5 out of 5 eggsCPU INCLUDED

Pros: powerful for the size. easily configured by ubuntu. runs xp(all versions) vista/home prem. SEEMS faster than dual core atom. based on athlon architecture. loads of USB ports(headers, about 8-10) firewire on rear panel plus one header for total of 2 possible.

Cons: order memory separately or see Jetway web site for mem. power requirements. only 1gb max possible highly recommend using low-profile if possible.

Other Thoughts: i have used this thing for videolan plays dvds flawless. as i said above check mem requirements 333/400 fsb is supported. i DO NOT advise using this board for the voom pc car case mine was a disaster and wasted over $350 to end with case in trash.

5 out of 5 eggsBuild number 2

Pros: I liked the first one so well I am building a second one.
Very fast and low power consumption.
Excellent array of i/o 2 SATA, one ide, fire wire and usb with built in lan.
On board video OK. Onboard sound ok.
AMD GEODE is very capable cpu.
Presently running gOS gagets with this Jetway motherboard combo.

Cons: Could use one more memory slot.

Other Thoughts: Newegg is an excellent supplier fast and courteous.
Jetway combo very complete with all the i/o you could want.
Very low power consumption with AMD geode.

5 out of 5 eggsLow power...Hi performance

Pros: Cpu has very low power consumption.
Entire board power use very low while performance is very hi.
Best low power, hi performance set up I have used.
The AMD geode is a very capable processor and works very well with the sis chipsets.

Cons: Would be nice to have one more memory slot.

Other Thoughts: I have used other low power cpus and platforms, but only the AMD geode gives you full performance for so little power used.
System runs well with linux, solaris, and unix and can even run windows me.

3 out of 5 eggsNice, but SATA port failed

Pros: Installed Ubuntu 8.04 server without a problem. The system was stable for about a week.

Cons: Fan was louder than I would have liked.
One SATA port did not work (never recognized by BIOS).
The other port seemed to work, but I ended up with massive file system corruption after a week of operation.
I discovered in testing that file system corruption was occurring right after mkfs. This behavior was intermittent.

Other Thoughts: The system I built using a APEX MI-100 case with 250W PS and 80GB WD SATA harddrive ended up drawing 47 Watts at idle (no CDROM drive was installed). I was hoping for a lower power draw at idle but I presume that power supply was not very efficient. Understandable for such an inexpensive case. I ended up going with a Jetway J8F9 nanoITX board and a 16GB CF card. Total power load is 9 watts at idle.

3 out of 5 eggs1.4Mhz

Pros: First of all I haven't actually purchased this product. I am interested in utilizing it for a CarPC.... However, I just had to clear the air about the processing power of an AMD Geode NX 1750... it's not 1.4Mhz... I could break out an Atari 2600 for some competition if that were the case. Its 1.4GHz, comsumes 25 watts and runs at 1.25 core operating voltage.

Cons: Hell I don' t know since I don't own one. However, see below for other important specs

Other Thoughts: For CarPC applications this particular geode processor is based on the forever famous socket 462 (or A if you will) that the mobile athlon XP's were created from. If you fancy an upgrade to this motherboard trackdown a mobile barton 2400... thats good for a lil more wattage at 35 and will plug right in. If you got the juice and memory support 3.1Ghz has been reached.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice

Pros: Very fast for size and thermal rating. Socket A allows for 3rd party CPU heatsink. Can boot from USB devices for limited system (ie no internal CDROM). SATA cables are much nicer when working in mini-itx cases. Everything, including sensors, works in Gentoo linux.

Cons: 1GB max memory. CPU heatsink slightly noisy.

Other Thoughts: Bought this to make a services server (DNS, NTP, RSYNC, etc - not file serving). The CPU fan was a little noisy, but I have a Rosewell heatsink coming that should be quieter. And of course, Newegg service rocked.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: geode processor uses little power small form factor addons available for DVI

Cons: wont boot from pcmcia/cf addon (not sold at newegg) bios has few boot options very odd layout if used with certain carpc cases.

Other Thoughts: built this into a carpc MAJOR changes were needed layout of board required many special orders and custom parts case required major modding. still not sure on some of the changes.
overall its a good board performance wise i cant fault it maybe a larger memory capacity say 2GB.?? the video is shared..

5 out of 5 eggsSpecs That aren't listed

Pros: Price, Performance, and Power useage

Cons: None compared to other ITX Boards

Other Thoughts: Some things you might want to know, but that aren't stated in the specs on Newegg - The Geode Processor is based on the Athlon XP line and shares most of it's architecture. It is 100% pin compatible with socket A/462 pin motherboards. The SiS Mirage Graphics support up to 128MB shared video ram. I had to look long and hard for the Mirage Graphics specs, so I know someone else must be curious.
