5 out of 5 eggsLast of the NForce4 boards

Pros: It works! And you know what? For an nforce 4 board it's not that bad, it's not an 8-layer dinosaur with traces to spare, but it's cheap, SLI and has nice touches in the box, I/O shield, driver disk that is actually useful, a gigabit NIC and a 100 NIC, it also supports USB power-on, it also has a debug LED. The BIOS is typical AWARD, even a noob can fiddle with it safely, it has ez-boot (pick what device you want to boot with one time only..instead of having to set it in the bios multiple times). Even better the southbridge chipset low-height HSF is relatively quiet. They can be annoying.

Cons: The manual is a badly photocopied image of the board with the parts of the board labeled in the margins and arrows pointing to the board. I think of it like a treasure map to computing booty. At least it has exactly the information you need, just know what you are doing and you'll be fine.

Other Thoughts: The RAM slots aren't color-coded correctly, so noobs might put the RAM in the wrong slots and their treasure map manual won't help them when the machine won't boot. Put dual channel RAM in slots next to each other, 1-2 or 3-4, a-ok. This mobo is powering a 7800GTX 2G and AMD X2 for a gaming LAN, it's doing it's job well so far!

4 out of 5 eggsGood Case

Pros: I had a socket 939 just laying around and not being so i decided to buid a new computer with that cpu. Choices on socket 939 tech is rather slim these so i was forced to go with a no-name brand. I must admit i was leary that this board would work based on other reviews. Turns out that this board was easy to install and performs great. Glad this risk paid off.

Cons: No manual and only minimal accessories shipped with it.

Other Thoughts: The board was slighlty bended when it arrived but it didnt have any ill effects on the mobo.

1 out of 5 eggsMind-numbingly Terrible

Pros: It is a motherboard with an acceptable layout (being derived from an EVGA SLi board design). It worked at least part of the time and deserves 1 egg for that.

Cons: The motherboard (with rev 2.2 printed on it) arrived with no SLi bridge, and no manual to speak of. Instead of a manual, there was simply an 8.5x11 piece of paper with a black-and-white picture of the motherboard on it. I needed to download a manual to an EVGA board (which this board seems almost completely copied off of) in order to figure out where to plug in the right cable headers. The chipset fan was jammed in by piece of metal covering it. Even after un-jamming it, the chipset reached a temperature of 90 degrees Celsius during normal operation. The BIOS was terrible and often crashed on me or loaded a page halfway with text and then stopped. The system actually booted into windows successfully only about half of the time. The board simply could not boot up with more than 2 memory modules installed. It finally quit on me after about a week of use.

Other Thoughts: Judging by the terrible quality of this product, I doubt that this is even a licensed copy of the EVGA design. The recent price hike on this motherboard is simply hilarious. If I had the choice to buy this again, I wouldn't pay five dollars. With the amount of agonizing frustration that this motherboard has given me (a seasoned system builder by now), I can safely say that this motherboard really is that terrible.

1 out of 5 eggsRAM slots DOA TWICE

Pros: It turned on

Cons: I got this mobo in order to upgrade for not to much money. I got it and it would not read 2 different sets of RAM. RMA'd it, got a new one and same problem. The sticks i used work on 3 other computers.

Other Thoughts: DO NOT GET THIS MOBO!!!!!

4 out of 5 eggsJetWay J939GT4-SLI-G 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Not too pricey, the CPU socket is far enough away from the edge to not be a problem with my PS. The board seems pretty stable so far... had it a little over a month..... The BIOS is pretty straight forward.. I like the PCIE layout... and the layout in general. I also like the 4 fan sockets on the board.

Cons: The chipset fan could be a little farther from the video socket. I am running a 7950GX2 and it hangs over the fan. The utility disc also did not work... It would be nice if Jetway put the software on their website... but it wasnt a show stopper...

Other Thoughts: Overall a decent board... I have a Jetway V266B that was actually my first BMOPC from scratch.. and it still works like a champ with a XP1600 in it...

5 out of 5 eggswhat a great board

Pros: works well with an Opty 170 on xp home and Ubuntu.

Cons: jetway 939

Other Thoughts: 79 clams a week ago, then 89, now 95 clams. lets start a pool and see who can guess when this board hits 109 clams. for a jetway 939 ? lol would make a jetway 754, 500 clams. and a jetway socket A, priceless. my guess, this jetway 939 hits 109 clams by march 12. and worth every penny.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Great! Overall Im happy with what i paid for it.

Pros: revived my 939 set up and is a better mobo than my last one (winfast foxxconn). lots of overclocking features! 3 pcix slots + a 1x pcix. havent tried to overclock it yet. sure it will do fine. came with high quality sata cables. price point!

Cons: 939 platform. only supports ddr1. only supports 8x pcix if you run sli. some interfence on audio when cd player is reading discs (high pitched wyneing noise, can barely hear it though). didnt come with sli bridge or manual, also the error display block by the bios on modo is not there (very miss leading!).

Other Thoughts: have a x2 3800+, zotac 8800gt, and 2gb of corsair 3day shipping through newegg!

3 out of 5 eggsok

Pros: i bought this as a replacement for my old mobo that broke, it works ok for a simple mobo i bleave it would work out ok no real gaming tho.

Cons: for advanced users not so much, when i got it i had 500gb drive as my main and a 200gb with my backup info on it i installed the new os on the 500gb then hooked up the 200gb, well i tryed booting would not boot from my main drive checked all settings still had nothing. finally i figured out that i cannot have any usb drives or hdds besides the 500gb or it will not boot. also when hitting f12 to go into boot menu i could not use my usb keyboard only a ps2.

1 out of 5 eggsDoD. what can i say?

Pros: 0. looks nice, would of worked very nice if....

Cons: it was Dead on Delivery. when pluged into the power supply, nothing lighted up (NIC light, ect.) there was no boot in this motherboard. put my old mobo back in (Machspeed board newegg used to sell) and worked fine.

Other Thoughts: just wanted to upgrade to SLI, guess that didnt happen.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad for Sparse 939 Pickings

Pros: Seems very stable out of the box, with no unusual traits at all.
It seems like a reference design as it looks just like the EVGA boards the Egg used to sell, and the NB fan says nVidia on it, with no other markings other than a model number sticker.

Cons: Did not ship with SLI bridge as manual says it's supposed to include, but a quick call to the Egg fixes this, and an additional 2 days later it arrives on your doorstep. Why they don't just throw one in every remaining box is beyond me.

Other Thoughts: With hardly any 939 SLI full ATX boards to choose from anymore, this certainly isn't bad. When my old Biostar board got fried by my Antec NeoHE550 when it kicked the bucket, this was the only suitable replacement any of the top 4 online retail companies were selling (Egg;ZZF;MW;TD).
