Asus has long had a notable reputation within the overclocking community and their P6T Deluxe motherboard builds on that tradition. Based on Intel's X58 Express and ICH10R chipsets, this ATX board is ready to host the newest LGA1366 Core i7 processors for ultimate powerful performance.
Up to 12GB of DDR3 1333 RAM can be installed with triple channel mode for increased performance. Get even more performance – up to 1600Mhz – through overclocking. Three (count 'em: three!) PCI-Express 2.0 x16 cards can be mounted for cutting-edge graphic power with support for either NVIDIA SLI or ATI CrossFireX. 100% all high-quality conductive polymer capacitors give longer life and higher energy efficiency by supplying power to vital components independently.
Get eight channels of HD sound from the ADI AD2000B audio chipset for pure, clear audio. Connect up to six SATA drives at 3Gb/s for high-speed data transfers as well as the option for multiple RAID configurations. Integrated dual Gigabit Ethernet LAN allows bottleneck-free connections to other network devices at broadband speeds and eight USB 2.0 ports allows for nearly unlimited possibilities in connecting peripheral devices.

Great Board
- Pros: Great board. Fired up the first time no problems at all. The bios have tons of options and is very comprehensive. Had to manually adjust the memory freq. as it was showing it as 1066 instead of 1333. Board has a blue led for the RAM and a white led for the Asus logo. Manual is comprehensive and easy to understand. The early reviews where very positive so i desided to go with this one. You wont be dissapointed with this board.
- Cons: None so far.
- Other Thoughts: Didnt bought from newegg but wanted to break the ice and tell about my positive experience. Specs: Intel Core i7 920 @ 2.66GHz, Asus P6T Deluxe, 3GB G.Skill DDR3 1333, Xigmatek 750W PSU, Radeon HD 4870 1GB, Etc.
Watch your memory configuration
- Pros: Excellent storage options, abundant memory slots, very thorough documentation and tons of BIOS settings to tweak.
- Cons: Despite documentation provided with the board that specifically indicates support for dual channel configurations, this motherboard will NOT POST with less than a triple channel setup. Apparently, later BIOS updates will allow the board to post with one stick, but this was not the case with mine. Make sure to avoid trouble and stick with the triple channel memory config.
- Other Thoughts: Forgive my review if it was already widely known that triple channel was an absolute requirement.

12GB 1600 RAM no prob!
- Pros: I installed 12GB (6x2GB) of OCZ Platinum 1600mhz RAM with no problem. Booted up flawlessly, Vista recognizes it and so does CPUZ. Mind you, i'm running the RAM at 1600mhz, 9-9-9-24 timings and 1.5v as is what the bios set automatically when I chose the 1600mhz profile in AI tweaker and I have not yet played around with this.
- Cons: Manual for this board (V1) states you can only install one 1600 dimm per channel, limiting you to 6GB max of 1600...incorrect.
- Other Thoughts: I have a very early version of this board and have had no problems with it yet.
Great MotherBoard
- Pros: I have had no major problems with this motherboard. I have had it since the i7 has come out and it has been rock solid. I have even managed to get my i7 to 4.1 Ghz on it. SLI and Crossfire on one board is also really nice.
- Cons: The way the pci-e slots is set up is a little funky but I knew that going in.
It was pretty awesome
- Pros: This motherboard was awesome and packed full of features. Sweet overclockablity, on board power button (which I ended up using a whole lot), asus express gate... loved it
- Cons: And then it stopped working. One day while idling it turned off. I could get it to turn on after that, but it would surge on and off about 6 or 7 times before turning on, and then the USB ports stopped working... no more mouse for me. Went through hours of troubleshooting before evidence showed that it was the motherboard.
- Other Thoughts: I'm a little disappointed in Asus, they have been falling off in the past few years. I see that there is a V2 of this board now which is probably what i'm going to get fro my RMA. Not looking forward to havin no computer while I wait for the RMA shipping. If they have any care for their customers, they will cross-ship me a new one.
