5 out of 5 eggsafter 5 years - not a single issue.

Pros: I have not had a single issue with this mobo purchased in 2010. Im just now looking to upgrade but on the fence because its still running strong and because based on reviews, it looks like maybe Asus had been going downhill over the years? (a lot of motherboards im considering have reviews of DOA and ASUS support lacking) it’s been running a 3.2 AMD Phenom II X6 1090T overclocked to 4.0 GHz since day one with no issues. I have never had an issue with Asus products but considering other options based on so much negative feedback.

Cons: I wish I could just slap a new AM3+ processor into this without having to fiddle around with voltage outputs, etc... but after almost 6 years I expect technology to be more advanced and any mobo to be obsolete so not really a con to take away any eggs.

5 out of 5 eggs8 years later!

Pros: Sturdy
Just works

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I'm not good at articulation but I purchased this board from Newegg back in 2008. This year I'm doing a new build to get up to date and I just realized that I never did a review for my board. Still to this day I have had absolutely no issues with my board. It's held me down for 8 years and I couldn't be happier.

If I could go back in time and build this system again I would with no changes. 10 eggs. I'll be sticking with the Crosshair brand for my next build.

2 out of 5 eggsdont do it

Pros: looks cool. ran great.

Cons: very expensive for a 3 year mobo.
Ran everything at total stock for 3 yrs/3 months and then it died.Conveniently 3 months after warranty was up.
I guess I'll be done with asus.Too many other cheaper boards
that will last twice as long.

Other Thoughts: everything u want unless u want longevity.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat AM3 gaming board

Pros: In the 4 years I've had it, it has never let me down, even while attempting to overclock my cpu and video card. I wanted stability and options, and am very pleased.

Cons: USB 3.0 isn't native. It only has 6 Sata 3 ports, wish there were more, as I have them all occupied.

Other Thoughts: I read that the north/south bridge heat sink compound wasn't very good, so I removed them, and applied my own, just to be safe. It wasn't hard at all.

2 out of 5 eggs3 years

Pros: Worked great. Was my first build.

Cons: Only lasted 3 years and then it quit. I am not a gamer so I didn't use it to OC or anything fancy like that, and it still went. The name brand computer I replaced with this one was given to a friend and it is still rolling.

Other Thoughts: Since it is no longer available, this review is moot.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board!

Pros: Great mobo, been treating me well and I've no complaints whatsoever. Just finally took advantage of the overclocking potential, and the included tuning programs are incredibly handy.

Cons: You can't get it anymore

5 out of 5 eggsStill Strong after 3 years

Pros: This board has served me through 2 memory upgrades, 3 hard drive upgrades, 4 video card upgrades, and finally; a new processor.

Kudos to both AMD and ASUS for offering a simple BIOS update to allow me to upgrade to the latest processors.

With this motherboard and FX-8350, I'm getting 5.2GHz turbo core on all 8 of my cores and my benchmarking shows me beating an i7-4770K (in certain tasks).

Cons: Not a huge con, but would have been cool.

Other Thoughts: As of this writing you can't buy these boards new, so my intent here is to illustrate the support that ASUS provides as well as the upgrade-ability that AMD puts forward. Contrast this with an Intel solution that has changed socket types 3 times in this motherboard's life.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Everything from the built in Xi-Fi to the ability to crossfire as well as the many processors it supports. I love this board. The sound software it comes with makes pairing the Razer Tiamat 7.1 ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.

Cons: No Cons as of yet.
