Great Board!
- Pros: I have this board paired with a Phenom II 920, Zalman CPU cooler and 260GTX 216 EVGA and 4GB ADATA DDR2 Ram. This board is running like a champ. Worth the money for a new Phenom II system.
- Cons: !Important!, ensure you update the BIOS to the latest version from ASUS for AMD Phenom II to work. But no worries ASUS update software made this part a snap, I just had to put in my old AM2 CPU so I could complete the flash. Motherboard works great after that.
- Other Thoughts: * Didn't buy this from New Egg and paid way to much for this board at a local vendor, but that is what happens when you are a compulsive buyer. Sorry, New Egg to make up for disloyal conduct I purchased a PS and some DDR2 1066 from you yesterday.
- Pros: Stable board, plenty of SATA ports, over good value.
- Cons: Slow with BIOS post
- Other Thoughts: I dont know if this is an error with my board, but since it works fine otherwise i am not going to bother worrying about it, but it is quite slow to POST, when i press the power button the machine comes on, but it takes a few seconds before even the BIOS comes up and starts its POST.
EDIT 4 eggs to 1
- Pros: Worked great for a couple weeks.
- Cons: Video just stopped working. Tried multiple options including changing memory, changing to add in sound and video cards. I tried everything to make it work but to no avail.
- Other Thoughts: DO NOT SEND RMA WITHOUT TRACKING #!! ASUS will "lose" the package and you will get nothing. With a tracking # they will "lose" the package and find it when then # is given to them. Either way it gets "lost" , HHHMMM seem odd to you ?
