4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: -Very good layout
-Unlocked my x3 740 to an x4 first try
-crossfire support
-ddr3 1600 support
-integrated graphics are decent (using onboard while my HD 5770 is with XFX for RMA)

Cons: -The DVI on my board is dead
-Board feels kinda flimsy when installing ram

Other Thoughts: Replacing a dead gigabyte 790xt-ud4p

Very good board overall, especially for the price (half of what I paid for the 790xt and with at least equal if not better performence.)

5 out of 5 eggsTHE Board for < $100

Pros: This is my 3rd ASRock build... The second with this board.

* Gobs of SATA II headers
* Built-in e-SATA
* Fantastic on-board audio and video - Love the Sideport!
* EIDE, Floppy and SATA cables included
* AMI BIOS with ACC - Plenty of tweaks available.
* Nicely designed. Looks good. Stays cool.
* Energy Saver and OC Tuner are decent.

Cons: The 90 degree internal SATA headers might be a problem with some cases. Just take your time and plan ahead for cable management.

Ships with outdated BIOS, but fixed easily with a quick trip to the ASRock web site.

1 year warranty.

Other Thoughts: First build was with an AMD Phenom II 955(BE). This one has unlocked the other 2 cores on a 555(BE).

I can't find anything seriously wrong with this board.

5 out of 5 eggsThis board Rocks

Pros: I popped in an AMD Phenom II X3 3.0Mhz chip on this board and it allowed me to unlock the 4th core as well as overclock it to 3300 running cool with no issues.

I like the dummy proof color scheme.

I have not upgraded my desktop system for 6 years and it is great to see a manufacturesr manual as detailed as this one. (I am not an early adopter obviously)

I purchased this board for the firewire header to transfer my camcorder video to disk.

The 7.1 onboard audio works great.

The onboard video is not too shabby and runs most newer games with no issue.

The board is inexpensive compared to other boards that have the same features. Has more features than some expensive boards.

Well laid out and easy for my fat fingers to get to everything with no problem.

The software that came with the board is excellent for tweakers.

Cons: None for an older board.

Other Thoughts: This board with the unlocked AMD Phenom II x3 should last me another 5-7 years before I upgrade again.

I am using this mostly for recording music/studio computer.

Cudos to New Egg for the quick shipping. I've had issues in the past, but it seems they have shipping and returns down to a science now.

5 out of 5 eggsReally good for the money

Pros: This board has many features for the cash. It has a pretty decent bios, solid state caps, and very good onboard sound. I unlocked my 550 BE to a quad and bumped the speed up to 3.5, can't seem to get it much more than that. I have not tried my other unlockable BE in this board, it runs at 3.6. Honestly I don't really feal the need. I have 2 4850's X-fired on this MB and it handles it just fine. Really fast gaming rig for the dough.

Cons: It's not a DFI Lanparty

Other Thoughts: All in all a really nice experience with this board. I have absolutely had it with creative cards, so I stayed with the onboard sound. Using the digital out to a Yamaha surround and the sound is awesome. Good luck to all that buy one, for the cake you can't beat it.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Dirt cheap. Fairly easy to install.

Cons: First motherboard was DOA. Would power on for a second then immediately power off. No visible signs of damage. Swapped out motherboard and it worked like a charm. Filed for an RMA and am about to ship it out the door.

Other Thoughts: Will revise review once I get it back. I used ASRock for another motherboard bill, so they DO work. It's just disappointing when they don't. Given the price, though, I reckon the headache is still worth it.

1 out of 5 eggsStill A Bad Board...

Pros: Design =) but thats about it, see cons and thoughts....

Cons: RMA it and got a new one... works fine at first and then when i start downloading rar files it was always CRC Failed messages... First i thought it was a bad ram but it turns out that the board was the main cause of this...

Other Thoughts: I change for another brand board "Gigabyte 880gm-ud2h" bought it from a nearby pc parts stor... Did download rar files again and nothing was wrong no more CRC Failed messages. I just change the board thats it problem solve... Coud'nt RMA it now... Learned my mistake here so people please buy a trusted/reliable brand products even though you have to spend a little bit more for it, but its worth it....

5 out of 5 eggsGood features

Pros: Nice motherboard.

Lots of features, lots of options in BIOS. Plenty of room for expansion.

Decent integrated video card, will drive Blu-Ray with no problem at 1080p. Even better, it will still run if you plug in a PCI-Express card. A lot of motherboards don't let them run simultaneously.

Cons: Some minor BIOS oversights.

1. Only two modes for power-on after power outage: on and off. Does not have "last power status." Very annoying if you turn off your computer, and experience power outages.

2. Floppy drive is on by default. Should be off by default in this day-and-age.

The 90-degree turn for the 4 SATA ports should've shipped loose, as a separate part -- to let you choose.

Other Thoughts: Previous reviewers mentioned that you need BIOS update to run Phenom II x6 at full speed. Not anymore -- now ships out-of-the-box with support in the BIOS.

5 out of 5 eggsM3A785GXH/128M Motherboard

Pros: GREAT price. Easy Installation and Setup. Posted on first attempt. Didn't need any BIOS updates to boot quickly and properly. ALL features worked perfectly (see Cons). Great software for drivers and monitoring system performance. Runs cool. Sideport Rocks!

Cons: This is my second board - The first had to be returned because of on-board video failure.

Other Thoughts: Overclocked easily to 3.52 Mhz through provided software.

System:
This motherboard
Phenom II 955 (BE)
G-Skill 10666 RAM (2 x 2 GB ) DDR3 1600
