mid grade I7's.

Cons: None!

5 out of 5 eggsP5K Pro Runs Fine after fixes

Pros: Very Fine board and runs great after Fixes. I experienced problems with 2 GB X 4 DDR2 memory.
I ran a bios upgrade and that fixed that problem.
I am running 8 gb now fine.
Next. It initionally kept loosing all USB ports, even on the case as well as the on the board. They just stopped functioning. I diagnosed the problem as a USB driver problem. I had a card called Buslink, a cheap PCI card with 5 USB inputs. I installed that card with the software which added the Usb 2.0 controller software that it needed. Problem disappeared. The boards USB ports now worked and so did the case USB ports.
Everything solved.

Cons: Cons, I have none. I use this board each and every day and have never seen a blue screen after the bios upgrade and the USB controller problem fix, during my first week of ownership.

Other Thoughts: I use this board with an Intel retail boxed 3.0 ghtz dual core CPU and 8 gb of memory. It flies. Highly reliable and exrtreemely dependable. I highly recommend this board, it runs cool and it is first rate. Also, I might add I run windows XP with latest upgrades installed.

5 out of 5 eggsI love it.

Pros: To all the other ppl out there that are haveing probs telling ppl not to buy it. but im sorry i have had this mb for almost a year now..and i havent had any probs. i have a e2180 overclocked to 3.5GHz runing fine. idle 29.c max 49.c with CORSAIR ValueSelect 2gb ram timed at 5-5-5-15 and a 8400gs overclocked and it all plays gta4 30+fps

Cons: well.. when you crossfire it drops the x16 down and your 2ed card runs at x4. it shares the x16..

Other Thoughts: i have never had any probs. overclocked really easy.. and i am thinking about buying a 2ed one..

2 out of 5 eggsI would avoid this motherboard

Pros: Lots of features for a low price Just loook at the details

Cons: With every bargain there comes a cost and with this one it is the motherboard itself.

I cannot boot my system without having it drained of electricity first for a few minutes (ie unplugged), otherwise the boot process hangs with the 4870 spinning at full throtle no boot no post nothing.

Other Thoughts: This system was tested with a different power supply and different RAM and it still hangs. If unplugged between usage everything boots and runs fine which means it is not the video card. This board will have to be replaced soon. Looking at a Gigabyte

4 out of 5 eggsJust may be the best buget mobo

Pros: I picked this up for my LAN Party case and it has work wonderfully. I have no complaints about it, other than i was trying to boot off a IDE drive and it would not see it, so I up grade to a Tera byte sata drive and it worked.

Cons: The IDE drive, but who uses those any more, also you can slave it and it will work in that configuration. But not as master

Other Thoughts: Buy it again no question about that!

1 out of 5 eggsNO ASUS Tech Support????

Pros: NONE SO FAR!

Cons: Bought this board a couple of months back. Purchased two ATI x1600 vid cards about a month ago to make it crossfire only to find that the board won't let it work. After trading a couple of messages and trouble shooting with ASUS tech they gave me a number to call to RMA it. Called, got an RMA and was told that I'd get an Email with the address to send it too. After week and no Email I called again and here it is another week later and I still don't have that message and still have this bad board??

Other Thoughts: If you are sure you don't need any tech support with this board then buy it. If you do expect tech support then I'd buy another brand!

THIS WILL BE MY LAST ASUS PRODUCT! NO SUPPORT = NO PURCHASE!
