3 out of 5 eggsNot for your first build.

Pros: Cheap price. Onboard video capability. Can use 64-bit Core2 CPUs. Well suited for the niche it fills in the builder mobo market.

Cons: No quick install guide or other such technical documentation. You're expected to figure out for yourself from the print on the board and configuration of pins what header is what. And the print by the front panel header took some hard looking with my nearly 50 year old eyeballs to see which wire went to which pin when it was in the case.

Using the onboard VGA port, scrolling within a large photo is super choppy with 2 Gb ram to max out the 32-bit XP it's running.

Other Thoughts: This board is sort of a niche item among system builder mobos. Not well enough documented for somebody's first system build project, but too low-end for the good computer you'll want to build after.

My first build was done on the cheap to make sure I could do it before spending the money on parts for a good one. When that computer died, I got this mobo to go with a Core2 Quad CPU and a 32-bit Win-XP Home retail I had sitting around so my roommate would have a desktop internet machine. For what he does, it's quite adequate.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent board

Pros: CHEAP! Yeah thats why I bought it.

Cons: Long video cards will block the front panel connectors. Its just about impossible to turn on my computer with a GTX 260. Also a dual slot card will block two out of the four SATA ports. I cannot get sleep to work correctly at all..

Other Thoughts: I bought this to be a placeholder until I can pick up a better board. I didn't expect much and thats what I got. Its getting the job done until I find a better 775 board. I know most people probably won't be using large GPUs with this mobo but I STRONGLY suggest against buying this if you have a full size card.

2 out of 5 eggs2nd. times the charm

Pros: Second one is still running for a week and a half now.

Cons: First one started getting intermittent shutdowns every few minutes after about 6 months of use. RoHS strikes again.

The bios is different than the first one. The current bios won't let you adjust vcore voltage, even though it's still advertised as having that feature.
Only the current bios is on the Jetway website so no hope of reflashing back.

4 out of 5 eggsReiterating what was already said

Pros: I have already made my review, but I felt inclined to add to what someone had already said because I also had the same issue. See "other thoughts." You can also see my prior review.

Cons: Requires a slight workaround with vid card, as someone mentioned.

Other Thoughts: People have mentioned issues with installing vid cards after its already up and running. This is true. I finally got a vid card, and plugged it in, and when it was plugged in, I got nothing from every port, even on board. I remembered the prior review, and I took the vid card out, used the CMOS jumper to reset the BIOS, plugged in the new vid card, and voila! up and running in seconds. I just wanted to make sure and mirror what the other guy already said since I had that exact same issue and I'm glad he posted something. He helped me avoid a lot of headaches.

Just remember to either plug in your vid card before you get started with this thing, or just remember to use your cmos jumper to reset the bios and then plug it in. Be sure you put your BIOS setting back after :-)

5 out of 5 eggsDecent Board, Great Price

Pros: - IT WORKS
- fairly easy install
- winflash included in the driver cd
- fast boot
- fairly large amount of BIOS features.
- CMOS jumper tool is fairly handy

Cons: - Tight fit (although thats more of a tower problem)
- not enough auxiliary plugs (but that also depends on the tower)

Other Thoughts: Hard to figure out how to access the BIOS menu. Usually with most boards, it's the function keys, or one of them, but in this case it appears to be the Delete key, and it has little or no notification on when it should be pressed.

1 out of 5 eggsJetWay = bad

Pros: Cheap

Cons: High failure rate; inconsistent performance; "finicky" BIOS

Other Thoughts: We purchased 5 of these. 1 was DOA. 2 went bad in the first 1 month. Another web bad at about the 3 month mark. All of them have had to have BIOS reflashes after locking up. JetWay has never responded to my calls and e-mails. NewEgg was great about replacing the first 3, but now I'm shafted as they continue to go bad. I will never buy a JetWay product again and I would suggest anyone who wants a solid product to look elsewhere.
