5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice

Pros: Easy install with Vista Ultimate (32 bit), E8400, Crucial Ballistix DDR2-800, Radeon HD4830, dual WD Raptor WD740ADFD in Raid 0, Antec Truepower 500, and older Lian Li PC60. I am now running at mild OC of 400MHz FSB, 3.2GHz (8x multiplier) and 1:1 FSB/Mem ratio. Sciencemark mem is over 7000MB/s. Windows Experience is all 5.9 except processor at 5.7.

Cons: When running 3d video, I get sound feedback thru the analog speaker ports. I will try disconnecting the chassis speaker.

Other Thoughts: Great system for me. I don't need nor will I ever use dual PCIe x16. It has all of the external interfaces that I really need. I now have 12 USB 2.0, 4 x Firewire, Analog and Digital audio, eSATA. It had enough legacy PCI slots for my Theater 650 TV card and extra IEEE1394a card. Motherboard headers interfaces the IEEE 1394 and USB were compatible with an old header from my A7N8X-Deluxe.

4 out of 5 eggsGood mobo for price

Pros: Works great, with a lot of overclocking option in bios. Got G Skill 1066 ram and E8500 and it all works well.

Cons: The on board sound didn't work that well with my surround sound speakers.

Other Thoughts: Good gaming mobo if your not going to do SLI or Crossfire

5 out of 5 eggsgreat mainstream board

Pros: Overclocked my q6600 g0 VID 1.275 to 3.6 (9x400) no problem. VCore is VERY steady on this board with P43 LLC 1.4 at idle and 1.424 at 100% load. VDroop is fairly nominal.
Did get Crucial Ballistix to run @ 4-4-4-12-2t DDR2800 2.2v @ 1:1 ratio one stick at a time....
Very valuable board for $100. price:options:overclockability one of the best value boards your going to find if you can live w/o XFire or SLI

Cons: 'official' memory support is very limited check it before buying this board. Hardest part about setting this board up is getting it to post off of your memory's SPD timings after a CMOS wipe, or even with more than one stick installed.
No CMOS reset button, old style jumper clear.

Other Thoughts: Board isn't as wide as 'full' standard ATX boards so be careful while installing your ram in Channels 3 and 4 to not flex the board after you have installed it into your tower.

5 out of 5 eggsI like this board

Pros: Easy build . Great over clocking board. Runs cool.

Cons: Not really a con but the way this board screws into the motherboard does not give support under the ram slots. So take care when installing ram if the board is attached to the case.

Other Thoughts: I do not use a Floppy Drive but the attachment is on the opposite far side of the board away from the floppy drive .

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Cheap Intel Board

Pros: Cheap Intel chipset, perfectly stable. Decent Overclocking options for a budget board

Cons: Had a buzz coming from the speakers until I yanked the system buzzer.
The eSata port only works if you have the external eSata device up and running before you boot up the computer.
Default Bios options make for some longer bootup times. My 150GB Raptor boots up in 1 minute on a fresh VISTA Home Premium install.

Other Thoughts: This board gets four eggs for showing up and working, but it hasn't won me over. Silly audio issues with system buzzer installed is just that, silly. That and the eSATA port seems to be tacked on like an afterthought, with no Hot-Swap capability. It's a lackluster board, but it'll get the job done.

5 out of 5 eggsHome Run for ASUS

Pros: MB does exactly what its supposed to. No BIOS problems, just plug, load, and play. Temps are great and MB has several areas to monitor temps. Solid design. Built this comp for World Of Warcraft. Now I'm getting 62-102fps on all high settings!!

Cons: No Problems at all. Plug, load, and play.

Other Thoughts: ASUS P5QL-E, Q6600, 4G Corsair Mem, ASUS 4850 512MB, PC Power and Cooling 610w.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat price for features

Pros: Amazing ability to overclock just about anything. Its selection is wide open and will handle fairly high settings even on stock settings in an antec 300 case. ASUS's third-party software can control all the voltage settings for you or you can do it in the bios.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggs$100+ Well Spent

Pros: The board is wonderful for the price. There are plenty of options, all the connectivity I could need and I LOVE the Express Gate. Updated to the BIOS and was good to go.
The owner's manual is very comprehensive and easy to understand

Cons: Only problem I had is the placement of the P4 connector (probably just my PSU) Bought an M/F extension, problem solved

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this to anyone looking for a decent Intel board and on a budget. I think it's a perfect first-time build mobo. Powerful enough to feel good about it, and cheap enough to not feel too bad if you fry it.
