ASUS F2A55-M/CSM FM2 AMD A55 (Hudson D2) HDMI USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

Pros: Solid, stable board for someone building a general purpose computer. Running 24/7 without hiccup since purchase.

This board has all video connections in their own housing, many boards in this price range do not.

Cons: I/O backplate gave me grief, ended up bending the tangs between the VGA and DVI ports straight out in order to get the board mounted in the backplate.
VGA connector flexes more than I would like.

Other Thoughts: Would not recommend this board for A!0 cpus even though Asus website states it will run them. It only has a 4 pin CPU power connector. You should buy a board with an 8 pin connector, if running a K series Trinity or the 65 watt A 10, to ensure enough power to the cores.

Pros: BIOS GUI makes flexible configuration easy. BIOS can be updated from a USB drive (no operating system).
Supports UEFI secure boot and legacy modes.

Cons: The "auto" mode for memory speeds isn't perfect. Some days it was finding the right speed and everything was solid. Others, it was locking up. I ended up locking the memory speed manually, then it was stable.
It's not easy to switch from "auto" CPU speed to a fixed speed. In Auto, it shows the final clock, but the manual settings are for a base clock and multiplier. It's not clear what you need to match what it was finding in "auto".

Other Thoughts: I wrote the "stability issues" review and can't figure out how to edit it. So I wrote a new one.

Pros: Nice BIOS configuration. Can flash BIOS directly from a USB drive.

Cons: I'm having stability issues with the 5302 BIOS (2/4/2013). One day its flawless, the next it's locking up hard every hour.

Other Thoughts: CPU A6-5400K (not overclocked). Memory Crucial Ballistix 8GB DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model BLT2KIT4G3D1869DT1TX0, running at 1333Mhz. BIOS shows cool temperatures. Ubuntu Linux 12.04 64bit.

Pros: This board has a great price. It also provide users with several great features like USB3, SATA 6GB, DDR3, etc.

Cons: As of 11/10/2012 Asus does not provide customers with a TDP.... How do I know if this board will support 100W APU's??? With out this information, I will most likely return the product. I have tried calling Asus, but I don't feel like this is something that should be missed. Their website does not list compatible APU's either. Very upsetting performance from such a large company....
