5 out of 5 eggsStill Running

Pros: I've had this motherboard for 4 years now and it is still running wonderfully.

Cons: None as of yet

Other Thoughts: I've always been a fan of ASUS motherboards and they have yet to let me down thus far.

4 out of 5 eggsworked great

Pros: Worked as advertised.

Cons: Some few issues with random restarts. Just recently stopped working 25 days after warranty expired.

Other Thoughts: Worked great as expected until the random restart. once i updated the bios the restart issue ws fixed. But now i got the cpu solid led. tried removing components one by one and still the same result. placed all parts in another board and it booted fine. It just so happened that my warranty expired 3/30/2014. just 25 days after warranty expired the motherboard decided to stop working.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat board

Pros: Got this for a new gaming system, as my old one is 7 years old. This thing has more than it needs, definitely worth the investment.

Cons: Bios was a bit tricky to upgrade, but got it done.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it!

Pros: I've had this board since March, 2011. No BSODS. Boots every time. Very reliable, even with moderate tinkering.

Cons: No onboard USB 3.0 ports, but that technology was just coming to market.

3 out of 5 eggsPay attention To Features

Pros: Not that I know of at that time. Had to RMA. Look at Cons

Cons: Had to RMA because the features didn't take AMD FX processors. This was neither ones fault because Newegg didn't mention on features that this is not compatable with FX processors nor did the FX processor say anything that wasn't compatable with other AMD+ motherboards.

Other Thoughts: I docked eggs off the fact that N.E couldn't simply add down that this was not compatable with other TYPE of AMD+ processors (FX Series)

5 out of 5 eggsPERFECT for 1 1/2 years so far!

Pros: overclocks like a charm! runs 1gb to 16gb of ram no problem. Ran 1066, 1333, 1666 ram just fine. updated the bios several times with no problems.
clocked northbridge above 1.36 no problem. overclocked 1090T to 4.424 ghz with ease! overclocked ram... again no problems.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I don't understand these bad reviews others have had. unless they had a bad batch. I own several types of ASUS mb. all work great. this one is my favorite so far!

1 out of 5 eggsNice while it lasted

Pros: Was a nice board when it was working.

Cons: Like another reviewer, I started having video crashes when I connected USB devices to ports on the internal headers. Now the board is useless - Windows crashes with a different blue screen error every time. Even tried testing using a Linux CD and ran me test - ran clean until the system froze up.

Other Thoughts: Had been thinking about getting another Asus board until I started reading other reviews here describing my same problem. It is still under warranty, but from the sound of it I may not have much luck with it.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the issue you had with the motherboard.

Please make sure that the front panel USB connector is connected to the USB headers on the motherboard. Since the board has other onboard USB connectors, can you try these ports as well.

In addition, please try loading the default BIOS values, run a stability test, and run a memtest for at least 7-8 passes. If your system does not freeze or reboot, it means either an incorrect hardware setting was used or a component was operating out of specifications than what it was designed for. If you're overclocking, try returning to default speeds. Also, try updating to the latest version of BIOS.

If you system BSOD, you should have a .dump file in your C:\Windows\minidump folder with a timestamp of the BSOD as the file name. You can use a .dump file viewer such as BlueScreenView to analyze these files. It will tell you what file or hardware led to the crash.

1 out of 5 eggsBad product, even worse company.

Pros: I have nothing nice to say about this board or company.

Cons: This board lasted me approximately 6 months.

The board blew out a trace and during the RMA process, they decided it was user error on installing ram or the CPU brackets. Funny part is the trace is on the back of the board. The computer was in use during the blowout, in a closed PC case.... I can say with 100% certainty that this was not a user error.

Other Thoughts: "ASUS guarantees that the product you have purchased is free from defects in materials or workmanship under normal use during the Limited Warranty Period."

I took electrical engineering yet despite that, I can't convince your company that it is the board at fault. I managed to convince a phone tech to say he finds me completely right but the company will not change it's stance since a manager he consulted in California said no within hearing 20 seconds of my case.

I apologize if you don't find my review of this board suitable but it is mostly focused on how Asus can hide behind their warranty coverage these days, even when they're at fault. They won't even listen to you.

If you want a product with a company that will stand by what they make, Asus is no longer it.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Didn't get this far.

Cons: Blew out immediately, had to RMA.

Other Thoughts: Ran for about ten minutes before it blew and would no longer boot up. Replaced with a similar board from a different manufacturer and have had no problems since. I've gotten some great products from ASUS, but this wasn't one of them.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

Sorry to hear about the issues. Please contact us at stating all parts used together with a description of what happened, and we will look into this for you.
