5 out of 5 eggsGreat little motherboard

Pros: Has everything I needed--lots of sata connections and lga 1155 socket support. ASRock website is easy to find drivers and software.

Cons: None that I can think of.

1 out of 5 eggsAsrock has bad support

Pros: cheap, may continue working.

Cons: better hope this sub-par junk doesn't have a problem. The tech support and RMA process from these clowns is useless.

Other Thoughts: I will never buy Asrock again. Cheap carp.

1 out of 5 eggsworst mobo ever and costumer service

Pros: none

Cons: Worst mobo ever died within one year and i contacted them 3 weeks prior to my 1 year waranty. Asrock did not contact me until i posted a review on it on newegg. When they finally contacted me i got my RMA but they want me to pay an extra 50$ for some kind of fee. This was the first ASROCK mobo i've bought and it's my last due to poor costumer service.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Sorry to hear that the mainboard has malfunctioned within a year which’s due to nature of electronic product, it can happen
Please trouble shooting the mainboard for below steps with known good components;
Turn the power off.
Remove the mainboard from inside computer to outside, place the mainboard on top of the empty mainboard’s box
Clear the CMOS
Test with single memory module (non-ECC, un-buffered), try with another known good memory if its same issue.
Plug monitor to onboard VGA (CPU with iGPU supported or test with VGA card)
Plug the 24 pins + 8 or 4 pins ATX power to the mainboard
Plug the computer case’s power switch to mainboard's front panel power header and try again

1 out of 5 eggsUndependable

Pros: The price was right. And I had bought a different ASRock model for home use that held up well to high heat with a celeron CPU for use with an elderly user who justed needed a PC to occasionally surf & shop. Previously I had only bought Gigabyte boards

Cons: But THIS board seems prone to sudden failure. I put the machine together in February and set it up in the office. Then suddenly in July, it's totally dead. Order a replacement ( to keep my OEM Windows License) and it's DOA as well.. And I note the high number of Single egg DOA's listed here.

Other Thoughts: I had hoped that ASRock would prove to be a good mid-priced, Moderate performance MOBO for casual use or general office tasks...but after two Dead Board of the same type-- I consider ASRock to be Undependable and it's Products Not to be Trusted. I'll stay with Gigabyte from Now on.

5 out of 5 eggsNice little board!

Pros: PRICE! Very few options can compare to this board at this price.

Everything ran perfectly right out of the box. USB 3.0/ SATA 3.0.

Cons: At this price point I can't complain. BUT:

-There's only 2 RAM slots.
-Limited fan controllers
-No USB 3.0 headers

But at this price, I really couldn't care. It has the essentials covered.

Other Thoughts: On my budget build I have this set up with an i5 2500, 8 GB RAM, and a 6870.

Performance exceeds expectations. I've had this for over a year and no hiccups yet. If you're strapped for cash, this is a solid option.

4 out of 5 eggsUSB 3.0 don't work

Pros: Handles all my stuff i have on it, GTX 560, 12Gb Ram, I5 Core 2500k, 620 Watt PS.

Cons: USB 3.0 Ports does not work and it makes me mad sort of.

Other Thoughts: Wish the 3.0 ports would work so i could use them for my 3.0 cable i have like an External Hard Drive since im all out of 2.0 Ports and from what i heard is it is back wards compatible with 2.0 so i used a 2.0 cable and still does not work so i know for fact it is ruined or something happened when i bought it. But i never thought of testing it out when i had any cables to hook up to 2.0

4 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: Easy to setup, great features, no complaints so far.

Cons: Would really love a couple more fan controllers!

Other Thoughts: Not sure what the culprit is yet, but in the last week I've experienced two BSOD. Possibly related to the graphics adapter. Have since updated some drivers, haven't done much else for diagnosing.

Computer is absolutely blazing fast, from power on to windows desktop in about 15 seconds.

Intel I3 2120 Sandy Bridge
G.SKILL F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL (2x4GB)
Corsair Carbide Series 300R case
Samsung 830 MZ 128GB SSD

Also a USB 3.0 pci-e adapter so I can use the 3.0 front case ports.

Window 7 Pro 64bit

Running on board Intel HD Graphics.
