This motherboard is available with support for either ATX or DC-In power supplies. DC-In jack can wisely replace a traditional power supply place, and thus easily PClizes any multimedia entertainments! Plus a 24-pin ATX power connector that meets any power supply and fits your PC requirement!

Some sensitive digital components on the motherboard are vulnerable to power surges, the excessive current may cause your system to malfunction immediately. ASRock Full Spike Protection includes various technologies to prevent your motherboard's components from being damaged by these unexpected voltage spikes.
AM1H-ITX AM1H-ITX Surge Protection

AM1H-ITX What you've never understood about your computer is that it is scared to death of water, H2O, humidity or whatever you'd like to name it. And even though you do not see the water, actually there may be lots of excessive moist in the air killing your motherboard silently and slowly. No, your motherboard doesn't melt when in contact with water like the wicked witch of the west, but it dies of short circuit. Luckily, ASRock has a new High Density Glass Fabric PCB design that reduces the gaps between the PCB layers to protect the motherboard against electrical shorts caused by humidity.
AM1H-ITX AM1H-ITX ASRock is determined to use high quality materials to build the best motherboards, that's why all the capacitors on this motherboard are built with 100% solid capacitors. These solid capacitors bring long lasting durability and ultra stable performance.
AM1H-ITX Two USB 3.0 5Gbps ports plus 2 SATA3 6Gbps ports for supporting all of your peripherals with fast data transfer speed.
AM1H-ITX Even though this convenient mini-PCIe slot cannot be used for cooking scrumptious bacon pancakes, it still proves itself to be very useful for connecting an Wi-Fi card that grants wireless Internet connection.
AM1H-ITX This ASRock motherboard uses a Realtek Gigabit LAN chip to support extremely fast Internet connections.
AM1H-ITX Never run out of graphics outputs! In case you have to connect four different types of monitors all at once, this motherboard supports all four kinds of graphics D-Sub, DVI-D, HDMI and DispalyPort.

ASRock Interactive UEFI is a blend of system configuration tools with cool sound effects and stunning visuals. The unprecedented UEFI provides a more attractive interface and brings a lot more amusement.

In a world where time is money, why waste precious time everyday typing usernames to log in to Windows? Why should we even bother memorizing those foot long passwords? Nobody has time for that! Just plug in the USB Key and let your computer log in to windows automatically!
AM1H-ITX Easy Driver Installer

For users that don't have an optical disk drive to install the drivers from our support CD, Easy Driver Installer is a handy tool in the UEFI that installs the LAN driver to your system via an USB storage device, then downloads and installs the other required drivers automatically through the Internet. Completely no CD or optical disk drive required!
AM1H-ITX AM1H-ITX Dehumidifier

Dampness kills most electronics, so it's a better idea to keep your personal computer dry. Now users may prevent motherboard damages due to dampness by enabling Dehumidifier. When it is enabled, the computer will power on automatically to dehumidify the system after entering S4/S5 state.
AM1H-ITX ASRock OMG (Online Management Guard)

5 out of 5 eggsVersatile

Pros: DC in. Using an old laptop brick is a huge plus in building a cheap HTPC.
No noise, and very low power consumption. There is a power connector on the motherboard to power 2 sata drives. Somr itx cases come with a converter board to do this, but no need when you have this board! If you want to use all four, I would assume you need to put a power supply in.

AMD 5350 plays every video I've thrown at it no problem.

Cons: only two drives are powered through the board.

Other Thoughts: This is a sweet little board. 2x8GB sticks of RAM, 4x4TB drives and using FreeNAS turns it into a nice file server.

I built one for my dad, as an internet box and put it in a supermicro ITX case
With the stock cooler, a minor case mod was needed to close it up

I've had three different uses for this board, and it excelled in all scenarios. ..Flawlessly

5 out of 5 eggsGood for basic computing

Pros: If you're looking for a performance review, move on to the next review. This review is about an ITX build and other hard to find info I wish I had.

The stock HSF that came with my APU is too tall to fit in my ITX case, it blocked HDD and slim disk drive. Instead get the Gelid HSF (sold by NewEgg, link at bottom). Also you will need a sata to slim sata adapter (if using notebook type cd/dvd drive).

Motherboard has 3 fan headers, all three capable of controlling 3 wire fan speed, by CPU temp. Two of these can also controll a 4 wire fan. The difference is with 3 wire speed circuit is on motherboard and generic for fans, with 4 wire speed circuit is on fan and specific for that fan.

