2 out of 5 eggsGreat Ideal/Disappointed

Pros: This board as many great features and the bios are great and easy to navigate (Some of the best bios I have used).

Cons: On-Board sound was dead on arrival, but since I use SoundBlaster card, I was able to work around that. But now I am thinking I should have RMA'd it from the get go.

Other Thoughts: As stated above, On-Board sound was D.O.A.. From the day I bought it the "DR Debug" led was flashing random numbers, but I installed windows without any problems and the board seemed stable. Now 6 months later the board will not load windows. The LED's (Debug) flashes many numbers then goes out and blue screen of death pops on screen and system locks up. Treid new install of windows, but still same results. Tried many different memory sticks, processor, and drives. Now I am stuck with a pretty paper weight. This was my first ASRock, and probably will be my last. (I really thought this was going to be my favorite board ever, but...)

5 out of 5 eggsSo far So good

Pros: very solid motherboard w/great bios i had a lil trouble installing by no fault of the mobo at first but once i got everything it works like a champ, loving everything so far i paired w/ a richland 4.1ghz processor everything booted up nicely. i did get a crash at first but i know that was my own fault, i was playing with stuff instead of installing the driver right away.

Cons: none i can think of so far

Other Thoughts: this is a great mobo for the money, i believe i made the right choice in this matter hopefully we'll continue smooth sailing

5 out of 5 eggs... love it

Pros: this is a solid board. it has more fetures then i thought. i havnt had an issue with this board once since ive had it. all i can say is ive been an AMD fan so this board sticks up to what its built for

Cons: what?!! cons?!! you got to be kidding... ok just one. i love it... wait not a con

Other Thoughts: if you plan on doing some overclocking fast and soon keep i mind tat not all games support OC fetures yet and may lagg on you from this feture.

5 out of 5 eggsASROCK For the win!

Pros: Great price, powerful motherboard. Install was easy and the soft overclock feature was great. the xfast apps are an excellent addition.

Cons: None so far. It works as it advertized.

Other Thoughts: This really brought the build together. Great for the budget gamer that still wants to play the new games.

2 out of 5 eggsdied for no reason within 30 days

Pros: Good amount of ports and connectors for whatever you want to connect to it

Cons: Died within 30 days from "static damage" according to ASRock customer support. Impossible since I shut it down and didn't even open the case before I turned it on to use it again the same day.

Other Thoughts: Got sent through 3 people at ASRock customer service before I got to the one that could help me and then took a while to get the forms to even START the return process. Will update my review once I find out what happens and how it will go.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsGreat MOBO

Pros: It's a great motherboard for the price (got it bundled with the A10 5800K) and it booted up into Win XP/ 7 / 8 easily and even boots into Linux: Unbuntu with no issues.
No issues with memory (using F3-12800CL10D-16GBXL) or anything that would cause any crashes, freezes or anything.

Cons: I haven't really noticed any to be honest.

1 out of 5 eggsIncompatible with everything!

Pros: It was bundled with a 4.2ghz quad core cpu, which works fine until...

Cons: Never successfully boots into Windows (7). I am no ID10T, in fact I am only 2 classes away from finishing my PC Support degree, and I cannot get this board to work with ANYTHING. I have tried disabling every single option in the BIOS, 4 different brand hard drives, 2 different brand and speed/voltage/size ram sticks, usb/ps2 keyboards, removed every installed card, disconnected any unnecessary devices--still wont boot. If I am lucky, the Windows loading screen will begin to display and then freeze--otherwise, BSOD.

Other Thoughts: I just tried to contact the manufacturer, but it is Chinese New Year and it says not to expect a response until after (not unreasonable, but definitely no help to me solving the problem). Should I ever get the board working, I will modify my rating (if that is possible), but for now, I am stuck with $250 in useless computer hardware, and no computer (I am writing this from my laptop).

Manufacturer Response:

Dear AsRock Customer

We sincerely apologize that you having difficulty with mainboard. For the Windows booting issue, please set the UEFI BIOS default, install fresh Windows and mainboard drivers which come with mainboard CD disc. Test with 1 stick memory, try with another known good memory if its same issue. Check the CPU and system are not overheating. If still having same issues please contact our tech support at 909-590-8308. We can assist you shortly

4 out of 5 eggsIt works.

Pros: It works
Good overclocking support

Cons: The Dr. Debug is useless. I'll have the machine up and running and it'll be reading "99" (PCI-E or VGA error, I forget). Funny thing- it works perfectly. Then other times, I'll get keyboard errors on it- but nothing is wrong.
Also, Lucid sucks.

3 out of 5 eggsIt overclocks the memory by default

Pros: It has a nice feature set for the price. Plenty of SATA III connections and USB 3.0 connections.

Cons: The board overclocks the memory by default. I initially put in the standard DDR3 1.5v memory modules, and immediately had problems with boot. When I checked the BIOS, I saw that it had set the memory voltage at 1.58v, not 1.5v, and when I tried to adjust it down, I saw that it didn't even give me the option of setting it at 1.5v - 1.58v was the lowest setting available.

Other Thoughts: After trying and failing to install Win7 about 6 different times (it would just crash at various different stages of installation), I finally gave up and got memory that runs at 1.65v. After I made this change, the experience was completely different - everything worked smoothly and exactly as expected. Since the standard DDR3 voltage is 1.5v, I think Asrock made a mistake by not even giving us the option of setting it to that standard voltage. I was ready to throw this board out the window before I decided to try higher voltage memory. For this frustrating experience alone, I dock two eggs - that frustration was completely unnecessary. Asrock: don't cheat, don't over tweak things by default. And, by the way, my first set of memory that I tried to use in this build is fine: I just used it in an Intel CPU build without any problems.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear AsRock Customer

We sincerely apologize that you having difficulty with memory setting under BIOS.
