5 out of 5 eggsWorks as advertised!

Pros: Bought this to upgrade my old computer. Paired it with 8GB of ram and a new Core i3. This was my first experience with replacing a motherboard, and everything went smoothly. Came with up to date BIOS. They try to get you to pay to use their online driver scanner, but they can be downloaded for free.

Cons: Have to mess with the BIOS to get the memory to run at the correct speed.

Other Thoughts: Overall I am very satisfied with this purchase.

1 out of 5 eggsBiostar B75MU3+ gets no stars and should get no eggs

Pros: It had everything I wanted for a budget price.

Cons: It was DOA. The thing just beeps 6 times shuts downs and repeats. Biostar's customer support consists of very unhelpful emails. I won't be buying anything from them again.

3 out of 5 eggsIt was good until. . . .

Pros: Supports up to 1600 MHz, PCI Express 3.0, quad channel up to 32GB, future proof.

Cons: It broke after around 6 weeks. I went to turn it one today for a little gaming to find it wouldn't show up on screen, I checked to make sure it was properly assembled and powered and toyed with it for an additional hour and a half with no luck.

Other Thoughts: It was a rare thing am I'm not sure of the actual cause. It was a good first time motherboard, I built my first system with it and it IS VERY simplistic and small. So for that reason, I would give it 4 stars, but knocked one off for failing.
Well I was looking to upgrade soon so I can only take this as an incentive.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Relatively stable mainboard for the price (then again, I'm not OC'ing). Took 8GB RAM with no hiccups, running Win 7/64 with no problems...all drivers loaded and working.

Cons: "BIOScreen" software didn't work, kept reducing my chosen images to 32x32 pixels (useless!); process kept hanging. Perhaps it doesn't play well with Win7 64-bit?

1 out of 5 eggsOk when it works

Pros: Nice feature set, looks pretty. Works fine as long as you don't have to reboot.

Cons: Not sure if I got a lemon or what, but my board will work fine after booting, but a reboot will cause it to randomly shut off. I set my system to reboot nightly so this is a real pain, since about 1 out of every 4 nights it won't come back up. Emailed tech support and we traded a few emails, then they stopped responding to me. Outside the newegg return window so guess I have to eat the cost and replace it with something that is not Biostar. Every manufacturer is going to occasionally have problems, but no excuse for ignoring customer support emails.

5 out of 5 eggsMy Pc Build

Pros: I did my first build with this mother board, I have to say so far working just great. I have and i3 2100 CPU, and 32 gigs of memory, I have a 2500 gig.dual hard drives. Using windows 7 Pro. 64bit. I use it for movies and graphics. works just fine. Will be up grading the CPU to i7 3770 for the graphics. then it's complete. But the motherboard works great, and when I had a couple of user related problems I email Bio-star support and they got back to me with help.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: For the money I spent I am very pleased.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat budget Micro ATX Board

Pros: Affordable
Ivy & Sandy bridge compatible
USB 3.0
PCI 3.0
SATA 6gb/s
4 RAM slots

Cons: The CPU lever can be tricky to get down but that's really nit picking.

Other Thoughts: Great board for the price. Has all the basics needed for a simple, fast setup. I'm running a Core i3 off an SSD and it works great for internet browsing and stock trading.

3 out of 5 eggsMust Update Bios

Pros: SATA 6Gb/s and USB 3.0, plenty of display jack options, and a jack for digital audio

Cons: Maxes out at two-displays even though the processor can support three displays.
Also, if you intend to use the onboard video be sure the Bios is updated. Mine was delivered with an out-of-date bios which caused 3D acceleration to hang and force a reboot. updating was easy and fixed the problem.
Only 1 SATA 6Gb/s port - better than none
