Forget ASUS Support. Forget it.
- Pros: Could have been a good board / experience.
- Cons: Pros: Easy setup even for average users. You need to adjust the basics in the bios (volts, timings ect...) but pretty staight forward. Flashed bios to latest 0506. Alot more adjust. than I'll figure out how to use, for extreme o.c.ing
Cons: Flashing leds on the board can't be turned off. Doesnt bother me, but may bother others if your in a dark room, have a windowed case and sitting right next to your tower.
Other Thoughts: P5E64 WS EVOLUTION,Q6600(GO)@3.6 400X9 1.4875volts. 3x250gb sata3.0 seagate raid-0, 2x2gb Mushkin DDR-3@1600, 2xHD2900PRO X-Fired, TT water cooling, 1.1Kw Tagan p.s., Vista Ultimate64. 3-D Mark06 18651

Pros: Really, if you're not really concerned about overclocking, this is best X48 DDR3 board avail
- Other Thoughts: That's it.

Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Customer, The flashing LED issue you are experiencing might be due to your hardware being defective. Please double check your hardware because the lights should not be flashing. For further support, please contact us at http://vip.asus.com/eservice/techserv.aspx and reference case number "NE427862". Best Regards, ASUS SUPPORT TEAM
Service really does mean everything: Unfortunately....
- Pros: Nice board, overall.
- Cons: I have had problems similar to the reviewer, below. And his experience with tech support engineers and RMA is EXACTLY what happened to me. Lots of promises and no delivery. I also received a used board placed with a few peanuts in a fed-ex box, period. No utility disc, no cables, absolutely nothing. Not even an anti-static bag. These people should be taken to the wood shed.
- Other Thoughts: None. I am disgusted with ASUS.

Should have waited to buy....
- Pros: Worked OK when it worked.
- Cons: Poor ASUS customer service and product quality.
- Other Thoughts: I just received my second RMA for this board. During the first return, I had to wait 3 weeks to get it back. After talking to several techs and finally determining it wasn't working properly the second time around, they agreed to swap it. (One tech was nice and told me to call him back at his extension if the proposed solutions didn't work. they didn't and I called 4 or 5 times. Each time, they said he would call me back and he never did!) The customer service agent that set up the RMA said he would, "see if they had one sitting around the warehouse" and send me that refurbished board instead of replacing it with a new board! Unacceptable! Send the refurbished board to someone who's outside of the warranty as a nice gesture, not to a customer who's not even a year into the 3 year warranty and has sent the board back once already!
