will it work with intel 4790 cpu?

If you check the asus website i believe they released a bios update to allow it to work. You may have to flash it with a different processor and then put the 4790 in. Check out the asus site to be sure

Does this motherboard have a chip that lets me connect to the wifi? Or do I need to buy a separate PCI Wireless Adapter?

First I bought a separate PCI Express Wireless Adapter. Then I bought a PCI Wireless Adapter because the cooling system on my video card covered the PCI Express slot rendering it inaccessible.
