5 out of 5 eggsNice board for the price

Pros: Price was great for the features and quality of the board. For mid range to high level gaming, this board is everything you should need.

Cons: Could maybe have a better audio controller, The audio is just fine, but it is not HD.

Other Thoughts: Supports 2 way SLI/Crossfire, ASUS is just quality around the board from what I have experienced and this is no different with a lower priced/performance board. Easy to work with, though the manual had some missprints in it. No issues though.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Board

Pros: Stable.. easy to work with... Assembled everything on the bench... posted first time...Put it in the case, loaded Windows 7 Pro and it has been stable since day 1... (Aug of 2013).... nary a problem as of today... This is my 3rd build with an Asus motherboard... and they all have lasted for years...I don't game, or overclock my business boards.. it is just a really good board for my business computer... it runs about 16 hours a day.... everyday...

Cons: None... of course it is not loaded with double wah-wahs and priority 1 whatchaflappers.. but I didn't pay for any of that.... It's really is a great board for the price..

5 out of 5 eggsUsed in HTPC

Pros: Was easy to set up like all Asus boards. Using Windows 7 Ultimate and running an Areca 9TB RAID6. Everything runs smooth, will be using this to play some non-cutting edge gaming. Equipped with 12GB of RAM and a GTX 260 will have plenty of power to run at 1920x1080.

Cons: None so far

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board for my basic build

Pros: I wanted a solid motherboard for my wife's build and this worked well. I installed an Intel i3-3225 processor and am using the built in Intel HD 4000 graphics which is fine. No issues at all.

Cons: It would be nice to have one more 6 gb/s Sata III connector on the board. I used the one it has for my SSD.

2 out of 5 eggsFaulty caps on OEM board

Pros: Like the board layout. Had everything I needed at a great price.

Cons: I bought an OEM board, so I can't be sure who's at fault... But, there was a faulty capacitor in the DIMM power circuit which caused a short to the base of a switching transistor connected to one of the voltage regulators. The result was smoke as soon as the power was turned on. Probably just a bad component, and not any fault of ASUS (I give them 3eggs.) However, newegg claims that they test the functionality of all OEM parts before re-shipping. This is clearly not the case (they didn't even catch the bent pins on the CPU socket.) 1 egg for newegg.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for I guess... This'll probably be the last time I buy any OEM boards. Too much to fail, not worth the risk of the delays.

1 out of 5 eggsNo Power

Pros: Looks cool.

Cons: I waited until the mail guy came for this, and after I received the motherboard, I start building my computer. I wasn't doing it alone, so it's not like I didn't know what I was doing. After putting EVERYTHING where it needed to go, I hook up the power to the plug, flipped the switch to the power, the LED light went on (the motherboard) and then I go to press the Power button. NOTHING WORKED. Usually when you plug in the power supply to a computer, the fans inside turn for a little and it might make a chirp noise. Briefly letting you know power went through. I luckily have another computer I can check other parts on, and the power supply WORKS. Everything else works. GPU, CPU (is brand freaking new, so the CPU shouldn't effect the power), the RAM works, EVERYTHING WORKS but there is NO POWER TO ANYTHING. This motherboard is probably DOA, but even still it's GARBAGE. I trusted ASUS considering I have an ASUS laptop I'm using right now to write this but this is honestly such a waste. I was SO eager waiting months to buy some parts every paycheck just for THIS to happen. I wish ASUS would check their parts to see if they're DOA or not. Complete waste.

Other Thoughts: Now I have to waste MORE time and energy just to repackage this thing back up, risk hurting my CPU, and send this waste of metal and components back. Whatever.

4 out of 5 eggsReliable

Pros: Worked great, ran smoothly for time being.

Cons: PCIe 3.0 slot died after 3 months
SATA ports are in an inconvenient spot
USB slots are also randomly dying (so far 3 of 6 are dead)

Other Thoughts: I've always trusted ASUS but this mobo was somewhat of a let down. I guess you get what you paid for.
