Awesome
- Pros: Had no issues with installation of this motherboard. Didn't have to RMA. All my equipment supported itself listed Specs bellow. I see no flaw's or issues. DFI creates a great product. I knew what i was purchasing and the reasons were simple. I knew i needed a large mix of older and new technology. I Do Audio editing and Gaming. So i like to have my own Sound card including Extreme Video. So having this setup with the position of the PCI and PCi express slots works very well for me. DFI has a great BIOS setup when it comes to restoring itself, somthing to look into. It will save and store Bios config as you adjust as long as the boot process completes. IF you fail on boot. The Bios will default to a saved config which previously worked. I havent had the Problem of this as of yet so i dont know exactly how it works, But each change i have made it confirms update and save of config during boot.
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: I find no issues with this board. I dont find this to be a Con thats why i am adding it to Other thoughts. This board has a very complex bios, or a bios that will not suit most people who do not have experience with advanced configurations of exactly how they want the equipment to be configured. This bios gets down to the Nitty gritty of things and you really need to know what you are doing to make sure the changes you make are what you want. This is great for me because, i like to tweak as much as i can. You can always get help from the Forums if you cannot figure something out on this board. just like any other forum though you must detail your equipment and what you have before they can help you out.

poor customer service
- Pros: good features, inovative cooling concept.
- Cons: northbridge and pwm run very hot
died after 3 months use at stock speeds. PWM nearly caught the mainboard on fire. I only had with neweggs 30 day warranty so had to go through the rma process with DFI. this was there response.
Dear customer; After our engineer see the picture, we can't fix the damage, & for the physical damage the warranty is out. Sorry for this matter. Best regards,
- Other Thoughts: get neweggs extended warranty, or DFI may burn you.
LP UT not for nubs
- Pros: Works perfectly! Runs my Phenom II x4 920 fast and stable at 257fsb * 14 on zal-men, ddr2 1066, without even flexing. Dual boots XP x86 and Vista x64 on a Tera of RAID 0. Installs XP in @ 9 minutes; 18K in 3DMk06, on only two way crossfire(2900xt1GB).
If you don't know what all that means, you might want to stop reading here and go pay more for some other, lesser motherboard. DFI designs UT for the connoisseur.
- Cons: It's pretty evident that this board could easily put enough juice through my CPU and RAM to rocket them out the side of my case.
....uhhh...sighh..."Dad!! I'm not going to exlpain it to you again! I DO need an 1100W power supply!".....
- Other Thoughts: Taking one look at the components on this board will tell anyone with any kind of electronics knowledge that it is not "cheap" as some reviewers have stated.
&&& As Master Chun would put it: "Dis man board.. Boys doan go cry to mudda cuz yu canno make do shinunzu......evun 2!?"&&&
