Question 1

This MOB has a 4 pin or 12V1 CPU power connector on it. However, my PSU has an 8 pin CPU power connector. Is there an adapter out there, or do I need to return either the MOB or PSU?

Usually the power connector that plugs into the little 4 pin square connector on the motherboard close to the CPU is a separate connector coming out of the power supply.  I have seen instances where this 4 pin connector was combined with another connector making it a 6 or 8 pin connector, but the additional pins are usually able to be snapped off of the 4 pin connector.  So in other words, it's two separate connectors that can physically come apart.

Other than that I don't know what to tell you.  I have not seen a power supply that did not have this 4 pin connector in a very long time.

Question 2

The specs state that the memory is DDR3-1600.

Does this mean I cannot use DDR3-1866, 2000, 2133, 2400, 2600, 2666, 2800, 2933, 3000, 3100, or 3200 RAM?

If I can use these other higher speed RAMs, what would happen?

If you use memory that has a speed faster than what a motherboard is rated for, the memory falls back to the highest speed allowed by the board.   So, all of the higher speed RAM would perform as if they were DDR3-1600.

Question 3

The Memory std. on the specifications lists only DDR3 1600. Can I use DDR3 1333 since I plan to use Celeron (which does not support DDR3 1600 or higher frequency)?

Yes. It will run at the lower speed. If you go to the ECS website and look at the recommended memory for this board it only lists one module. If you look at the H86H3-M (V1.0) it will list much more. That was the best info I could find. Would probably have to contact support for anything else.

can i use a usb flash drive to update the bios on this board?

Yes, but a quick warning, if your are getting a gpu, the gtx 700 series and above doesn't work on this board

The description says that there are 2 on board usb 2.0 and 2 usb 3.0 headers, but I looked carefully with the zoom and I can't find them in the picture, can you confirm the specs?

The USB 3 header looks like it is perpendicular to the board on the right hand side.  It's below the main power connector.  Most mobos typically have 1 of these, but it accommodates 2 full, 3.0 plugs on the front panel.  There appears to be at least 1 USB 2.0 header on the bottom, and possibly a second.  Many times these are split to utilize more than 1 front port, but this mobo has at least one, possibly 2 regarding 2.0.
