5 out of 5 eggs6 Months Going Strong

Pros: Good price, supports Ivy, has a PCie 3.0 slot and works, that's always a plus. Highly recommend this for a Intel budget setup.

Cons: None yet. 6 Months and have had no problems

Other Thoughts: I'm running an i5-3570 (3.4 quad-core) with 16 (4x4) Gig's of GSkill DDR3-1600. About to upgrade the video card, but have been running a 4800HD series card.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat board when running

Pros: 1. fast
2. easy set up
3. BIOS Safety features
4. easy overclocking and BIOS upgrades

Cons: 1. died after last than a month
2. Bad placement of the pcie1x slot. There is NO way you can mount a pci1x card and a full size video card. I have the EVGA GTX570 and the card takes up both slots space wise. A better option would be to place the slot somewhere else on the board and possibly include an extension cable so that the card could still be mounted at the back of the case and connect to the mobo.
3. not enough Chassis Fan headers
4. had to upgrade the BIOS to stop crashes
5. back plate was a little fidgety, it wouldn't line up quite right with the components of the board and those small metal fins had to be bent slightly to let them pass through

Other Thoughts: This board fit the bill for a microATX build I was switching to. It handles the i7 I put in it very well, no complaints there. No issues with the RAM after figuring out the timings.

This board blazes, there is absolutely NO COMPLAINT about it's speed or stability AFTER you upgrade the BIOS. This is a must, as soon as you have the board, upgrade the BIOS and save yourself any headache with RAM timings or cpu compatability.

My problem like a few others here is that the board died after amount 3 weeks. I had a BSOD 2 days ago and recovered from that with no issue and then today, 4/8/13, I tried to power the system on and it would not POST.

I went through extensive troubleshooting to find out the issue and pinpoint it,e ven though I was fairly certain I already knew it was the board.
1. reseat ram - no effect
2. try known good ram - no effect
3. reset BIOS to defaults via jumper - no effect
4. recover factory BIOS using the onboard flashback function - no effect
5. remove all components (hdd, cdrom, ram, video card, wifi adapter) - no effect
6. remove CPU - no effect
7. tried known working PSU - no effect

This thing simply will NOT post.
I have already submitted an RMA and will be shipping it back tomorrow, 4/9/13. Once I have the new board and run it through some burn in and torture tests I'll update the review and we'll see if the new one lasts more than 3 weeks.
This is my first time venturing into Asus land, I'm normally an EVGA or Gigabyte guy and I hope this is just a fluke and the new board will be flawless.

5 out of 5 eggsVery easy Setup

Pros: Easy setup
Onboard raid is a breeze
Decent onboard video with HDMI output
No Bios update required for the Intel i3 2150 CPU
Has 3 fan headers - which is nice

Cons: None really

Other Thoughts: Using as a HTPC with onboard RAID enabled on the 4 3gb SATA ports. No issues with 3 weeks of 24/7 operation; very stable. This board is overkill for what I am using it for, but I had it as an extra along with some other spare parts so I decided to do something productive with it.

With all Asus boards make sure you use the certified memory. I have found that Asus boards are a little on the picky side with respect to this.

A bunch of quiet fans

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy to build a system using this board

Cons: DVI port doesnt work (problem has been isolated to that), normally would RMA but my client doesnt have time to wait around so I slapped an old graphics card in it and had to send it as is.

It most likely doesnt work because whomever packed my shipment at newegg just threw everything in the box and went as far as to wad up the packing list instead of laying it on top.

Other Thoughts: Running a small business server non stop with zero crashes thus far.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: It works perfectly.

Cons: I don’t think you can actually put in two large GPU for SLI/cross fire in here, say two HD 7870, but I won’t remove an egg because of that.
