5 out of 5 eggsGreat board for the price!

Pros: Feature packed board for an entry level price! Easy overclocking and core unlocking as well as easy to navigate BIOS.

Cons: None to be found!

Other Thoughts: I'd buy this again for another phenom build! The board works great and operates as expected.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy (for the time I used it)

Pros: Supported my FX4100 right out of the box. Ran great with CPU, RAM, GPU, 2 1TB HDD, 1 80GB - 1 120GB SSD running Win 7 Pro.

Cons: No USB 3.0 support. Only two DIMMs for memory. Not SATA III capable.

1 out of 5 eggsAwful

Pros: Cheap.

Cons: Dead PCI-E slot.
Dead RAM DIM.
Only 8GB RAM max.
No USB 3.0 or SATA 6Gb/s

Other Thoughts: Terrible support (from ASUS). ASUS took 25 days to issue me an RMA number. They do not have the board in stock and my only option is to have my board repaired. They would not replace my board for a comparable AM3+ model and even though it took 25 days to receive my RMA number they will not send me a pre-paid shipping label. This is the second bad board I've received. I bought to use building a computer for a friend. I bought another board ages ago because the support is so awful.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

Sorry to hear about the issues. Please contact us at Newegg_ASUS_MBSupport@asus.com stating all RMA case numbers and we will look into this for you.

1 out of 5 eggsSave your time

Pros: Cheap. Can run FX chips. (Didn't have to update bios for my FX 6100)

Cons: I've had nothing but problems with this board. The first attempt at a build with this would boot and seem fine, but would inevitably crash no matter what I did. Checked temps, tested components, switched in known good components, updated bios and drivers; still kept crashing even though I would let it sit idle. A second attempt at a build seemed like it was going well, until I started getting the same bluescreens with completely different components.

Other Thoughts: I've built many stable computers, none have ever come close to having as many problems as I've had with this mobo. Save your time - get a better mobo.

1 out of 5 eggsProblem

Pros: CHEAP

Cons: Has anyone had a problem with it slowing down after 8 gigs of memory installed

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

Sorry to hear about the issues. Please contact us at Newegg_ASUS_MBSupport@asus.com stating what kind of slow downs you are experiencing. When using 4 DIMMs or higher module density, some of the memory timings may need to be relaxed, however the impact of this is generally only a marginal difference in synthetic benchmarks that are memory intensive.

5 out of 5 eggsRuns Like a Champ!

Pros: I was very worried about buying this Motherboard because nearly half of the reviews were people saying their board was "DOA" or "Isnt worth the money"

Ive received the board and installed it with an FX-6100 CPU right out of the box with No BIOS update needed, and its worked fantastically.

Cons: Refuses to take out the Trash.

Other Thoughts: I may have just been one of the "Lucky Ones" who got a good board... but Id say it was Definitely worth buying, especially for the price!

DONT BE SCARED OFF BY THE BAD REVIEWS.... What is the worst that could happen? You get a DOA, Send it back for a replacement and odds are you will end up as happy as i am with it!

1 out of 5 eggsAdvertised combo for FX8120

Pros: Not many

Cons: Although it will run the fx8120 it does it very poorly and you cant overclock at all before it throttles it. Its just not made for it.

Other Thoughts: Dont buy this if you are going to use the 8120 processor.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

The power consumption of the FX series CPUs goes up substantially when they are overclocked. This board works fine for those who wish to run a stock system (which many do).

1 out of 5 eggsNext time...

Pros: Cheap, AM3+

Cons: DOA

Other Thoughts: I thought I was one of the lucky ones that got this with a proper BIOS version. Its labeled on the board version 402 which by the ASUS website should be good enough for my new FX 4100..... Very disappointed.

Do yourself a favor and don't skimp on the mobo. My lesson is learned, Will steer clear of ASUS from now on too.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Budget Board

Pros: I bought this actually from another seller, and was very pleased with it, runs all my games very well, and was very easy to set up/ install (sort of).

Cons: When i went to plug in the PWR, and all that from the case, i was going off of the Manual that came with it, well after several attempts to use the manual, i thought my board was DOA, then i noticed if you look on the board, it tells you where everything goes. so after going with the MB, instead of the Manual, it started right up with no problems, i deducted 1 egg because of the manual being wrong

Other Thoughts: Allot of people say this was DOA, well try going off the Board, instead of the manual... freind had the same problem as many others have had, and after going off the Board, it started right up. (like i said again, -1 egg for Manual being wrong) besides that, Very good board on a budget
