Perfect Board
- Pros: Got this motherboard almost a year ago (2/12/2009) has been running stable since, for a x48 motherboard in this price range it overclocks almost like a P45, FSB wall is at about 464 for me. I was able to push my Q6600 to 3.6GHz 1.35V stable and, my RAM to 1200MHz 2.2V for 24/7 operation, and it runs flawlessly couldn't ask for more in the price this Board was at the time of purchase.
- Cons: I did have some problems when I first bought this Board, Like C1 error for no reason and some memory problems. I tried a few different memory kits but same problem and they occurred at random times at boot up on random days, but the problem stopped happening after awhile and they never came back,
- Other Thoughts: Q6600 @ 3.6GHz
4GB OCZ Reaper DDR2-8400 @1200MHz
Corsair TX850W 850W PSU
2x HIS ATi Radeon HD 4850 in CrossfireX
Western Digital Green 1TB
Western Digital Velociraptor 300GB
Pioneer IDE DVD burner
Xigmatek HDT-1283 With bolt-thru kit
DFI LP DK X48-T2RSB PLUS LGA 775
- Pros: Purchased 2/4/09 Running almost a year 24/7 with no problems what so ever. Core 2 Duo E8500 Wolfdale 3.1Ghz overclocked to 3.8 Ghz. Overclock by turning up frontside bus only. All voltage remains at stock settings.
- Cons: None
BIOS ISSUES
- Pros: Good features for a mid-range board.
- Cons: This board was bought to replace an identical board in which the onboard SATA controller had failed. However, first day of powering up this board it has issues. The onboard speaker just beeps constantly at time as if the memory is counting fast, then is shuts off. Also, while in BIOS the board all of a sudden shuts off.
- Other Thoughts: Seems to be a hit and miss that you'll get a good board. You have to take your chances. DFI has definitely gone down in quality control. This makes the third DFI board which has problems in the past six months, and two of those were DOA!
