2 out of 5 eggsbeep beep beep....

Pros: cheap, cheap, cheap... if your on a budget

Cons: Manual is missing troubleshooting info, such as...
For those having issues with it beeping. be sure you have a power supply powerful enough. Also, avoid adapters for the cpu JPW. You won't get enough voltage going to your CPU resulting in the beep nightmare described below.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Had almost all of the features I was looking for except RAID.

Cons: Dead on arrival.

Other Thoughts: I should have paid more attention to the opinion of others. Thank you Newegg for your AWESOME service!

1 out of 5 eggsVery disappointing

Pros: Looks nice. Theoretically has all the features I need.

Cons: Beeps over and over when turned on. This "code" is not listed in the manual, and the tech support could not make heads or tails of it. I have tried removing the memory AND replacing the CPU AND connecting a hard drive. No joy. Piece of junk IMO.

Other Thoughts: Tech support was polite and friendly, but totally useless. They asked the same questions over and over; they suggested swapping out CPU as a TROUBLESHOOT. Worst of all, neither of them could hear the beep codes that were practically making my ears bleed, even when I jammed the phone's mic right up to the !@$#ing mobo speaker. They had no clue what an unending series of beeps meant and seemed unable to grasp the concept. Also, the board has "DDR3 800/1067 required" printed right on it, and I had to ask them about that twice before they told me "1333 is supported". I am unconvinced.

1 out of 5 eggsNether Board Recognized Memory

Pros: Was what I needed, and an upgrade from a dead MB.

Cons: I got two of these boards from newegg. Both boards have been rma'd. Neither recognized the 1.5 volt memory from crucial nor the corsair memory. The board was just stuck on no memory faults. Dont waste your time and shipping expenses.

Other Thoughts: Thanks again for the newegg returns. I will go back to newegg for the replacement mb in a few minutes.

5 out of 5 eggsWorking

Pros: After reading the reviews here I was some what concerned. I just made sure I ordered 8GB of 1.5V memory. Slapped in the memory last night, a Q8400, 3Ware 9650 and a pair of 3TB drives (mirrored) and this mother board is humming just perfectly. Running Ubuntu 10.10

Cons: None so far

4 out of 5 eggs1.5v Memery

Pros: For those complaining about memory not being excepted. Or no compliance with your memory configurations. The memory standard is 1.5v, which means not all memory manufactures follow this. But here's an idea ever wonder, if you shop for boards and pay attention to the QVL's, why Kingston is always on the list. With no issues, its because they make quality: no quirky speeds, or voltages. Rock solid 1.5v dimms! That being said about standards it should also be brought to everyones attention, that 1333 dimms are the highest for any board to recognize without having to set manually. Last thing to state about knowledge is if it is a Intel chipset as of current will go up to 1333 with all dimms populated, higher with manual setting. If and AMD chipset currently only 2 dimms at 1066 before manual settings required.

Cons: Those that complain and blame companies for their hardware, when its the misuse or lack of knowledge of the product before buying. Homework before holler. Tired of rants and ads, and not getting real reviews. Yes I know this may look like a rant, but we all need to know such things when picking hardware.

Other Thoughts: This really isn't an after thought but if I told you brfore hand you wouldn't have read the review. I do not own this product currently. Although am considering it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat G45 ATX motherboard

Pros: When comparing to other G45 motherboards in the market, it has 3 PCIE and 2 PCI slots that gives a great flexibility for add on cards. It is cheap and running really fast with an E8400 CPU.

Cons: No overclocking and no RAID support.

Other Thoughts: It kind of sad that it only supports 1.5V DIMM. But since I'm not doing any overclocking, it is very stable with a Kingston DDR3 1333 DIMM. As a non-overclocker, i'm happy with all the functions built in this board.

4 out of 5 eggsGood MB. Would buy again.

Pros: Fast, stable, lots of features, no real problems so far.

Cons: Ok, so I said no real problems. The only problem I've encountered so far is that when the system powers down, the mother board does not cut the power to the keyboard/mouse ps2 ports. So my system is off, but the light on the optical mouse and the little LEDs on the keyboard are still on. Kind of annoying.

Other Thoughts: For you linux users, the latest linux kernel has out of the box support for the integrated graphics! That's something that I've been having a hard time finding.

So the only reason I gave this board a 4 instead of a 5 is that it doesn't turn off the power to the keyboard/mouse ps2 ports when the computer shuts down.
If it weren't for that, I'd of given it a 5.
But in spite of this little glitch, I'd still buy this mb again if I had to do over.

2 out of 5 eggs50-50

Pros: Nicely laid out, Good feature set.

Cons: I ordered two of these boards, for nearly identical configurations (8GB 1.5V DDR3-1333, 2 SATA HD, SATA DVD/RW, same case), one with a Q9300, one with a Q9400. The software on the two machine is the same disk image (identical, except for the system name).

The MB with the Q9300 is rock solid. The MB with the Q9400 won't remain stable for more than a few hours with more than 1 stick of 2GB DRAM. Any of the four sticks is stable, so the DRAM is OK. Even underrating the timing for the RAM won't stabilize it. MB and CPU temps under 40C. The DRAM is identical in the two machines.

Other Thoughts: Supermicro tech support not useful.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst Motherboad I've ever purchased

Pros: It has many usb ports, and has video and audio built in, which is what I was looking for.

Cons: Heh. I cannot keep the darn thing running. Every few boots I have to reset the CMOS and it will then run fine for about 2 or 3 boots. A huge inconvenience.

Other Thoughts: I was tricked. I had read quite a few good reviews of this motherboard, then purchased it. When I used it and found out that it was worthless I went back to find the good reviews and instead they had all been replaced with the TRUE reviews. If you see any good reviews for this product, I'd assume they were paid for. I have talked to many others who ATTEMPTED to use this board and found it to be money well wasted. It is completely useless.
