4 out of 5 eggsGood board, Trouble free.

Pros: This has been a trouble free board. Easy set up, plenty of different connections as its introduction is in the middle of us gong from ide to sata drives, so it has connections for both.
Video works great that is on the board. Smal foot prnt n a full size tower gives me lots of room with plenty of room for all the wires on the Corsair 750 watt PS. I've been running this board for 2 years, 18 hours per day every day. Never a problem with it. I've had other Asus boards that have been problems but not this model. Good buy.

Cons: My only gripe would be the lack of more stata ports. this one only has 2 of them on board. More would be better for sure, but with the ide connection on board also it lets me mix the old with the new pretty easy.

2 out of 5 eggsBeware

Pros: Cheap

Cons: I bought 2 of these boards for budget family builds. When running dual core processors they seem to work fine. I recently upgraded one to AthlonII X4-620 and the other to an X4-630 and that's when the problems began. Basically what happens is when any program calls for 100% CPU power the voltage to the CPU drops from 1.4v to 1.2v or less. The multiplier drops from 13x(14x on the 630) to 4x and the speed drops from 2.6 GHz(2.8 0n the 630) to 900MGz. I have 2 boards with 2 different chips and they both do the same thing. All the power saving options in the bios have been disabled. I even tried a third chip from another build, same problem. I have notified Asus and sent them the specs and the and a detailed report of the problem. Waiting to see what their response will be. Until then, if you plan on running an AM3 quad on this board, I would look somewhere else.

4 out of 5 eggsAffordable

Pros: This was a great price. The board has been very stable and no issues on a clean install of Win 7 x 64.

Cons: WARNING: Only 2 sata ports an no IDE!

4 out of 5 eggsNice Board

Pros: Nice board. Layout is good and easy to get it installed.

Cons: The only problem I had with this board, was that it didn't like my cpu, even though it was in the list of cpus from manufacture. Though it just takes a bios update, just a pain.

2 out of 5 eggsGood........ But no Sound

Pros: Very good overall board, easy to install........

Cons: Not sound after installation. tried everything but no cigar. Tried drivers from ASUS but still no sound...tried drivers from MS but no sound either. Do not what to do... I will try a new clean installation but if it does not work.. good bye ASUS... I will never use this brand anymore.

Other Thoughts: I never used ASUS MB's before until my last two builds, the Intel one no problems so far, but the AMD very bad experience which by the way seems to be very often to many people.

5 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: So far everything seems to be running as it should be, I have never used a Asus mobo. Mostly I have used Biostar and I was looking for a cheaper build but with the same quality as biostar. So far seems to be the ticket with Asus.

Cons: none as of yet

Other Thoughts: This board went in a custom I built for my wife, not a con but only problem I had was the board was a lil tricky getting lined up in the mobo tray in the case she had got.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty Much Perfect

Pros: Have owned this board for quite a while now, and it doesn't do too awfully bad of a job, I must say. In my opinion it's a good learner's board for over-clocking (it's cheap and over-clocking features are easy to access). Also if you're not really looking to over-clock a whole lot, but still want a little bit extra performance out of your processor, it has low-grade CPU over-clocking profiles (3%, 5%, 7%).

It's a pretty easy board as well. This is the first pc that I've ever built myself from the ground up. It took me a couple hours, and the whole thing was up without ever looking at the manual. Even when you go into the BIOS, things are pretty easy to understand.

The board's solid. I've BSOD'd only once since I've gotten it, and it was my own fault.

Everything seems spaced out nicely*

It's just a great board! I love ASUS and it's pretty much because of my experience with this board.

Buy this! It's perfect for a first build!

Cons: You'll feel like you stole from ASUS because of the value of the product.

Other Thoughts: *Cant's speak for sure about space constraints on large-diameter processor fans, as I went with a KATANA3, so space on the x and y axis wasn't an issue.

Currently using with an Athlon II X4 620, and it can handle anything I can throw at it, and for the whole project costing me a mere $250 with many of the bells and whistles, I couldn't be happier. Running Windows 7 64-bit, screen resolution 1920x1080.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than expected

Pros: Easy install. The heatsink and fan functions well. Fan is not loud. Comes with thermal paste preapplied. CPU works better than expected.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Would buy again
