4 out of 5 eggsNice basic board

Pros: Nice basic board with builtin graphics card

Cons: Chipset heatsink right behind the PCI-E-1x slot, which makes that slot quite unusable

1 out of 5 eggsMy unit didn't come with the Rear I/O panel shield.

Pros: Read the cons.

Cons: This one suppose to come with the rear I/O panel shield like the pictures on newegg but I looked everywhere, but I never found one.

Other Thoughts: If it wasn't for the missing back panel shield I would've fire this thing on and start using it by now.

5 out of 5 eggsIS NOT MADE FOR SEMPRON

Pros: More USB slots, better built in graphics, just plain an update to the 6400 i had before.

Cons: None from the boards point of view, its an outdated model but its good for low income people like me to whom its a vast improvement.

Other Thoughts: Someone needs to change the CPU compatibility chart cause even Nvidia.com says it doesnt work with SemPron, luckily i bought an Athlon II Dual Core right after this Motherboard.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as advertised

Pros: -- Cheap for what it offers
-- Raid 5
-- AM2
-- DDR2 memory

Cons: Wish it had more SATA ports

Other Thoughts: Bought this to throw in an old Sempron Dual x2300 and 3 gig of DDR2 memory. Using it in my media server. Didn't need aot of bells and whistles. Just wish it had more SATA ports. There is another board newegg offers that has 6 SATA ports but has been out of stock for a while now.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat budget Motherboard

Pros: Great budget board for anybody wanting a motherboard that supports the high HT frequency of an AM3 processor.

Great motherboard for use in a business environment or all-purpose computer.

Onboard graphics gets the job done but is far from a high performance chipset.

Decent configuration options in BIOS, but nothing fancy.

No big heat sinks, no awesome designs, supports AM3 CPU's.

D-SUB/DVI ports.

Cons: Build quality isn't the highest selling point of this board by any means. The PCB isn't flimsy, however it's just not something I'd use for a high performance gaming rig.

Onboard video chipset is outdated. (nVidia GeForce 8200).

Wouldn't use this board for gaming at all without the use of an add-on graphics card. Legacy games will play just fine. Simple-user activities will be fine, but don't expect this to be a champ when it comes to graphics intensive applications.

It does basic tasks flawlessly, however.

One thing that stands out is the lack of quality heatsinks for the chipset.

This board only has two DIMM slots, so don't expect to be using 8GB of ram with a 4x2GB configuration, you'll be forking out the money for 2x4GB DDR2-800 if you want to run 8GB. This was disappointing.

There's not a lot of room between the DIMM slots and the CPU, so don't plan on using a large bulky aftermarket CPU cooler without low profile RAM. It'll be a tight fit.

Other Thoughts: I would use this board again for a customer all-purpose computer that wasn't used for gaming.

It's definitely outdated by todays standards, but it gets the job done. It MAY support DDR-1066, but I wouldn't claim the best stability with that RAM speed. I used 667 RAM clocked at 800, without any problems.

Would make an excellent first-time system builder's motherboard, it's cheap - has onboard video, and isn't a pile of junk. Decent for a budget system.

1 out of 5 eggsMight work great / Might not

Pros: Booted right up with no issues / ran like a champ for 20 days

Cons: Died on the 21st day / booted up and was surfing the net / crashed / won't power (not even fans) / too late to rma it back to newegg, so i'll just be eating this one and hope the foxconn board i'm ordering will live longer

Other Thoughts: checked the power supply (and other parts) in another computer and they were fine / i have another asrock board in my main computer that is working well / maybe i just got a bad one / still like asrock boards, but i'll be ordering another brand for this pc

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price.

Pros: Great features for the price. AMD 6core compatible.
2600MHz Hyper Transport (5200 MT/s)
Woks great and suspends well with Linux.
Very flexable settings in bios.

Cons: Heat sink blocks pciex1 port.

Other Thoughts: Knocked an egg off for the heat sink issue. I ordered some thermal compound and removed the heat sink and cut off the bottom row of fins. Then replaced it. I have a fan on the side of the case pointing at that area and I haven't had any problems so far. GPU temp stays around 50-60C. Same as before the surgery.
