5 out of 5 eggsstill strong

Pros: has what any ethosist need to have a ture gaming set up.

Cons: i dont know if its the cpu or the motherboard but everytime i install new i get BSOD just once and never again, not sure why the blue screen review tells me that it is a windows dirver thats the problem but i look that up and found that drive acts up when hardware is changed or installed
Blue tooth thing is just a decoy just looks like it had one but is just there for decoration.

Other Thoughts: what i want no PS/2 ports
no uneeded or unused out puts of any kind
all of the next gen should fallow this format.

4 out of 5 eggsNice board

Pros: Easy to use. Has lots of features.

Cons: Very easy to overclock, but the motherboard ends up doing a double reboot when overclocked. Kind of sucks, but still works great.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality ASUS board for a good price

Pros: - USB 3.0 and Bluetooth!
- SLI/Crossfire support (8 out of 16 PCI lanes will provide plenty of bandwidth for your cards)
- 1600mhz memory clock without an OC!
- Looks nice
- 8 channel audio & optical output!
- EFI BIOS and ASUS utilities are fantastic. More great software from ASUS.

Cons: - NONE.. As long as it doesn't die on me.

Other Thoughts: - Could use a few more SATA ports
- no pci-e 3.0

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board

Pros: Packed full of features. UEFI BIOS is easy to use and has all the features an enthusiast could ask for. Running an i5 2500k @ 4.5ghz on it without issues.

Plenty of clearance around the socket for aftermarket HSF.

Cons: The USB ports are packed extremely close together near the top of the panel, so if you've got a device that has a bit of bulk to it you'll want an extension for it.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid board

Pros: This is an excellent motherboard. The UEFI BIOS is really great, something that all boards should have in this day and age. Overclocking is simple and very effective. Running this board with an i5-2500K at 4.3GHz on stock heatsink, no trouble. Crossfire with my HD4890 and HD4850 works great.

Cons: None. Absolutely zero issues.

Other Thoughts: BIOS takes a few seconds longer to initialize than I'm used to. Not a big deal. This board works well as a hackintosh board for those of you who care. OS X 10.7.3 runs flawlessly if you set it up properly.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Mobo

Pros: has all the bells and whistles the more expensive mobos have and met all my requirements. Also the black and blue board matched the rest of of my components and case (yeah I know black case, blue lights is old school, but I find it relaxing when in a dark room).

Cons: None, I could have gone with the Pro Version, but this one met my needs.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board, Bad Software

Pros: A great board with top notch features. Pairs perfect with the i5-2500k. Great overclocking potential, and nice features built in. The UFEI is incredibly nice to work with. If you are thinking about a cheaper option, like the P8Z68-V LE or LX; try to find room in your budget to upgrade to this mobo. The combo of superior features and higher-quality parts is totally worth the extra $40. And if you're thinking about another brand of motherboard I'd recomend this motherboard just for the UFEI.

Cons: Included software can cause instability. The colors don't match Asus's graphics cards.

Other Thoughts: The included overclocking software is poorly programed. When I tried it was able to achieve a moderate 4.3ghz overclock, but to get there it slightly changed the BCLK (Base CLocK, one of the two numbers used to determined the frequency the CPU runs at). Doing this can gain speed, but is also an easy way to make your system unstable. Mine ran fine for everyday usage, but when pushed in games or torture tests it would fail. My biggest problem with the software is that it made the overclock so hard to undo. I wouldn't be mad about it if there was a one button way to restore my system (with the case closed), but dispite loading "optimal defaults" in the BIOS and uninstalling the software I still had problems. I only solved it by manually restoring the stock settings. Please fix this Asus!

5 out of 5 eggsEasiest Board I've Ever Setup, Almost

Pros: I got my new components - RAM, CPU, Mobo, and Heatsink, since all of my stuff was way outdated - I was running an FX-60 on an old A8N32-SLI. You can keep chuckling at that, if you want.

Board quality is exactly what I would expect from ASUS. Easy to setup, easy to use, and (almost) no headaches to mention. Board looks pretty nice, and the header pin Q-Connector (or whatever it's called) makes the front panel sinfully easy to to install.

Plenty of connectivity. A regular user should never need to worry about having enough SATA or USB ports.

Also, HELLLOOOOO UEFI. You have no idea what you're missing out on until you use it. Seriously. Trust me.

Rock stable, too.

Cons: This is a combination of this motherboard's heatsinks next to the processor socket, as well as the Scythe Rasetsu cooler I installed, but getting access to the top left pushpin for the cooler was one of the more aggravating things I've ever had to do when building a new system, it did happen eventually, but it took some work.

Other Thoughts: This is really a stellar board. The price seems about right to me, and it works. With the sole exception of the cooler being a bit of a PITA to install, this was an easy board to setup and use.
