4 out of 5 eggsnot a bad item

Pros: it's a good board no problems running it when i installed it. i play all kinds of game like cod blops and crysis and most high end games on it. its fast and nicely priced

Cons: found out i teyed doing a bios update to see if i could unlock the fourth core on my amd phantom2 x3 prosessor but when i did it wouldnt boot had to reset the batter by taking it out and reset the ram by taking it out put the settings back to defalt and worked again.

Other Thoughts: its a good board if you short on money and there r no hdmi inputs on this one, and there are not 2x pci-e 2.0 on this only 2x pci-1 slots so if you going to run sli you cant on this board unless you do pci-1 sli or x-over. but i got a gtx460 se evga vid card and it handles it nicely. over all its a nice board for the price

3 out of 5 eggsBios Settings

Pros: Good Price for Features

Cons: After Installing AMD Phenom X4 965, Computer began to Restart itself automatically every 30 minutes. I Had to Disable a Few Settings(Cool 'n Quiet) before it became stable.

Other Thoughts: Out of the box it crashes non stop so That's quite Flawed. If Your not good with BIOS Settings. Do not buy this Motherboard.

4 out of 5 eggsOverall, great product

Pros: Easy to install, plenty of SATA ports, Crossfire, DDR2 support, HDMI, BIOS update for X6 processors, excellent price.

Cons: Turning off the G.P.U. power utility in the BIOS before installing Win7 is a MUST, if I would've read the reviews beforehand I could've saved 3+ Hrs.

Not a problem for me, but the primary PCI-E slot is on the bottom.

Doesn't support DDR3, which is clearly stated in the specs, but is the difference between a 4 and a 5 egg rating for me.

Placement of the front panel audio connector is on the far left of the board, so if you have a large GPU and/or a short audio connector (like me) then that's out of the question.

All of the SATA connectors are mounted on the right side of the board, and are side loading, so if you have a small case or a monster GPU, this could make install significantly harder.

Doesn't support dual core graphics cards in crossfire, (X2 versions) This isn't listed in the specs, and while I wasn't intending to install two X2's, it was dissapointing to find out that I can't

Other Thoughts: Great, affordable board with plenty of connectors and features. Just make sure you know what you want to put in your computer beforehand, and TURN OFF G.P.U!

4 out of 5 eggsTA790GXE

Pros: Nice Look and Feel. Everything works on this board. Lan, Sound, USB, and VGA and DVI all work well. I haven't tested the HDMI because I don't have the cable for it. I am satisfied.

Cons: 2 Cons...
#1 - Most large motherboards have 9-10 holes drilled for mounting to the motherboard tray. This board only has left and middle holes ...there are no holes on the right edge of the motherboard. I'm just being picky that's all. I assembled my board on the desk prior to putting it in so its no biggie.
#2 I could not get Ubuntu Linux Live, Linux Mint 8.0 Live, Window XP Pro, or Windows 7 x64bit to complete and install/load properly until I found out that under the T-Series tab in the bios there is an option for G.P.U. (Green Power Utility) ...turn this feature "Off" and now the board loads any OS perfectly. I was stumped for a while, but now I am happy.

Other Thoughts: I don't see any multiplier adjustment on this board running a quad core black edition AMD... where is the multiplier adjustment? I have a bus speed adjustment and cool and quiet is turn off also, but no multiplier? Weird?... I can live with running stock CPU speed.

4 out of 5 eggsPower Management In Bios causes random reboots

Pros: easy overclocking
stable after disabling power management settings in bios
Bios update for phenom II X6

Cons: No firewire
no usb 3.0

Other Thoughts: If you have random reboots installing windows 7 and after computer wakes up from suspend (STR3) make sure you disable GPU power management and NB power management in bios. My system is solid after changing those settings.

4 out of 5 eggs790GXE

Pros: This motherboard works fine so far for me, after resolving some issues that made me think of might having to RMA it.
My onboard video, lan, sound all work fine.
I am happy now.
I bought this product as "OPEN BOX" and everything was factory sealed and included inside the box, the only thing i found was the seal on the box was broken/opened, but hey! thats OK!

Cons: G.P.U. Green Power Utility is a horrible nasty option. I could not make it through bench testing this motherboard with Ubuntu Linux, Linux Mint 8.0, Windows XP 32bit, or Windows 7 x64bit, until I went to the last tab in the bios that has the G.P.U. option in it and set it to "OFF" then this board works great. I also shut off COOL and QUIET since I like sucking up the most power and electricity to feed my components the most power I can give them to get the most performance out of them... there will be no "GREEN" options enabled in my house! Wha ha ha ha!!!

Other Thoughts: Why am i writing a review at 2:40am???

1 out of 5 eggsDOA, Bad Service

Pros: It looked cool?

Cons: 1 Item came DOA, but since Newegg didnt reply to my 2 emails I had to go to Biostar to see what the problem was. It was only then that I found out the board was DOA

2 The video card slot was flimsy and required you to put the video card on the lower PCIx16 slot where the airflow was worse

3 The LED lights that were supposed to help me diagnose what was wrong with the board didn't help at all.

4 Board was too big for my case, guess I will have to go micro ATX next time.

4 out of 5 eggsSlight Issue, Overall solid product

Pros: Easy to install, plenty of plugin spots, works like a charm and does everything I want it to do.

Cons: I keep having problems with my CD drive and the motherboard. The drive itself works just fine, and the motherboard sometimes detects my CD drive, but most of the time it does not. Totally stumped.

Other Thoughts: Aside from the CD drive problems, great product.
