1 out of 5 eggsReplacing after 5 months.

Pros: Cheap, good bios.

Cons: Only having one pcie slot leaves no room for graphical upgrades. No usb 3.0. No integrated graphics.

Other Thoughts: Honestly, spend a bit more money on a mobo that you wont need to replace and has everything you need for future upgrades. 40 extra dollars is worth it. Dont go cheap on a mobo.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

Sorry to hear about your experience. However, one should note that it is up to the consumer to understand what their needs are before making a purchase. All IO ports are specified in the product pages for this board, so if you don't find what you are looking for by all means seek out another model rather than just buying a product and finding out it does not meet your future needs.

1 out of 5 eggsdisappointed

Pros: price

Cons: i bought this MB from newegg sold as a package deal along with AMD FX-6100 Zambezi 3.3GHz Socket AM3+ 95W Six-Core Desktop Processor FD6100WMGUSBX....nothing would work....got no help from tech support....after much wasted time i discovered they are not even compatible...ordering the SABERTOOTH 990FX AM3+.....this is not really an indication of the products quality but a real let-down in newegg support and knowledge of the products they sell

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

Sorry to hear about the issues. It's always worth checking out the ASUS product pages before launch; you can navigate to the CPU support list tab to find out which processors the board supports.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad for a budget build.

Pros: 3 year warranty, good specs and good quality.

Cons: Only requires 6 screws to mount it into the case. You have to be very careful when plugging in the 20+4 pin connector. Once everything is plugged into it. Having more holes to mount the board would be a plus.

4 out of 5 eggsno s/pdif coax - only header

Pros: Well-designed board layout. Sufficient expansion. 4 DDR3 RAM slots. Easy ASUS tools for monitoring and overclocking.

Cons: Board has a header for s/pdif but no coax or optical port. Must purchase an additional expansion card to utilize digital audio out.

Other Thoughts: Overall a very capable board in this price range

2 out of 5 eggsNot thrilled

Pros: Bought two of these boards for builds. One has a Phenom II X4 955 on it, the other, a 975 on it.

Cons: Both boards were working fine initially. Today I powered up one of the computers and the motherboard posted that it had terminated startup due to a surge protection circuit on the board. Seems it claims my power supply is unstable. Bull. I tried three different power supplies from three different manufactures and reset the bios each time. Same thing with all three. Supposedly a voltage issue with the 12v side. I'm not stupid, I've been building computers since the Commodore 64 years.

I'm not buying into the fact that all three ps's are bad. Tested on other systems, and fine. I suspect I have a bios issue on the surge protection side. Or bad board.

Real nice that I have to now try to get the processor off the board without damaging it. AMD makes it almost impossible to get the heat sink off the chip. :( I'm not thrilled that I now have to pay shipping back to Newegg on this board after giving them almost $1,000 dollars for just one build.

Other Thoughts: Built two of these computers. Not cheap. I may reconsider buying ASUS on my next build. Although they are all pretty much the same anymore when it comes to 2nd rate quality. That's what we get when we outsource.
