Best Deal for a mid-rang MOBO
- Pros: I purchased 3 of these motherboards because I read the reviews. About half said BSOD or dead or it was a shatty board. I was honestly expecting 1 of the 3 to be dead.... but hey for 50 bucks, free shipping, and a ATI graphic card build onboard that can play most games its a deal even if one didn't work. But guess what??? THEY ALL WORKED FINE!!! WHAT THE HECK?? this gave me a delema, I only needed two. But they all worked? Amazed by this I just gave one to a friend and ordered a dual amd cpu for less than 100!! It increased the speed of his computer, lowered temps.
- Cons: Other reviewers. I mean I don't think half the people who write stuff on this board know how to read specs or put a computer together! for example:
"sportbikerr1"-Only supports 4gb? why not 8gb with 2 chips or "Kaycee"-The connection for FP audio is limited to HD only -Only one PATA on board (my old stuff is all PATA) COME ON PEOPLE READ THE SPECS YOU KNOW THIS WHEN YOU BUY IT. ITS FIDDY DOLLA YO.
- Other Thoughts: one of the three system this went into was running window xp pro sp3, download updated audio driver on mobo support website. Totally took like 5mins. If i could give this 9 eggs out of 5 I would.
Windows XP HD Audio Tip
- Pros: None - Do Not Own This Model
- Cons: None - Do Not Own This Model
- Other Thoughts: I was reading the reviews for this and noted comments on having HD audio problems with XP. I own the Foxconn C51XEM2AA board (great so far, but no longer available). After building system, I briefly tried XP Service Pack 3 and it recognized that I had HD audio whereas before there was no such indication with SP2. However, since I purchased an expensive sound card, I did not enable it. You will need to probably install XP SERVICE PACK 3 for your HD audio to work. Same is likely true for similar situations/boards.

Great Mid-Range Board
- Pros: Price. This is a great mid range board! If your looking for a simple mobo at a low price to get things done this is your board! Thanks newegg!
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: Got this with an Athlon II X2 2.8GHz and 4 GB DDR2 as an upgrade. Everything thing went smooth and with out a glitch. Great product and this thing runs great for the price. Very happy with this upgrade.
DOA
- Pros: None
- Cons: DOA
- Other Thoughts: Wouldn't turn on.
Great product for the price
- Pros: Worked great right out of the box, easy to set up, easy to use.
- Cons: Not enough case fan plugs. I'm bad with technical terms, but if you look closely it only has 2 spots for fans, 1 for the cpu, 1 for a 'sys' fan. I have 2 case fans, so 1 is plugged directly into a molex connector and runs at 100% all the time. The other is plugged directly into the motherboard and is modulated automatically, which means it runs much quieter. Again, I simply wish it had more 'sys' fan connectors.
- Other Thoughts: This was the motherboard I chose for my first build, a home server running WHS. No regrets.
