2 out of 5 eggsGot one with burnt out usb ports.

Pros: Price. Instructions. Booted right up.

Cons: USB ports stopped working and then burnt out some of my USB devices. Thankfully I did not have my Smartphone hooked up to it.

Other Thoughts: If I was not RMA'ing it, I would probably never get this one again. However NewEgg as always is topnotch in their service and helpfulness. Not their fault a company messed up.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks for me in Ubuntu Gutsy

Pros: Works, works, works. This is my first build, and video, audio, NIC, USB, front USB, front sound all work. With 2 gigs of ram and a 2gig, dual core processor (AMD), I get the spiffy, wiggly Compiz effects. It fit into my case, and layout appears sensible. (I had a problem with the front sound, which I wrote about in my review of the HEC case, but got it working since.) I'm a happy guy.

Cons: Like, the contacts for the power LED, HDD LED, power switch, reset switch aren't standardized - but all the stuff that's been added since then, IS standardized. I've been messing around with computers for eighteen years. Couldn't they get this together by now?

Other Thoughts: And, as long as I'm whining, can Newegg please allow me to have the stuff shipped to a drop point? Having to be home for delivery is a pain.

5 out of 5 eggsAsRock AliveF6G-Vista

Pros: Recognized all my parts flawlessly...no blue screens...really fast boot...has been rolling right along since my install...my son and I have been playing games with no problems...I would highly recommend this board if you just need a good light board...for you enthusiasts, please remember that...

Cons: None so far...

Other Thoughts: I was pleased to find out that AsRock used to be a subsidiary of ASUS...which the explains the fine construction, stability and performance of the board...thats why I decided to give it a shot...I wanted to keep the costs of my light gaming rig down...

4 out of 5 eggsAsrock, pain in the **

Pros: Lots of features that i was looking for. 7.1 Audio, sataII, four channels of ram, extended AM2 support, and onboard video.

Cons: Did not come with updated bios for the AMD 5400. Would have been a real pain if i did not have another amd 4200 laying around which was compatible.

Other Thoughts: I hate having to put extended amounts of time into trivial stuff like updating a bios. I hate doing that s***. I have zero patients dealing with small stuff like that, that should already be updated.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: My Setup: AMD Athlon 64 x2 5000+ @ 3 GHz, 500W PSU, Corsair 2GB XMS2 @ 866 MHz, XFX 512mb 8600GT & this mobo.

5 out of 5 eggsGood n' stable

Pros: Awesome board. I did a build for my mom and it went smoothly. ASROCK ROCKS!! My first build and I didn't run into any problems whatsoever. HD audio sounds brilliant and the on-board video is awesome for what you pay.

Cons: None, great mobo.

Other Thoughts: I jammed a 6000+ in this board, put 4gigs ddr2 ram in, a 250GB Seagate HDD and put Windows XP sp2 on it. Everything works perfect, my mom loves it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: This is a great board, dont let the price fool you. I have used 5 of these, all overclock great and are very stable. I have gotten my 4200's to 3ghz on these, and my 4000's to 2.75 and they all run stable at FULL LOAD 24/7. Pair these with a brisbane, any brisbane, any you can have one hell of a machine for not much money. I am thinking about switching my Gigabyte GA-m690g-s3h to one of these. These oc better, and my gigabyte has proved a pain in the ***, for more money!

Cons: None yet I've used the onboard video, lan, sound and everything has passed my expectations from a microatx board

Other Thoughts: If you want to put together budget rigs but not sacrifice performance, this is THE choice. I have had great luck with all 5 i have purchased, all run flawlessly overclocked or stock. Great buy newegg, now drop the price a few bucks and ill get more

5 out of 5 eggsHow about that!

Pros: Onboard video shows up as 512 meg! First invidea chipset board I've owned(ati fanboy), everything went super smotth. It even plays crysis. I'm very impressed, other machine is k9a2 with x2600xt for hd output, I built this for streaming movies to bedroom wirelesslly from shared network drives and playing thru vga on a Magnovox 26 lcd, works flawllesslly, great picture. Installed in a thermaltake lanboy lite with two gigs of kingston hyperx 1066 ddr2. I dropped a amd x2 am2 6000+ 125 watt chip on it and handling it very well. I have a phenon 9500 in the box, should I try it?

Cons: I hear northbridge runs hot, mine runs moderate, but I purchased a 40 mm fan just in case, will add later just for protection.

Other Thoughts: all in all a really sloid , smooth board, I'm very impressed, hmm, maybe a new invidia fan here.
