SCREAMING MOBO w/ 955 BLACK !!!!!!
- Pros: LOW-COST,, lots of features, EASY overclocking ,,PRICE.....
- Cons: No Firewire, Main videocard(Primary) slot on bottom. No other CONS yet,, Hope4fully NEVER!!!
- Other Thoughts: I`ve been running this board for about 2 months and have NOT had 1 problem. I usally don`t skimp on motherboards, but the COMBO price for this mobo and the Phenom II X 4 955 BLACK cpu was a GREAT deal, so I bought it and so far it has been GREAT!!! I installed the 955 Black cpu with the bio`s the board came with and it had no problems, I used TWO Cruical 2GB sticks in memory slots 3 & 4 for a total of 4GB and installed Vista Ult 64 bit with NO PROBLEMS,,, I have ran the Cpu upto 3.84GHz with voltage on AUTO and 800MHz memory running at 980Mhz by changing FSB not the Multiplyer. I usally run Gigabyte boards there my favorite, but for the cost and features this Biostar mobo was the best deal. I also used the AUTOMATIC online BIO`s update and did not have any problems. So far all the problems others have been having I have NOT have one bit of trouble with anything. This board was painless and perfect to install and run. I ONLY give it 4 stars because it is only 2 months old.
Good Board
- Pros: Solid board that works well. I was able to obtain a resonable overclock of 3.2 on x4 620 with 1.408 volts. Under watercooling it idles in the low 20's (c) and loads in the low 30's (c).
- Cons: no cons per se, just don't expect all the bells and whistles given the price point.
- Other Thoughts: If you're on a budget, then this is the board for you. It has everything you need to get a system up and running on a limited budget, and has enough get up to put out a mild overclock.

- Pros: Installed board with no problems. Working great!
- Cons: Installed in an older case. Did not come with mounting screws.
Nifty Mobo!
- Pros: Installation was a dream. Have 940BE over-clocked to 3.45GHz. It is running cool and smooth.
- Cons: I/O panel holes don't line up with audio jacks. I am not using sound on this system, so it's not an issue to me. Dremel tool would fix easily.
- Other Thoughts: I bought this mobo to replace a dead Gigabyte (out of 7 owned, only 2 remain working!) I run distributed computing using BOINC 24/7, so I am hard on systems. This one is crunching SIMAP without a hitch.
I will buy another one when the next Gigabyte mobo dies.
Awesome!
- Pros: Awesome motherboard. Running it with a 4 gig kit of PQI RAM. I have not had one problem with it so far. A nifty feature of it is if you OC to high and it wont post, after about 30 seconds, it'll reset itself and post for you. Running with a Rana 435, 4 gigs of RAM, XFX 5770. Great stable system. Already ordered one for my brother since his mobo doesnt like the 5770 I got him. All in all, I recommend this to anyone.
- Cons: Weird placement of SATA ports.
- Other Thoughts: All in all...AWESOME mobo.
