5 out of 5 eggsa fine board

Pros: I bought this board to build a home server, and have had no issues from it during it's time. It is on 24x7 quietly going about its business. no complaints.

Cons: about the only con to this is it won't report installed RAM speed to dmidecode. No huge big deal

1 out of 5 eggsDo Not Buy This Mobo

Pros: It worked well for what i wanted it to do for about 4 months...

Cons: After that 4 months it crashed. Called Biostar and they tried blaming my ram at first but I knew it was good because i tested everything in my brothers computer and the motherboard was what was bad. So had to pay 25 bucks to send it off to them and waited about 6 or 7 weeks to get it back, had problems right when i got it back with blue screens and a lot of video card crashes which i did not have before i sent it. Finally got it working halfway decent (couldn't shut it down or else had to system restore when started back up) then two months later i am here with the same problem. Motherboard is bad and now have to pay to send it back again. Not very happy with biostar and wont be buying from them again.

2 out of 5 eggsMaterial problems

Pros: Cheap for a board than can unlock hidden cores. The system is very fast and responsive with Windows 7. Good support from Biostar.

Cons: The board seems to be of poor quality. Ethernet failed after a couple of months. Sent it to Biostar ($26) for repair. Came back with the same problem plus the audio dead. Even unable to reinstall both drivers because no devices on the board says Windows !!! So I'm still without my computer...

Other Thoughts: I took a chance with Biostar (first buy). I did the wrong thing. I should have stuck with Asus. Now I'm buying a new Asus board.

4 out of 5 eggsDOES NOT SUPPORT 6 CORE

Pros: I've purchased one previously and have owned for over 1 year now as well. The year old board is running great as well as all my Biostar motherboards as well. Will continue to purchase these as they have been fail-proof.

Cons: Does not support 6 core. Wish newegg's website correctly reflected more detailed info about the motherboard and I found out after the assembly of a new computer that it doesn't support 6 core. 4 out of 5 eggs for lack of 6 core support.

Other Thoughts: Newegg has done a tremendous job to process my RMA with return shipping label as well as process my replacement motherboard with overnight shipping. Still love the EGG !!!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!!!

Pros: First let me compliment newegg for selling open box items. $45 for this board, could not beat that on my budget.
I threw in 2GB of the Gaming Series Ram, a Phenom II x4 820, hooked up my old Ultra x2 Connect PSU, got into the BIOS, and everything checked out fine. Got ram up to 1500mhz, CPU to 3.180ghz. Running 3 days with no crashes!
The integrated graphics on this board is actually decent, averages 59fps on max settings in Counter Strike Source.

Cons: None if you don't need multi GPU's, otherwise get a board with 2 PCIe.

Other Thoughts: Great board, I am happy I made this choice.

5 out of 5 eggsRefined search and found this baby!

Pros: Perfect for a Mid/high range build! I built a 5870,3.2 ghz quad AMD pnm 3, 4gigs of adata 1600 ddr3, case,3 fans and a 600w pwr suppily for 680!! Plus PC's have WAY cheaper games on them on steam compared to consoles. Way better graphics and 10 times the entertainment options (hulu,youtube,ect..) This was THE BEST way to go by far!

Cons: None realy. CPU was an easy install, PCI card stays in tight, unit stays cool, easy overclocking...

Other Thoughts: THE WAY TO GO! Best budget build by far ive ever done

5 out of 5 eggsGreat budget board

Pros: I have had the board for a while now , It's over clocked, it has the Athlon II that is over clocked. I installed 8 gig of 1333 ram , for an operating system I have 7 enterprise. With I have had no problems with the board. I would recommended it to a friend for a budget build.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I did by a ATI 4650 graphic card do to some games I play and I run dual monitors.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board for the Price

Pros: Inexpensive, DDR3, AM3, 4 DDR3 DIMMS, On-board Radeon 3300 in case your standalone GPU dies, easy setup and overclocking features. Looks nice for a budget board.

Purchased this motherboard as an open-box. Everything works, and works as intended.

Have never really been a big fan of Biostar, however I decided to give this one a try since the price was right, most of the reviews were good, and it met the hardware requirements I needed for the build.

This is being used as a new "budget" build for my wife. I needed an inexpensive board that could run some of my old hardware and get her a "newer" PC that was not from the stone-age. (She was still running an old Pentium 4 2.8/AGP system).

This system this board is powering will be used for moderate gaming (Sims 3, MMORPG & RPG titles, and a few other mid-range games), at 1600x900, web, online media, flash games, graphic editing & design, video and audio editing.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Build details for this board:

Windows 7 Ultimate 64
AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition OC 3.6GHz
(CPU Tested fully unlockable to 3.8GHz on 4 cores Prime95 stable)
ATI HIS Radeon HD 4870 IceQ4+ Turbo 1GB 256-bit GDDR5
8GB A-Data DDR3 1600G Gaming RAM
Cooler Master 600 Watt PSU
1 SATA Optical Drive
1 External eSATA Drive and Controller

This motherboard is perfect for what I needed. The on-board video is nice in case the 4870 ever fails, the on-board audio and Gb LAN both function perfectly. Plenty of room for standalone cards if needed.

Just a single PCIe X16 2.0 slot, so no Crossfire (except hybrid with the on-board). However, for what the system will be used for, this is not a concern.

My open-box purchase came with the original box, book, driver CD, 2 SATA cables, 1 IDE cable, and the back-plate. Not bad at all. I always have large quantities of hardware on-hand so missing parts is not a problem, hence why I like open-box items.
