5 out of 5 eggsEggcellent !

Pros: Price, eggcellent overclocker, rock stable, optical audio option. Paid 52 bucks for the open box 965PT version.

Cons: VIA IDE Controller, lack of support at BioStar website, location of power supply connector, location of CPU fan connector.

Other Thoughts: I have the 965PT version (open box), which is almost the same as this one. I was little hesitant at first, since I did not have any experience with Biostar before. But after this experience I will definitely purchase Biostar again. Beware of the VIA IDE controller, will not work with certain NEC DVD burners, as is the case with mine, now I have a good excuse to purchase a SATA burner. Location of power connector might be a pain in the rear depending on the size of your CPU fan. To over clock this mobo, goto BIOS set the front side to 420 (or whatever) and save. It is that easy. Make sure you have the latest BIOS. I am running this with the value version of Patriot 800MHz mem. from Newegg at 428MHz stable for couple of weeks now with no problems. I am sure you can easly do 450 with the right memory.

2 out of 5 eggsWorked well... for awhile

Pros: Solid audio, good chips, was stable for awhile....

Cons: After roughly 6 months, my computer decided to immediately shut off, and now the board refuses to POST.

Wasn't overclocked, everything set to specifications (which were rather difficult to find, I might add)...

Other Thoughts: Hopefully will be able to RMA it... doubt I'll buy another Biostar in the foreseeable future however.

5 out of 5 eggsGood bargain

Pros: Excellent O/C'ing ability, very stable, inexpensive.

Cons: Biostar MB utility software appears low quality, such as hardware monitoring, O/C'ing within Windows, etc. BIOS/driver updates scarce and not obviously availible.

Other Thoughts: Go to www.biostar.com.tw and click on their products -> TForce series to get BIOS/drivers. They are not on the USA site and not on listed under driver download on either site. Had zero problems during install, although my system setup is very easy. No memory hassles. Received a version 5 board (version 6 is latest), the only obvious difference being audio port layout. E4400, 8800 GTS 320MB, 2GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2-675.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great stable board, just right for a home-office box. NOT games.Or atleast I wouldn't do games on this rig.

Cons: DDR 400 I got would not register. So make sure you check the recommended Memory vendors. I used the memory in another rig, but that may not be a option for all.

Other Thoughts: So good I got another (with different Memory)

4 out of 5 eggsNot Bad

Pros: Bought it as a combo with a e4400 for a customer. I liked the bios options that the board had.

Cons: Had to RMA first board. UPS is terrible.

Other Thoughts: Would get 5 stars but first board had to be RMA'd which delayed the order by a couple weeks.

5 out of 5 eggsE4300 GSkill Biotsar Budget Rocket

Pros: Finaly figured out you have to use 400 memory timing to get 3+ ghz. F##s mb\E4300, Cheep GSkill 2GB PC6400 ram with Red Heat Spreaders. Easy over clock. FAST CHEEP

Cons: Took so long to figure out to use 400 not 533 667 or 800 memory timing in bios. Then all good. Be sure to update BIOS. Vista needs this or the CD|DVD will not work. The 450w TT PS with rebate works.

Other Thoughts: Used Stock heatsink and low voltages. The cheep Red GSkill ram is all you need. Will go up to 2.2 volts easy but not needed.7600GT WinXP Runs cool Easy Overclock

4 out of 5 eggsnot to bad

Pros: Good price for what you get. Can do some overclocking. Good enough for this non gamer.

Cons: If you want extreme overclocking look elsewhere. Bus speeds over 310MHz (1240MHz FSB) are not stable running Orthos beta.

3 out of 5 eggsehhhh.

Pros: Lots of overclocking options (except you can't change the ratio between the Ram and FSB -- always at 1:1)

Cons: Placement of the main power connector -- to close to the CPU.
When I overclock my FSB I can't play S.T.A.L.K.E.R or Splinter Cell CT, both games crash at the load screens. I have done burn in test and have no crashes. Also CPU temps are all between 30- 45 C. When I restore the FSB to factory settings everything is normal (games load properly).

Other Thoughts: I recommend spending your money on another board.

My system: C2D 6430 (@ 3.0ghz), G.Skill 2x1GB 800, PNY GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB.

5 out of 5 eggsgood board

Pros: This is one fine board, I fold 24/7 with several C2D's and this board is as good as any, plus it's a whole lot cheaper than a lot of mobos I can think of and it was a whole lot cheaper than what I've paid for a few C2D motherboards

Cons: I can't think of a one, it does everything it's advertized to do and then some.

Other Thoughts: I took my E6600 out of a much more costly mobo and put in this board, OC'ed it to 3.4 GHz and away I went (folding 24/7)

5 out of 5 eggsOwnage

Pros: This motherboard is a great, fast, and very overclockable board. I love this thing. The PCI, PCI-E/X, and RAM slots are UV reactive. I am running a core 2 duo e6600 running at 3.0 ghz... very stable... ran Prime95 with no errors.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Antec Super Lanboy Case
Intel C2D e6600 @ 3.0 GHz
2 GB Corsair DDR2 800 mhz RAM
eVGA 8800 GTS 640 mb
WEstern Digital 250 GB SATA 3.0 GB/s
