5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: 1. Great deal at around $150 when I bought it.
2. Performance. Easily run i7-930 at 4GHZ with low voltage. Stable.
3. Nice BIOS support from DFI
4. Everything works. Easy to swap from DFI P45 JR to DFI X58JR.
5. Great overclocking.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I had a blast with the DFI P45 JR and I was hesitant to get the DFI X58 JR because of negative comments online. I went with my experience from DFI P45 JR and the DFI X58 JR has been great working with. i7-930 works great with it. Nice DDR3 tuning with G. Skill Pi series. Very fast MB.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat Until It Fails...

Pros: Really a nice board - absolutely full featured in a microATX size. Amazing. I have 6 sticks of Corsair Dominator memory running at 3200 and an i7-920 D0 at 3.6 gHz - on AIR.
But...

Cons: Motherboard failed @ ~10 months and DFI Customer Service is abysmal. Nice and quick on e-mail responses...at first...then you send in your board (at your expense) to California (I'm on the East Coast) and then you wait...and wait...and wait some more...they've had it 10 days now and no word back (except at day 5 when they said "hey, we just got it 5 days ago. Pls wait and we will ship asap."
Day 10 and I STILL do not have even a tracking number, let alone my MB back. Oh - and now they do not answer my e-mails...

Other Thoughts: DFI is reported to be exiting the enthusiast/consumer business and going back solely to OEM sales. Given my experience, I would say this is indeed true.
Beware.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board!

Pros: This board works great with kingston-hyperX ram (KHX1800C9D3K3/3GX). Running a i7 920 at stock with the ram set to the xmp setting of 1866mhz. I cant believe how much faster this set up is compared to my old athlon x2 3800+. I can convert and burn a dvd in less than 10mins using convertx to dvd. when it use to take me 35+ mins on my old rig. LOVE IT!!! board was very easy to setup. Iv been building comps for over 10years now and this one was cheese cake. love the clear cmos feature!! no more fumbling around with jumpers. performance came easy. might decide to over clock in a year or so when software becomes more demanding. gonna enjoy stock speeds for now.

Cons: i hate bright green..... but then again i dont have a fast and furious case with a window :P so no big deal.

Other Thoughts: why would you want or expect to run two different types/speeds/voltages of ram on your board and expect performance out of it?? the guy below needs to come back to reality.

5 out of 5 eggsA Very Adult Little Jr.

Pros: 9 total Usb 2.0 connections - Gigabit Lan
Optical and Coaxial outputs - Raid5
IDE & Floppy Drive Support - 6 SATA ports
2 PCIE x16 slots LGA 1366 Processor support for I7's
and 6 x 240 pin dim slots (YES 24gigs of ram!!!)

Cons: What Cons! This board has something for everyone.
Gaming, networking, production and yes even Overclocking if you are so inclined.

Other Thoughts: This is one of the best values in the Micro ATX Motherboards I have seen in years. Used this board in 2 systems for our church and if I have my way every new computer I build for our network will have this board. No job is too big or to small it just does its job and it does it well.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Specs look good
Price is reasonable for a 1366 board
Pretty green interconnect cables

Cons: Low performance
Poor customer support
Bios out of date

Other Thoughts: I rarely give products this low of a review. The problem with this board is that memory implementation is poor. 2 different sets of memory from 2 different manufacturers won't run reliably at the standard speed of 1333. Both sets of memory are 1600. One designed to run @ 1.5v the other @ 1.65v. Both sets will only run @ 1066. Stay away from this board. But if ya have to have it, buy 1066 memory and save a few bucks. DFI forum doesn't even have a specific thread for this MB. Must be unpopular. Shipped with bios dated 7/1/09. Most recent bios is 7/24/09.

2 out of 5 eggsCrashes about once a week

Pros: cheap, pretty.

Cons: This board crashes about once a week. I can make it about two weeks between crashes if I strategically position little fans around my system and leave the case off. This board is running an ubuntu webserver, so most of the time it isn't all that busy.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Board, worse company

Pros: Zero

Cons: This board crashes several times a day
Have tried 4 brands of RAM and 3 processors and 2 power supplies.

DFI has not answered emails or provided ANY support for this board to me.

Other Thoughts: RUN far and fast away from this company!!!!!!!

5 out of 5 eggsgreat board but not for everyone

Pros: Good stable motherboard
very good overclocker
The clear CMOS by pressing the power and reset button simultaneously is pure genious on DFI's part
CF & SLI bridge included

Cons: bios may be confusing for beginners

Other Thoughts: I really wanted the Asus Gene but this was $30 cheaper at the time. This is a very stable motherboard when overclocked 4.1ghz 1.232v, VTT 1.25v, ram 1680 9-9-9-25 1.5v.
If you can't do 4GHz with a D0 on this board it's your own fault.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks after some tomfoolery

Pros: -Pretty stable (once you get it going)

Cons: -Took a few days to get working correctly. It would boot up fine once, then if you reboot it would get suck at an undefined error code on the board LED. After removing memory modules and rearranging them many times, I finally got it to boot up.
-Support is pretty bad. I tried talking to them about my problem, they dismissed it as my power supply is not a "quality" power supply. It's an Antec 650w trio. Works fine with everything else, but according to them the 12v rails aren't perfect in their eyes. They refused to help me any further unless I bought one of the two brands of power supplies they recommended. Thanks DFI.

Other Thoughts: This is my third morthboard from DFI in my years of hardware experience. First motherboard I had was an nForce2 chipset. Had boot problems and others. Got a replacement motherboard for it, next revision that was supposed to fix the problems but of course it didn't. I have had many problems with DFI, I don't think I'll be a repeat customer ever again.

5 out of 5 eggsVery pleased

Pros: Great board, works as it should. Has all the features I wanted and very stable. I have had NO issues with this board. Hooked it up, powered it on...been enjoying it ever since.

Cons: None thus far (knocks on wood)