Mini Pcie socket can take any wifi or other notebook half size micro PCIe. An SSD will fit, but mSata has different wiring so a mSata SSD will not work. No problems connecting SSDs to any of the four Sata ports, I just wanted to save space in my tiny ITX case.

If you connect a displayport monitor you may need a VGA or DVI or HDMI display to get into BIOS to change from HDMI to DP. Dual monitor is possible, with one monitor analog (VGA/DVI) and other digital (HDMI/DP). I currently have one monitor at 1900x1200 and another at 1360x768. Both monitors are a max resolution. Useful for office work, document on one and internet on other. I am using Linux Mint 17.2 64 bit. Performance is fine as long as you don't try to run the latest games.

Your OS should plug into an A port (next to case power switch), then drive control is by a motherboard chip, one less thing for APU to manage. But use other SATA port if your OS does not have the ASmedia driver. Sata_A1 and Sata_A2 are controlled by a motherboard chip, Sata_1 and Sata_2 are controlled by APU.

Other headers: 1x RS232, 2x USB 2 (2 ports each 4 USB), 1x USB 3.0 (2 ports), case audio, internal speaker, TPMS.

Cons: None I can think of. Maybe add an M2 socket for SSD?

Other Thoughts: Antenna to use with wifi:

Low profile AM1 fan:

Slim sata adapter (you need if using slim cd/dvd drive):

5 out of 5 eggsNo problems for a Novice.

Pros: Posted right away.
Lots of Sata connections to work with.
Options on power (supply or DC in).

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Built two HTPCs with this and the AMD 5350. Great results from a budget build both times.

5 out of 5 eggsExccelnt Board for HTPC Builds

Pros: I purchased my first board to build a PC inside a small nintendo case. While it is not completely fanless(the processor heatsync has a fan once added) it is extremely quiet and runs very cool. The DC-In jack saves a ton of space without the requirement for an internal power supply. making it perfect for custom builds in a non computer case.

Video playback is smooth using the onboard HDMI.

The BIOS has some excellent features, such as "fast boot" which boots to windows 8 in under 3 seconds with ssd installed and my favorite, a boot from keyboard/usb feature where you can power on the device by pressing '98' on an attached usb keyboard

Cons: None, although id love to see a similar board from ASROCK that supports beefer AMD processors

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for HTPC Build

Pros: Onboard USB 3 headers
19 volt dc power input available (if the 150W in my case goes belly up)
HDMI port

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: I bought this to build a Kodi box for my home entertainment system.
AMD Athlon 5350
Sandisk 128GB SSD
G.Skill Ares 4GB DDR3 1600
Antec ISK 300-150

3 out of 5 eggsuntil i really know

Pros: i like this board and would like to get it to post

Cons: does not post

Other Thoughts: until i have exhuasted all options i want slam this board
i've sent this board back twice, twice;everything seems to
be working (i,e. power supply, cpu, optical drive, new harddrive,
and a new adata ssd) the only thing i didn't change was the ram
2 sticks@1600mhz 8GB X2); i'll go through the process elimination by taking each stick of ram out one by one and the cpu to see if it will post.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice board.

Pros: I bought the Asrock AM1H-ITX for my living room htpc and I love this board. Layout is perfect for my case, Antec ISK600, it has 2x the sata ports than other boards, usb 3.0 header, able to install low power video card, etc. This system is pretty much silent and cool.

Paired with a 5350 APU
Antec ISK 600 Case
4GB Crucial Ballistix Sport
PNY Nvidia GT 720
Seasonic SS300 PSU
Samsung 850 Evo 120GB (OS)
WD 2TB Black Data
Samsung Slimline DVD

Cons: I have none. Everything on this just works.

Other Thoughts: I bought the Asus one first, trying to stay loyal, but it just had no features, I couldn't even install a GT720 w PCI-E x4 on it and no USB 3 header.

Asrock may have a new customer for motherboards.

5 out of 5 eggsFeature Rich

Pros: Has quite a few bells & whistles for the price. Powers with a laptop brick. Great for a general use machine or an HTPC or both. A quad-core build for about $250 is possible with this platform.

Cons: I, too, had problems with the USB 3.0 controller driver. Solved by getting the chipset drivers directly for the AMD site.

Other Thoughts: Build:
AMD 5350 2.05Ghz Quad-Core Processor
MSI AM1I Mini ITX AM1 Motherboard
Team Elite 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Western Digital BLACK SERIES 500GB 2.5" 7200RPM HDD
Mini-Box M350 HTPC Case
ASUS 19V 3.42A 65W AC Adapter
