5 out of 5 eggsGreat Mid-Range Board

Pros: Price. This is a great mid range board! If your looking for a simple mobo at a low price to get things done this is your board! Thanks newegg!

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Got this with an Athlon II X2 2.8GHz and 4 GB DDR2 as an upgrade. Everything thing went smooth and with out a glitch. Great product and this thing runs great for the price. Very happy with this upgrade.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product for the price

Pros: Worked great right out of the box, easy to set up, easy to use.

Cons: Not enough case fan plugs. I'm bad with technical terms, but if you look closely it only has 2 spots for fans, 1 for the cpu, 1 for a 'sys' fan. I have 2 case fans, so 1 is plugged directly into a molex connector and runs at 100% all the time. The other is plugged directly into the motherboard and is modulated automatically, which means it runs much quieter. Again, I simply wish it had more 'sys' fan connectors.

Other Thoughts: This was the motherboard I chose for my first build, a home server running WHS. No regrets.

4 out of 5 eggshard to review! good and bad points

Pros: great feature set for the price. hd audio, good graphics for an integrated chipset, lots of BIOS options, good enthusiast Foxconn utilities. devices are easy to install in Windows 7 and Vista. has a diverse amount of connections including a parallel port

Cons: there's no motherboard plug for the speaker. so yes, there's no way to tell what kind of posting problem you have. it can't detect the correct voltage for the ram so if you plug in 2 sticks and the system doesn't post, you have to take out the second stick, bump up the voltage for the ram in the bios, and then the system can handle 2 sticks. cumbersome. the website is a disaster. half the time, you get database problems when you click on a link.

Other Thoughts: the first board i got was DOA. but the second board worked perfectly except for the RAM problem. the average installer is not going to realize that you need to bump up the voltage for 2 sticks. plus, there is no voltage as in 1.8V, 1.85V, 1.9V, etc. for RAM. It's +50mV, +100mV. so you need to see what the initial voltage (digging thru menus and text and then do the math to set the correct voltage for the ram). so my RAM was 2.0V RAM so i found out the BIOS was at 1.872V. so I had to select +150mV. math! the horror! :)

i'm giving a 4 based on the great features once it's running. if i was a n00b, i'd give it a 2 because most people just plug and play. not posting with 2 sticks of RAM, not having a speaker plug, and arriving DOA on the first try is not the way to go.

4 out of 5 eggsGood, but be careful

Pros: Stable but you need to update bios if you are using AM+ and 1066 ram. Bumped 4gigs gskill ddr2 up to 2.5v and ran smooth with memtest86. Showed bad mem when at 2.0v. This is the 2nd of these boards I have used and am well pleased with them.

Cons: 24pin pwr slot kind of in the way and would like to see one more fan plug but the two that are present are 4pin.
Coolermaster Elite 341
Gskill ddr2 1066
Kuma 7750BE
Samsung 640gb hard drive
LG and Samsung DVDRW

Other Thoughts: Stock heatsink runs Kuma at about 40c. Tried o'clock to 3ghz and started getting unknown bios error. Was going to RMA but Flashed BIOS with floppy(caldera dos) and problem went away. Checked mem with memtest86 and got errors until bumping voltage up to 2.5v. Runs fine now and would buy again for midrange rig.

4 out of 5 eggsBang 4 the Buck

Pros: Cheap MB that supports AM2/+ processors. Fits great in my old HP Pavillion case. Not bad onboard video too. A lot of features to play with in the BIOS. Can actually OC the CPU, and onboard graphics.

Cons: Had trouble with the Realtek LAN drivers. Ended up just disabling it and using my PCI ethernet card.

Other Thoughts: Support site could be a little better I think.

5 out of 5 eggsNice clean little board

Pros: Very well laid out board. Took it out of the box slapped it in and havent had to do squat. This is to replace an HP motherboard in a old pavilion and it works well. Bios is great, many options.

On board Radeon 3100 gets a 3.9 Vista score, much better than other boards with the Nvidia 6100.

Cons: Printer port? No 1394 or eSata

Other Thoughts: Remember Only 2 Ram slots so plan your Ram wisely.
