5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: Great board. Had no problems setting it up in Windows 7 what-so-ever. I'm loving the 8GB of DDR3. It is very fast. One note to those of you out there having trouble installing a driver for the ethernet controller, just use the driver that's on the cd. It uses a realtek driver, not an atheros like they have on the website. That was a bit frustrating at first. I don't know why they did that.

Cons: Two things. As gb5102 has said, it seriously needs some kind of speed control for the case fan or chassis fan as they call it. It runs at full speed and is loud. I simply disconnected it temporarily and ordered a 3-pin fan speed control off **** for like $4. I could probably get away with just leaving it disconnected as it doesn't get very hot in there but what the heck. The other thing is that it doesn't have an hdmi out. Not a big issue for me as I wouldn't be using it but maybe it would be for some others.

4 out of 5 eggsNice little cute mobo

Pros: Solid board, enough ports for a Micro-ATX. And ASUS provides a anti-virus software for 90 days I guess, though I didn't use it.

Cons: I wished it had a pin connector for my card reader attachment.

5 out of 5 eggsFast, stable board

Pros: I have used about 20 of these in builds, and I have had ZERO issues.
Perfect for office machines- small, fast and very stable. Has everything a basic PC would need...

-Has both DVI and VGA monitor outputs
-uses ddr3 memory(up to 8gb)
-headers for serial and parallel ports
-polymer capacitors in hi-stress areas and hi quality Japanese electrolytics in other areas(NCC, Panasonic)
-supports Intel Virtualization Technology

Cons: Wish it had chassis fan speed control; for noisy fans, I just use a 3watt flameproof resistor inline w/ fan.
It does support CPU fan speed control, though.

Other Thoughts: I think the negative reviews of this motherboard are due mainly to user-error. People either didn't do proper research and used incompatible components, or use cheap junk components($10 power supply, EeBay generic ram...), etc

Only issue I had was due to incorrect spd data on some ddr3 modules I used(cant remember who made them, maybe Gskill), but this was not a fault of the motherboard. I just had to manually set the memory voltage, then it worked perfectly...

5 out of 5 eggsGood solid board.

Pros: DDR3, PCIe, Multitudes of internal case connectors, and many other features. Generally fast and decent for 50$. Definitely worth a buy.

Over clocking is also a nice feature.

Cons: Semi flimsy build, but doable. Also bios encounters issues when I have a USB device inserted into my case ports upon startup.

Other Thoughts: Asus has always had solid customer support.
