1 out of 5 eggsAsrock Support Terrible

Pros: Cheap board, reasonably stable.

Cons: I have an event 51 on w2k when ever a hard drive is changed. I put in a ticket with detailed information on 10-16-15. As of one week later on 10-23-15, no response yet. I bought 6 of these boards and all have the problem. It seems problem is both hardware and software related. I thought I would get a response by now. This will be the last Asrock purchase.

Other Thoughts: If there was a way to give 0 eggs I would. This really doesn't surprise me since most system board manufacturers give lousy tech support.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Richard,

3 out of 5 eggsGlad it's here but I wouldn't buy it again

Pros: - It works
- One of last 775 Boards on Newegg

Cons: - Expensive
- Features are average
- Had to update BIOS
- Spent several hours configuring

Other Thoughts: In the last month, I have built 2 cheap computers. One used a 1155 socket and this one uses the 775 socket. In the end, both cost about the same. Bad news is 775 is more trouble than it's worth. Save yourself some time and a headache, use the newer socket.

Pros: Good board so far from yesterdays high Tech.. I was able to put a dual core and 4 gigs ram and a Old 5870 gpu card in the system all is well so far .. Thanks Newegg and Asrock.

Cons: The only con I can see is if you have a big graphics card it will block your sata ports work around for this but not all ports is a buy right angled sata cables.

Other Thoughts: Its nice to know these are still out there not everyone is wanting a I 3 or I 5 just yet.... Still good performance out of the older socket 775 for lite gaming and web and email...

Cons: Lan failed 2 months ago (threw in a network card), today the primary sata connector failed.

Pros: PS/2 PORT

Cons: ANY BODY HAVING PROBLEM WITH THE PS/2 PORT?

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued ASRock Customer

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
The PS/2 port is plug and play, which should not be having problem.
Please clear the CMOS.
Test with another known good PS/2 keyboard (without Y cable).

4 out of 5 eggsgood budget motherboard

Pros: Decent performance
Everything included as advertised
Still working after 3+ years

Cons: Seems to have a bad reputation, I can't comment on that myself

Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace a bad OEM board for a relative of mine. I simply wanted something high on the value scale without needing terrific performance. This board did the job fine, still running after about 3 years now.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper fast shipping

Pros: I still need to install this MB into my system but I wanted to say something very positive about it now. I ordered this board about 6:20 am on 5/03/2015 and today being 5/09/2015 it was delivered. I chose the option to not pay for delivery and received exceptional service. I've been buying from Newegg for around 9 years now and I've almost always got my order very fast and not paid for shipping. (quite cool huh?) "Good going Newegg!"

Cons: Awesome people do deal with!

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: None

Cons: Came very cheap and packaging of the item made it seemed like it was a returned item. Didn't have the luck the others had with a working board but instead received a dead one. Very expensive for this old board and the company seemed to be taking advantage of people trying to fix their old gen computers...

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued ASRock Customer

Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
We will be more than happy to assist you if mainboard is malfunctioned.
Please trouble shoot the mainboard to check if it resolved.

• Unplug the ATX power, remove all components from mainboard.
• Remove the mainboard from chassis, place it on mainboard’s box.
• Clear the CMOS.
• Reseat the CPU and heatsink fan.
• Test with single memory module.
• Test with onboard video.
• Plug the 24 + 4 pins ATX power.
• Connect the chassis power switch to mainboard, and try again.

1 out of 5 eggsFailed after six months

Pros: Worked as advertised until it failed almost six months to the day after purchase.

Cons: Catastrophic failure after six months of service. At least one capacitor showing signs of swelling.

Other Thoughts: This was installed for a client who couldn't afford to replace his older computer after the original mobo failed. He is not going to be happy, and I can't blame him. Neither am I.

5 out of 5 eggsRetraction of earlier comment.

Pros: Good board so far. Lots of features. Running Intel core 2 Quad
Q9550 chip. Had bad memory modular plugged in, which gave a failure to post. Changed memory and all is well. I'll see how this board does long term.

Cons: None so far. Just make sure any older parts you use are good.

Other Thoughts: That bad memory chip drove me crazy, since I thought all were
good. I was going to return, but will now keep board.
