4 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: Best bang for the buck you can get.

Cons: Poor installation documents or online updates,
No big deal if you're a pro.

Other Thoughts: Lets face it...... every Motherboard is produced by the same 2-3 factories, quality is all the same, features are the only difference..

5 out of 5 eggsGreat HTPC board

Pros: Runs cool and quiet, no fuss installation, makes for a great HTPC.

Cons: No USB 3.0 and the bios is not designed for overclockers. I did not buy this board intending to overclock it.

Other Thoughts: I originally started with Gigabyte H55-USB3 itx board, and it was nothing but a pain from the beginning. It was just unstable, no matter what bios settings I chose, even without overclocking. It would randomly shut down for no reason. Newegg was kind enough to RMA that board for me and I took a chance on this one, which has worked out well. If you're building an HTPC and don't want the hassle of the Gigabyte board, go with this one.

2 out of 5 eggsdons't like memory in the second position

Pros: small, Intel HD graphics work well with the Icore-3 550 cpu that i'm using, case was not able to accomadate the 5450 card I purchased, but the intel graphics via HDMI work very well.

Cons: Does not like memory load in the second dimm position. System will reboot under light or heavy load, remove the memory in the second position, and it works flawless.

Other Thoughts: I'm running windows 7 32, with 2X2GBs, sure I'm not getting 4gb' of total utilization, but I had already purchased the OS months ago, but the board should not reboot, with 2x2GB's installed. Has to be the board, as I've tried with another brand of memory purchased locally, same results. As mentioned, it works with out a hitch with 1X2gb's, go figure

4 out of 5 eggssolid board

Pros: best bang for buck in miniITX
great customer service
only one legacy port (HDMI, DVI-D, coax + optical SPDIF, etc.)
nice heatsink on chipset

Cons: no option for decreasing DIMM voltage below 1.5v (spent $10 extra on ECO 1.3v RAM)
causes a stock Intel fan to emit a very slight, high-pitched whine when using the auto-scaling fan speeds

Other Thoughts: I bought 1.3v RAM to lower power consumption but can't take advantage of it.

The annoying whine has something to do with their auto-scaling fan function and is probably the type that would be inaudible to seniors. I had the same result with two CPUs and two fans, neither of which made this noise on other h55 boards. I was able to diminish it by playing with the scaling settings but couldn't get it to go away without setting the fan at full speed, which is quite loud. The first BIOS update for this board improved the noise about 50% but didn't fix it entirely; either way, I hope it will be solved in a future BIOS update.

Would be great to see a DisplayPort output so I could get 2560x1600 but no one's doing that in mini-ITX at the moment.

Along with a few other h55 boards, this does not work with the HP LP-3065. I might have been able to get it running at 1280x using winXP, though don't hold me to it. We just made do and bought new monitors.

5 out of 5 eggsH55H-I still rockin!

Pros: This is an update to my 1st review. I've now had my ECS H55H-I board for about 8 months now. It will run the i3-530 at 4.4ghz at 1.41v, will do 4.0ghz at 1.36v, and 3.6ghz with NO voltage bump. I keep it at 4.0ghz since the gains scale off after 4.0. The Corsair H50 backplate fits perfectly on it without smashing anything on the back of the board (take note Gigabyte!). The northbridge stays within temp ranges and the board layout is good for a m-itx board.

Cons: Some CPU coolers will overlap and block the PCI-E slot. BIOS is limited and simple but has all the required options to overclock. Reset cmos jumper is in the most annoying spot ever!! I super glued a plastic handle on it to make it easier to reset! Will not run the 95W cpu's so no true quad cores :(

Other Thoughts: There's a lot of ECS haters out there. I used to be one of them but this was the only board with the options I wanted available at the time I was doing my last build. I am very happy with it and I'm getting benchmarks that make Gigabyte and DFI owners jealous! Don't be scared to buy this board just because it's a ECS!

5 out of 5 eggsquick board

Pros: small form factor as is with all mini itx boards. runs on the cool side with a passive cooler lots of room for more "stuff" to add on..

Cons: none really to speak off

Other Thoughts: dropped in a i5 maxed the memory and away it went 160gb ocz ssd drive makes it very fast indeed. folks here is a hint i saved a load of cash by buying "new pull parts" from parts suppliers..

5 out of 5 eggsnice board and price

Pros: Works well for me. Bios issues are normal in ecs boards its not one of the black series ie not made for overclocking etc. Also ram not working at 1600 is partially the chipset read ecs's site board officially supports DDR3 1333.

Cons: Cmos jumper is in a stupid spot can't get to it without cursing.

Other Thoughts: System specs:
Intel core i3 560 (es) oc'd to 4ghz
2x2gb G.Skill Ripjaws 2000 cl9 @1600 cl8-9-8-24
2x1tb samsung 7200rpm drives
Zotac 9800gt 512mb gddr3 eco ed. oc'd to 675/1687/1950
Thermaltake slim x3
Rosewill mini itx case and 250w psu
