5 out of 5 eggsGreat board

Pros: Great. This is my first board with a UEFI BIOS, and I love it, used it to overclock my i7 3770k from 3.5 to 3.9 with no problems. Would buy again i another build

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsSurprizingly relaiable

Pros: Reliable and cheap. I was able to use 2 of these to assemble a bunch of left over parts into 2 working computers. One for my workshop to stream video while working and the other for my daughter. The one for my daughter had the chip fail because my dolt son in-law was messing around with the CPU cooler and broke one of the clips. They got a new computer and gave that one back to me. I put in another chip and I've used it for over a year. I probably have a couple years on these 2 boards and I'm also not surprised they still offer them.

Cons: Only 2 memory slots.

5 out of 5 eggsGood so far

Pros: Worked perfect right out of the box. Didn't have to reinstall OS (win 7 64) after installation which was nice. Not like the old XP days when you had to install drivers to get anything to work. Maybe this is a Win 7 feature and not really the board but regardless I like it.

Cons: Probably the biggest con I have is having to use a jumper to switch to FSB1600, which seems a bit outdated to me but no big deal. Really only other con I can think of is the bad reputation this product seems to have so I got lucky and didn't get a DOA board and hopefully it will last at least a couple years. Other than this my biggest gripe is the way the CPU fan connects to the board for all modern Intel Chips. I really hate the peg in the board method, seems like the old style was easier to mount, but whatever it works and it's not this manufacturers choice anyway.

Other Thoughts: Seems that maybe this board is getting too many bad reviews, maybe because the users don't know exactly what they are doing with regards to hardware requirements for the board, and maybe the jumpers as well since that will be a show stopper if not set right. All in all the board seems to be working good for me and was probably the easiest board switch I've done yet. Running quad core with 4g ram 64 bit sys.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: DOA

Cons: Dead on arrival. It's up to you whether or not you want to roll the dice with this brand. it is one if the few left that still support 775. I had bad luck with mine and now i have to wait another week without a decent comp.

Other Thoughts: I dont know if this brand makes good components or not, I dont really care to find out. My RMA has already been shipped and ill be looking for another mobo that supports 775

1 out of 5 eggsAŠŠ CROTCH Never buy Asrock

Pros: None

Cons: Doesnt boot. Always dissapointed with them. I will never buy again from them. I only bought it because it is the one of the few 775 motherboards still on the market. $70 is quite lame for 7-9 year old technology. My core 2 quad is 8 years old and was still rocking till my Foxconn board died. Asrock never rocks. I want my money back and the shipping cost ughh.

Other Thoughts: I bought a Asrock AM3+ board a few years ago that actually booted for 5 whole seconds before dying. what a waste. Went with Asus instead on that build.

1 out of 5 eggs0 Stsrs

Pros: Good for older hardware for spare pc.

Cons: Mother board died after 7 months of easy use. I figure about 30 -50 hours of total run time.

Other Thoughts: Should have bought ASUS

5 out of 5 eggsSolid little board

Pros: Great board for older upgrade or rebuild.
Old m.b. was quirky and SLOW...
To be fair I was using IDE because the board would'nt run sata and ide at same time.
This board fit the bill.

Using P4 ht, 3 ghz.
Kingmax value ram 2* 1 gb...ddr2 667mhz.
WD raptor 76gb, 10,000 rpm.
Asus dvd drive.
Rosewell 580w power supply.
Nvidia 210 graphics.

Most of this stuff is retread...or leftovers from old rebuilds for other people.
It all worked great.
Asus dvd was brand new.

Running all sata on this board.

Once all windows updates were in place... windows xp seems very stable.
That is...untill my kids infect it with a virus...AGAIN.

Cons: Micro atx....small complaint.
I like full size atx....no big deal.

Sata headers MIGHT get blocked by larger video cards.
Mine is small...but a larger card might be a problem.

Other Thoughts: Decent board if you need an older tech board.

Built a more modern computer while doing this one.

Newer tech...and operating sysrems are a pleasure compared to XP and it's headaches.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: It's cheap and it supports your old ddr2 memory

Cons: Loses all devices, then forgets boot order, requiring a reconfig in bios. Loses devices sporadically, you reboot you may be missing one or two devices. Sometiimes it doesn't boot at all, requiring another restart. It's junk.

Other Thoughts: Buy a ddr3 board and cpu, this one is overcooked.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear ASRock Customer

We sincerely apologize that you having difficulty with boot option.
Set First boot device to desired drive at BIOS, Boot, save and exit.

The other option, press F11 repeatedly once system is started to bring boot option, select desired drive to boot.
