BIOS ISSUES

Pros: Good features for a mid-range board.

Cons: This board was bought to replace an identical board in which the onboard SATA controller had failed. However, first day of powering up this board it has issues. The onboard speaker just beeps constantly at time as if the memory is counting fast, then is shuts off. Also, while in BIOS the board all of a sudden shuts off.

Other Thoughts: Seems to be a hit and miss that you'll get a good board. You have to take your chances. DFI has definitely gone down in quality control. This makes the third DFI board which has problems in the past six months, and two of those were DOA!

Pros: With this board there are none.

Cons: Thos board has been replaced once for cmos bios issues and replacement board has the same issues.
Lets see if theis replacement will work.

Other Thoughts: Board informs me at start up that new cpu is detected.
Locks up and have to manually clear cmos in order for it to boot properly.
Cannot set cmos settings dues to failure and lock ups.

Board looks good if you want to frame it!

Great Stable Motherboard

Pros: This mid range motherboard is definitely high range in stability. Bought a X48 T2RSB Plus from newegg.ca, got a E5200 with 4 GB Viper 800 Extreme and took 'er to 4.0 GHZ Stable right away...
With an Arctic 7 Freezer Pro this build stays cool at 26 idle and 47 under full load... Gives me a Windows Experience rating of 5.3 (only 5.3 because I used a 3650 instead of something better)... Really stable with Intel Dual Cores...also tried a E2160 Conroe in this thing and had it OC'd to 3.2 GHZ 100% stable around the clock... DFI is definitely very good at what they do... HD Audio very good - 192khz and Northbridge cooling very satisfactory...CMOS clear jumpers always ensure you get back in once an OC goes bad...
Had it for a while and board has never once failed...Overall a must have for anyone who wants to do some serious overclocking...

Cons: Lan is a Little bit finicky - didn't kick in until I reinstalled Windows...
Other than that absolutely perfect...

Other Thoughts: I originally intended this 2nd build with the T2RSB Plus to be a "hobby system" - but it's so good with chips and stable that it is now becoming my main system..... Excellent.....
