4 out of 5 eggsSecond time is the charm

Pros: This is an excellent board when it works. I got the luck of
the draw and got a bad one first time around. Of course, Newegg made it right and sent me another one with no
hesitation. How could anyone ask for anything better?

Cons: Bad boards happen......that is life and not really a con

Other Thoughts: I had to pay to return the bad board. Some people might have a problem with that but reasonably, what could you possibly expect. The bad board was in no way Newegg's fault. Why should they take the loss. I figure that is the chance I take when I buy by mail....occasionally I will get a bad part. If you think that is a problem, you should try another vendor and when you find they couldn't care less about helping you out, you will be back to Newegg where the customer is number one. I have been buying here for years and have had to RMA maybe 3 or 4 items. Returning those items was an insignificant price to pay for all the money I save at Newegg.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fast, full ATX form factor. I've paired it with an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600 Brisbane 2.9GHz, from a newegg bundle deal. The pair are running nice and cool (40C), even with no extra case fans. Linux (debian) recognized the onboard sound card with no problem.

Cons: Only 1 PATA channel, which is a very slight con.

I had some mild issues with the BIOS and grub bootloader. The hard drive boot order defaulted to PATA first, then the SATA. This made some things weird with the order in which grub labeled the drives, and then the bootloader got installed on the wrong drive.

Pros: Board is awesome!! Running 4 gig ram with it and it smokes pretty fast. I have a Asus sli with 8 gigs and this board keeps pace with it. I put a small512 mb video card and all is good so far. using this board for a media pc to my 57inch plasma and it is running smooth.

Cons: none that i can think of.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mobo

Pros: Very nice mobo, i actually bought mine at a local computer shop but it's never failed on me. Ran a single core Athlon64 3500 for about 6-8 months with an nVidia GeForce 8600GT then upgraded to an Athlon64 X2 6000+ with an nVidia GeForce 9800GT, I've had 2 gigs of DDR2 800 in it and 2 more are coming in the mail.

Cons: Not really a bad one but the heatsink-Fan i got with the Athlon64 X2 has some copper tubing that ran outside the heatsink and i had to snap a small bit of plastic off the Heatsink enclosure to make it fit.

Other Thoughts: Highly Recommended for people looking for a reliable AM2/AM2+ Mobo.

5 out of 5 eggsReliable, Cheap and alltogether not a bad buy

Pros: In its nearly two years of ownership, this board has done what I asked it to do. This board was a tide me over that ended up being my primary board. It took my CPU without issue, everything is convientently located (the jumpers for your pwr, hdd, etc are NOT located in an awkward manner) They are located just as they are on any other motherboard.

I never once had an issue in which I had to deal with the support staff.

This mobo is a good buy for the price if you aren't looking at any serious future upgrades. Good for a beginner/entry level gaming system.

Cons: None really, board has been reliable and stable. Allowed a moderate overclock on my retired X2 6000+

Other Thoughts: My ownership of this board has made me seriously consider purchasing another Biostar. They may not be as flashy as the other boards but they are not short on features and stability.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent buy

Pros: Excellent board, runs great out of box. Plenty of overclocking features for the enthusiast, but works just fine with the defaults. BIOS has configuration save files for multiple setup options. Fan utility optimizes for excellent fan control and cooling. Just wonderful for beginners and advanced users alike.

Cons: Preset overclocking features did not work well with my setup. Manual tweaking recomended.

Other Thoughts: Setup with AMD Athlon 64X2 5500, GSkil 6400 1GBx2,NVidia GForce 5500 512MB
Make sure to have a reliable PSU of at least 450W

5 out of 5 eggsLove it!

Pros: I don't know what people are complaining about. This board is easy, a piece of cake to work with. Even if you have a basic knowledge of computers and can read you shouldn't have no problems.
I do know that not every board coming out of the factory is perfect, but still people read and learn and do the research.

Cons: A naked women didn't deliver it with pizza and beer!

Other Thoughts: Trashed my wifes old Dell she was using, used her old hdd (Maxtor 160 gig SATA1) and the Sound card. Added this mo/bo, AMD 64 X2 5000,cooled by a Zalman 9700 CPU cooler, Zalman 500w psu. Corsair 2GB (2 X 1GB) 800MHz DDR2 SDRAM, Lite-On DVD burner, EVGA GeForce 8600 GTS video card, all tucked neatly inside of a LIAN LI PC-7B plus II.
If I could tell you what I got from her for doing this, Newegg would ban me. But it was worth it.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad, not bad at all

Pros: Very nice, great price attached. Two graphics card ports which is nice.

Cons: I would have rated this a 5 if it came with better instructions. Had to guess on some pretty important hook ups.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fairly cheap, has decent SATA support.

Cons: Support sucks. Horribly translated FAQ entries. The manual is just terrible. I managed to corrupt my BIOS by updating it, the manual has a procedure that does nothing. The website has an entirely different procedure that also does nothing. RMA'd
