4 out of 5 eggsGood Board

Pros: Lots of space on the board, the layout is very nice. The BIOS has lots of great features. I set up RAID0 on this MoBo with 2 250Gb WD HDD. Works great, and easy setup. This MoBo has more features then i use, but its nice to have it.

Cons: I could not use a standard cooling fan, nor could i use the second fan that i bought. But i got a Zalman cooling fan, and it fits perfect. Love it so far. Ive had it for 6 months and NO problems. I had a question once, and sent DFI a email, and i got a responce within 15 minutes!! WOW! I will buy from this company again, and again.

Other Thoughts: This board is not cheap, but worth the money.

5 out of 5 eggsLost

Pros: None yet

Cons: I cant get anything to run... i tried swapping a HDD from on cpu to this and it didnt boot, so i figured i need to do a clean install of xp then to vista... everything runs fine till the installation gets to "starting windows" then beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep it just keeps going on and on, one continuos beep. the board will stay on for about 5 min then shut off. Wierd thing is no error code it reads FF. I tried switching my HDD manually to LBN but same thing. I tried looking online to see what the deal is.

Other Thoughts: I thought my tech lvl was above average, but i guess this just set me back. WOW never been stumped like this b4. I already own a landparty DK 790FX and i love it... no problems on initial instal or at all. This will be my 6th build. well well... i guess i redeemed myself... easy fix... i went into bios and noticed cpu was running at 109degrees!!!! I fooled around a a few things and it shut off right then i new what was wrong... the heat sink was not seated properly! lol

1 out of 5 eggsNot the best from DFI

Pros: Overclocks my q6600 to 3.6 on air easy with june 08 bios.

Cons: Will not post when i put in 8 gigs of ram (4x 2gig) Just gives C1 error

Other Thoughts: Im mad it wont post this ram. It is the OCZ 2rpr800c44gk.
I called OCZ and right now have them sending me 4 new sticks but I'm thinking it is the board cause the memory is matched correctly and I have tried the last 4 bios.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible

Pros: Appeared to be fairly straight-forward to install. Good, since the documentation was so poor.

Cons: Documentation terrible, just very basic. Online help useless. Company's tech support hours are only regular business hours, so no help at all. Most people using a board like this are using it at home, but you can't call them on the weekends, and they are closed on holidays - the hours that home users will actually need them. The board doesn't work. Buzzing sound fomr the CPU area at times. I tried different RAM. No buzzing sound, but no matter what I do, it runs for about 3 minutes and then shuts down. I'm returning this, never another DFI product!!!!

1 out of 5 eggsBad board

Pros: None-DOA

Cons: BOARD WAS JUNK. WOULD NOT POST. ALL IT WOULD DO IS GIVE ME A C1 ERROR AND THEN RESTART TO A BLACK SCREEN. ALL OTHER PARTS WORKER AND WERE TESTED. SENT IT BACK FOR A REFUND, DID NOT WANT TO GET ONE MORE BAD BOARD. THE BOARD LOOKED AND FELT CHEAP. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND LOOK FOR SOMETHING ELSE. NOTHING WORSE THAN BUILDING A NEW RIG JUST TO TAKE IT APART AND RMA CHEAP GARBAGE.

Other Thoughts: FIRST DFI I'VE TRIED. I DON'T THINK I'LL TRY ANOTHER ONE.

5 out of 5 eggswow

Pros: Everything down to the price, I connected my q6600 and ddr2 800 sticks in and boom loaded up right there, a lot faster then my older pc, comes with ABS profile meaning you can download other peoples overclock settings and the board will automatically overclock it for you :D...I think, but it has a lot of profiles mainly requiring you to purchase ddr 2 1066 sticks which isn't a problem since ddr2 isnt as expensive as it use to be

Cons: took me a while to understand what everything was, so ease of use wasn't all that great

Other Thoughts: I love this board so much my first DFI board and I dont think I want to go back to Gigabyte, this is truly one of the greatest boards I have purchased in a long long time. and supposibly it can support ddr2 1142 ram so people if your looking for a good board that can do that here it is

1 out of 5 eggsShort Lived

Pros: High number of options/settings.

Cons: Heat sinking is poorly positioned.

Other Thoughts: Bought this board because of the options and claims that it was an OC rock. Ran it ONLY at stock speeds and voltages hoping for maximum stability and longevity. The board died in 6 months and I have been trying to get an RMA from DFI for several weeks.
Not a satisfied customer.

4 out of 5 eggsPlenty of options

Pros: I've had this mobo for about 6 months now with no problems. The current price for this mobo is a steal. The package included plenty of cables which is more than most other manufactures do anymore. There are plenty of things you can tweak on this board.

Cons: The manual and DFI website are sort of useless. However, no one should get this motherboard unless you know what your doing. This includes people who write reviews based upon a friends computer knowledge. The heatpipes were to big for my aftermarket heatsink. The heatpipe issue is why I gave this a rating of 4 out of 5. No biggie, the heatpipe issue is only an excuse for me to by a new one.

Other Thoughts: Of course, Newegg shipping was spot on as usual.

1 out of 5 eggsDOAAAAAAAAAAA

Pros: I'm not sure.

Cons: The motherboard was dead on arrival. Hopefully, I can get my PC working as soon as I get this back.

Other Thoughts: I thought DFI was a good brand...
