5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good board for good $. Has everything one might need to keep up with demanding speeds. Rig: AMD Phenom II X4 925w | NVidia GTX260 | 2 HDD on Sata 3 & 2 HDD on SATA 2 | 750W PS

Cons: Wish it had one more USB 3 port but not really a con... they have PCI cards for those you know :)

4 out of 5 eggsawesome! and for a great price

Pros: great for a low priced gaming system, worked great since the first day i got it,

Cons: none that i have ran into yet maybe could have had another pci slot because my radeon 6770 video card goes to the pci 2 gen and 1 of the normal pci slots, but still is awesome.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this to anyone making a low budget gaming Pc.

2 out of 5 eggsstay away

Pros: Cheap
worked well for a little while

Cons: BIOS Issues
not very stable

Other Thoughts: First month was fine, I was even able to stably overclock a x4 830 to 3.2 Ghz. then one day while idling my PC freezes and now any attempt to overclock or even make other random changes in the bios cause the board to be unable to p.o.s.t. Clearing the cmos is the only remedy I've found. If I don't touch anything it runs fine but if that's what I wanted I would have bought a Mac. I'm not going to bother RMAing it(I want to play SWTOR), Ill just going to replace it with a better one in a few months, NOT a Biostar.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat budget board

Pros: Fast for a budget build
Decent OC'ing features
Core unlocker
price - it was free with my x2 560BE, now turned x4

Cons: uHH... 8Gb Max RAM? Only dual channel? LOL
Other then that, none so far, we'll see how it goes... *knocks on wood*

Other Thoughts: AMD Phenom II x2 560 Black Edition (now a quad core)
Biostar A780L3G motherboard
4Gb (2Gb x 2) Kingston ValueRAM, (8Gb 4Gb x 2) Ballistix on its way
Dell's NVidia 8800GTX brick
500Gb 7200rpm IDE Seagate HDD (OS, overkill, I know)
500Gb 7200rpm SATA WD Green HDD (data)
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
LG Flatron 20" LED LCD monitor
Logitech x-530 5.1 surround
cheap Inland wireless keyboard and mouse (works good for what it is)

3 out of 5 eggsnice little board-NO UNLOCKING

Pros: Dropped it in and it booted. Has solid stat caps. runs well.

Cons: BIOUNLOCK is flawed. I have a 555 BE phenom II and a 560 BE Phenom II both of them unlock 4 cores and are stable with prime 95 in my other motherboard. This one fails biounlocking on both of them. Also every time I change a setting in bios it will not boot unless I power down the system 3 or 4 times. This is frustrating.

Other Thoughts: this is my first biostar mobo and will probably be my last because of the flawed BIOS. It is a nice little board for the price but they should not advertise core unlocking if it is broken. I updated the BIOS to 78LBP926 hoping the biounLOCK feature would be fixed but still the same thing.

5 out of 5 eggsThe difference between the B and the G

Pros: In case you're wondering what the difference between this motherboard and the A780L3B is, it's the VRM's. Check the pictures, this motherboard has 4 and the L3B variant has three, which seems to indicate better stability and potentially better overclocks. This is also illustrated by the recommended TDP of 125W in contrast to the B's 95W.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I own the AM2+ variant A780L which has an FSB wall of 260 on my Thuban.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent budget board

Pros: Has the features you need to run a media or gaming budget system.

Not sure whats the difference between the 6.0 and 6.1 revisions. The board I have doesn't have the coil transistors near the VRMS, has the block kind.

Has a massive vdroop but you expect that on a budget mATX motherboard. The max overlclock for this board is around 3.4 3.5 on a X4 925.

Cons: The con is the Northbridge heatsink runs super hot and you will need fans or a case with airflow to keep the temps down.

May be a problem down the road..

5 out of 5 eggsGreat entry level board

Pros: It has DVI, VGA and IDE internal ports.

I installed six of these this year. No failures at all.

Graphics is good enough for normal home use.
I used an HDMI adapter on one with no problems. You have to load all the related drivers.

Cons: I have no complaints so far.
I have used X2, X4 and X6 cpu's with this board.

Other Thoughts: I think it is a great board for the average home or small business user.

1 out of 5 eggsGood for a while

Pros: Nice onboard everything, price.

Cons: Networking completely died in less than 9 months.

Other Thoughts: No excuse for something dying in less than 9 months.
