5 out of 5 eggs2013 and it's still going strong!

Pros: This has been a great MB and in 2013 is still capable of playing anything and doing it very well on high or very high settings. Liked it so much I build my son a 4770k Haswell Sabertooth and I'm looking into the 2011 Rampage IV Extreme Black Edition with and Ivy-E in it.

Cons: Support for this and all MB's is rather short for products that last beyond 5 years. Needs to have support for upto 10 years as it seems my computers can last that long.
Abit IC7max3 still going strong 12 years later, won't die!

Other Thoughts: ASUS and all MB manufacturers need to support their products with updates for 10 years, bios, sound, etc drivers.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: Top of the line Overclocker

Full Speed PCI EXPRESS SLOTS for CROSSFIRE OR CROSSFIRE X

Supports DDR3

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I didn't buy it on Newegg, but I would recommend to anyone with a Socket 775 processor. I was able to take my processor a Q9550 to 4.00GHz with a TRUE 120 EXTREME. It truly is a great board. I have tested higher but the temps where to high.

The memory I'm using is of Corsair Dominator GT stock.

5 out of 5 eggsNot for novice computer builders

Pros: This is not your fathers motherboard unless your father is really into powerful gaming systems. The Rampage extreme has taken overclocking to the next level. There are both hardware and software ways to crank up the voltage. The install was almost flawless. The driver disk has an out of date power management driver but a three second download took care of that. The reason I say that this is not for novice computer builders is that it was designed for overclocking and many novices think that they can go beyond the envelope and you can seriously dammage some hardware if you go too far. The board has high quality sound and all the accesories you may need for adding a liquid cooling system. Pre configuration is simple with the onboard power buttons and you can set the hardware over clocking to 1 of 3 levels before you drop it into your well ventalated case. Dont get too beefy of a processor fan as the northbridge is using plenty of realestate. I only just got an Artic Cooler Freezer 7 to f

Cons: A socket 775 board that requires DDR3 Ram

5 out of 5 eggsgreat board

Pros: looks good?

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I had trouble setting up my sound card (SB XiFi XtremeGamer) because apparently I still needed to install the included Sound card that came with the motherboard. I couldn't use the microphone through the new card, just through the motherboard card. Mind you, this is only the second time I have put a computer together

5 out of 5 eggslove it

Pros: easiest board to overclock.

Cons: none so far.

Other Thoughts: if you want to learn how to overclock or dont want to set voltages then this is deffantly the 1 4 u. i knew nothing about oc'n before i bought this, if only they were all this easy to oc. asus ai suite utility does all the work, you tell it how fast to go and magic, the bios backup is great incase of a bad load, just go back and do it again. worth the 200 bucks!

4 out of 5 eggsFancy looking motherboard

Pros: It works on the first boot. The motherboard layout is okay to work with, and the color connectors make it easy to connect the cables. The whole board looks tough and made of strong materials. Also, The user guide is very good to understand.

Cons: Not all heatsink fans will work with this motherboard. The reason is there are 16 small circuit blocks surrounding the cpu, so there's no that room for even a slightly bigger or deeper cpu cooler. So, don't try to jam that thing in there or you might break the motherboard. I've tried with the Mosscool, but it is too big.

Other Thoughts: This is a first Asus board. I hope it will live up to its reputation.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent MOBO!!! Don't post a bad review with 1 Egg, if you did not even use it!!! Response 4 "PLASM"

Pros: *Read Previous Reviews!!!

Cons: *Read Previous Reviews!!!

Other Thoughts: I am Sick & Tired of people getting a product from New Egg and posting a review without even using the product.

If you must RMA for whatever reason, then RMA it and post a review after you actually used the product. ASUS makes one of the most solid MOBO's on the market. Granted sometimes you get a MOBO with a defect and must be replaced. BUT..... the majority of MOBO replacements are from system builders and Gamers that burn out the MOBOS themselves because of a stupid error on your part.

I have seen so many people burn out a piece of Hardware in their new build because they have the PSU switch set to closed, and they plug it into the wall and get a spark in the PSU.

Or the "dum-bassasses" that try to switch out or install Video Cards and Memory without unplugging the PSU and Grounding themselves.

I have RMA'd 2 MOBOS in 8 years, but never gave a review until I "ACTUALLY USED THE DAMM PRODUCT FIRST"!!! That what a review is!!!

1 out of 5 eggsDidnt even POST to beep

Pros: Board has all the bells and whistles you could imagine. Easy assembly and every thing fit nice, good layout.

Cons: As the title states, didnt even POST DOA. Spoke to Asus support 2x and their techs are extremly rude. This is my first experience with their support and never again will I subject myself to that. At no time were they even trying to keep my business. They stated "just send it back", so I did and will never purchase another Asus board again. I learn the first time and wont make the same mistake.

Other Thoughts: Newegg gets *5* eggs, returned with no problems and were very helpful, as always.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the negative experience that you had. Please let us know if you still need assistance in getting a working replacement. Please contact us at APS_support@asus.com and reference case number NE474208 so we can get your feedback and ensure that this won't happen again in the future.

Best Regards,
