Great Motherboard
- Pros: Great board overclocks my Q6600 with ease
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: Intel Q6600 overclocked to 3.0 8GB ram 64GB SSD 2 750GB WD Black in Raid 0 300GB sata 9800 GTX+
Nice
- Pros: Its a great motherboard with decent features... can run Osx 86, runs Ubuntu great... and Xp works fine
- Cons: I think it might be a little behind the times, it doesn't have the pci express x16 2.0 so you might run into some problems with that, and no sli.
I had a problem with a bios update and had to rma, When i got it back wouldn't dual boot windows/osx86 anymore :(
- Other Thoughts: Runs great, i have a e7200, 8600gt runs older games fine.
Great while they last
- Pros: Great Price point, rock solid while it works, supports quad cores.....
- Cons: North Bridge heatsink is very tall and only a passive cooler. It runs hot and might interfere with large after market heatsinks.
I had one of these in my system for about a year and it was running perfectly fine. So good I bought one for another build I was doing. Two months after I delivered the second rig, the board died. I tested it with my identical board and RMA'ed back to DFI. Got that board back and everything was fine. Then mine died. Nothing changed in the system. I reset the BIOS, swapped RAM, PSU, video card, and processor and the thing will not POST.
- Other Thoughts: Screw it, I'm done with DFI. I bought a Gigabyte board to replace it. DFI's lanparty boards look nice but are WAY to expensive, and seeing how their middle of the road board (this one) isn't reliable I don't see me buying from them again.
