1 out of 5 eggslan issues

Pros: It ran for a while and then poof, the on-board lan disappeared altogether.

Cons: Lan drivers only available from windows update. VIA drivers don't work. ECS support is cheap, just like this board.

Other Thoughts: TAKE A PASS ON THIS MOBO, just buy an MSI or ASUS.

4 out of 5 eggsSound probs, other than that it's OK.

Pros: Hasn't fried on me after a few months... that's good.

Arctic Cooling 7 Pro fits w/o touching northbridge.

Cons: Sound only comes out of the left channel... read more about it below.

I can't overclock still, but what do you expect for such a low price?

Also, I cannot view my CPU temps for some reason with any temp programs... shows up in the BIOS though at least.

Other Thoughts: I wrote a review before on this board... just want to say that after a couple of months, the onboard sound only outputs the left channel (making most songs sound unfinished, gaming is subpar now also). I doubled checked this problem with a different set of speakers and the sound still comes out of the left speaker only. Right will fade back in randomly for about a day but has been left only for a while now. I have tried everything troubleshooting the problem...no luck.

I might use this old SB Live! card I have to give me better sound quality replacement anyhow.

Buyer beware!

Pentium D 805 Dual Core
Arctic Cooling 7 Pro Heatsink (it fits on this motherboard)
1GB Geil PC3200 DDR400
XFX 6600GT
160GB WD IDE

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy to install. Low price. Good buy for a budget

Cons: I can't get my onboard audio to work. Everything is hooked up properly and enabled in bios menu. I even tried to hook up the front audio port on board, and still has failed. May have to RMA, but most likely will just buy another board within the next month. Afraid if I RMA the next board will be a DOA. LOL

Other Thoughts: E6600 dual core, 1 GB patiriot memory, 18x Lg dvdrw, 250 GB WD. Decodes, compress, downloads to hard drive, then burns on a DVD the average movie in 15min

2 out of 5 eggsToo Cheap -- Unstable Board

Pros: cheap

Cons: Unstable. Frequent "machine check" errors under stress. Possibly a function of the VIA chipset. Has become progressively worse over time and now I can crash it at will and am replacing it with a quality Tyan board. Wasted way too much time with this, loading newer BIOS versions etc.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board for the price

Pros: Excellent motherboard for the price. I recently put together a gaming/multimedia machine with this board in it and it's a very reliable product. I had a hard time finding a board that was small enough for my tower, but this one worked out perfectly. If you're into gaming like myself, you know that PCI-E is the way to go and this board carries that, plus, up to 2GB of 184-pin DDR RAM. Can't get a better deal than this for under $75!

Cons: No objections so far. BIOS is stable and so is everything that is connected to the physical board.

Other Thoughts: Newegg shipping is the absolute best!

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT DEAL

Pros: Good stable board, put together with a pentium d and a gig of ram, takes anything I throw at it.

Cons: No usb support with Mac os... Nic can be sketchy with linux. If I run linux the internet wont work 60% of the time, then when I boot back to windows, there is not nic card... so I have to disconnect from the back for 5 secs... then its fine.

Other Thoughts: Ive had this motherboard for over 5 months now and haven't had a single flinch. I dont use Linux too much because of poor game support, so it doesnt bother me much. ECS is a great cheap manufacturer, this is the second ecs ive owned.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Mainboard for Price

Pros: Installed easily. Put it in a POWMAX case and unit has been running 3 months purring like a kitten!

Cons: none so far. I love it!

Other Thoughts: We put a Dual Core and 1gb ram with a 320gb hdd. Using all built in video, network, sound - works great...

5 out of 5 eggsBudget Intel motherboard

Pros: Got the Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 CPU for my new project. Using this motherboard to build the budget system with Intel Core 2 Duo CPU. So far, system runs very smooth with my 24hrs running project.

Cons: Before, I used the 300W power supply and got nothing on the screen. After changing to the good 450W power supply, problem has been solved. However, there is no information inside the mothreboard menu to show the minimum requirement for the power supply.

Other Thoughts: Budget price is good for the budget system.
